I used to fly the A-3B Skywarrior in various versions and configurations back in the 1960's. I would really love to have a really "good" model for FS2004. I have seen the great video of the AlphaSim A-3B Skywarrior Aircraft: http://www.bbq-videos.com/alphasim/whale.zip And, I see lots of repaints on various fs sites.Can't seem to find the A-3 Aircraft on AlphaSim or here.Any help in finding it would be greatly appreciated.CDR Woody

Hi,lately I've been flying the good ol' RFP B747-200/100 a lot (again), a Posky/RFP merge, actually, and everything is working like a dream. Besides the magnificent PW sounds that come with the RFP package and a freeware RR sounds, I am using the excellent GE soundset by Devyn Silverstein, available here at the library. Today, I decided to try another sound set, a payware GE soundset which was in fact made for another aircraft (B767). Just for kicks. And because it really sounds great on the Level-D B767. is there a way of taking the V.C from the default 777 fs9 and getting it to work on an addon aircraft...if so id like to try to do that..

Just by coincidence I came across this company "AeroSim" when I was looking for repaints of Saab340s in the AVSIM library. I thought I knew about every payware that was out there, but I guess I was wrong...I then checked their website, and it turns out they have a whole series of really stunning aircraft!!! So how come I haven't noticed them yet: Do they simply make less noise, i.e. spend less advertising dollars, than people like CLS, Flight1 and the like? Are their products bad, so nobody has them and praises them? Was I asleep? Can anyone tell me how their planes are? I am used to "high sophistication" addons like LevelD and PMDG, but I am happy to settle for a bit le…

Hi, Since the change from GMT to British summer time I have created 3 different IFR flights. On each occasion when I am nearing my destination, ATC gives me a heading and then tells me the runway (Visual) not ILS as I expected. On the last occasion the airport was Salz burg (LOWS) and the runway given was 16 visual, now according to my map runway 16 has an ILS approach 109.90 so why would atc give me a visual approach? Your help would be appreciated.

I have a really weird problem. I wonder if anyone can help me solve it?The problem is at Southampton Airport, UK (EGHI) - not sure about elsewhere, this is where I have noticed it for now. I have UK2000's scenery for EGHI, but even if I remove not only this, but ALL my FS addons, including any AFCADs, and fly with FS9 default 'out-of-the-box' scenery files (copied over from another PC I use for testing), including the scenery.cfg file of course, I get exactly the same thing.The problem is that all AI traffic (I have Ultimate Traffic installed), when it lands at EGHI, touches down half-way along the runway and then carries on quite some way past the end of the runway, turn…

I have been patiently building my fS9 for 3 months now. Tonight I reinstalled for the first time the Lago Maddog 2004 v 151_03. This causes my FS9 to crash on initial load - it does not go past 0%.I can only start it in some areas of the world. Most of Europe and the US will crash FS9.I ran the Lago uninstallers but they did not do a good job. I had to manually remove some files. I also want to remove the Lago menu item - how do I do that ?Anybody got any good tips on cleaning out Lago files ? One other detail : During the initial installation I was asked to confirm overwriting some files. Does anybody know which would these be ? :( :( :( Thanks for any tips/suggestions

First time I've had this problem.I have tried to uninstall Fs9 due to CTD's, but I get the message "unable to find 'unpatch.bat' file'. I looked in the BACKUP folder but onlyfound a file named 'unpatch.bak'?any help would be appreciated.Ken

I just installed the new Oakland (KOAK) airport enhancement by Mach1 (oak2009.zip).For the first time I am seeing runway "touchdown" tire marks which look quite realistic. At any default airport, the "rubber" marks extend the full length of the concrete runway when they really should only be at each end - where aircraft actually touch down.I have attached two screen shots - one shows what Oakland looks like and the other is the default KDFW.My question is this - has anyone run across a replacement texture set which displays the proper burned rubber markings as the Oakland airport does?I have looked at many replacement sets from the library here and none seem to include th…

First, I am a newbie with some experience...However, I just setup the FMS using FSBuild with the FAA approved flight plans from KIND to KCVG...using SIDS and STARS on the MD-11...I was flying at the recommended ALT. I noticed there was a difference from the actual FS-2004 and the map on the FMS screen...In other words I had to adjust all the "STAR" crossings about 1000 ft lower than the charts to make an approach into 18L at KCVG for autoland..It seems I read somewhere in the early materials (can't put a finger on it) that you had to make a ten mile or so difference from the actual charts to setup the modern FMS properly...Hope I explained this ok...Need some practical ex…

When using Active Camera with any view out the right-side of any aircraft I have no engine sounds. I have wind noise and so on but zero engine sound. Left-side views are just fine!Any ideas?Dave

HiJust have a question on FS9 flight planning regarding Altitude selection, it appears that there can only be 1 altitude for the entire flight eg I have the below flight plan that I have created as below but there is only an option for one altitude for all legs in FS9 Planner, is there any way to have different altitudes for each leg or is this a limitation of FS2004 flight planner, I have FSNAV and FSBUILD but cant seem to find a way to do this. Hi folks,I'm a big fan of Mr Ito's work and have downloaded his excellent WW11 Bristol Beaufighter.Unfortunately, there does not seem to be an option for tailwheel steering - unlike the default FS9 DC3 and other taildraggers.Opa has published instructions for tweaking the DC3 in one of his excellent 'tips and tricks' downloads, but there is no immediately obvious similarities with the Beaufighter's .cfg file.I know that differential braking or use of rudder can turn the aircraft on the ground, but I personally find tailwheel steer much easier.Any suggestions anybody ?Regards to all........Stuart U.K. :(

I have been having this problem for a little while and can't figure it out, and hoping someone can help. I week or so ago I installed a panel, and after that I got the fssound.dll error, I have fixed that by editing my fs9.cfg file. But the problem is, now when I fly IFR, I can go from clearance, grd, twr, dep, but then departure never hands me off to center. I have noticed that it does not hand any of the AI planes either. That is how I found the problem, because I fly with PFE, and that will hand me off to center, but then I don't hear another planes. So that is when I started to try the default ATC and found that it would not hand me off to Center. I flew from KR…

My AI always gets down on the runway, slows to 20 kts and spends its sweet time taxiing down to the next exit. Well, actually it usually skips several exits, but that's another story. Well, needless to say this really delays MSFS's already struggling ATC and I can sit at the hold short line with aircraft strung out on 7 NM spacing and wait 40 minutes to make in on to the runway. It would seem that if I could tell the AI to "taxi" down the runway to their turn off at say 45 kts (perfectly reasonable for a high-speed turn off at the class B airports I've spend my time around), I could potentially free up quite a bit of time. I feel like I've seen stuff about this before…

Whenever one adds new scenery to FS9 it's been recommended that you rebuild FS Navigator's database by using the 'Create Database' button. Ever since I reloaded FS Genesis terrain mesh back into my sim, it (understandably) takes much longer for FS Nav to now recreate it's database, taking about 5 minutes or so just to process the 'Default Terrain' folder.Now that I have rebuilt it's database a couple of times since I added FS Genesis, is it really necessary for me to keep the 'Default Terrain' checked in the 'Scenery Area' in FSNav so that FSNav HAS to inlcude it in the rebuild every time I add a new scenery? Good day fellow simmers and fellow owners of the Wilco/feelthere Airbus Series 2.There is one question been nagging me about this bird.How do I switch between Barometric and Hectopascals in this bird???? It is constantly in Barometric value and I can adjust that value, up or down.Right clicking the mouse switches between the selected BM value and STD value.But no Hp for me :-( So when I'm flying in Europe and the pressure is far above/below 29.92 I'm resorting to guesswork.Thanks in advance.Golli.

Neither CYHZ nor CYYT show in 'Go to airport' selection screen.I have the add-on FS2002 scenery for both airports by Steve & Craig Mosher and both show in the scenery library and are enabled.I also have the Flight Ontario scenery installed.If I disable CYYT, CYHZ and the Ontario scenery, CYHZ & CYYT are still not available in the 'Go to airport' selection window.Can anyone advise why these two airports do not appear in the list? I also suspect there are other airports missing in the same area.TIA
