Has anyone run across an AFCAD conversion tool that will convert an FSX AFCAD to FS9? Unfortunately the only AFCAD out there for KGRK is one that was built for FSX and I'd like to use it with FS9.

I'm a scenery novice and need the help of you scenery experts.Recently installed FS9 on a ned machine and added the FS Genesis mesh (didn't have it on my old machine).Now, the grass strip field near my house dispalys in a 225 foot hole with trees on the runway.The field is in New York, 4NY1, Orange Poultry Farm. Hi, um, the PSS 777 doesnt have sufficient Altitude callouts and V1, VR and V2 callouts. Can someone tell me how to get rid of these callouts as I want to replace them with the "FPDA altitude callout gauge".Or does anyone know what I can download to get these to work, including Altitude callouts from 2500ft.......10ft and V1, VR and V2 callouts to work and match with the CDU/FMC for the PSS 777.Ive got these :JELAIR Vspeed-gauge and Flaps PF Callouts v.2.1-really hard to install so didnt try.Please help, I want to make it like the PMDG 747, although I know I can't, cause PMDG is really good, please give me some ideas on what to download and how to get rid of some of these…

After lurking on the forums for a while I finally decided to join. My first topic is a question regarding FS9 scenery. Months back I found a file which replaced the original airport buildings, hangars etc. with updated versions, still a bit LQ-ish but looking so much better! After I reinstalled FS9 the ugly airport buildings are bothering me now. The problem is I can't find that file anywhere, in my memory it's quite small with only a few bmp-files, I skimmed through a million pages so I hope someone here knows! Please let me know, much appreciated. :(

hello everyone, so this just happened awhile ago, I'm flying a plane I always fly and then when I am on autopilot and need to change heading, my heading on my gps and heading indicator change all of a sudden to different degrees. Such as I am flying heading 200, then change on autopilot to 150, my plane will turn to the left and lets say its at 170 turning...all of a sudden, my heading changes to 110 on my gps and indicator on the screen (heading is still 150 plugged on the autopilot). so then my plane turns to the right to match up with 150. my heading just went from 200 to 110 all of a sudden, this keeps happening and my flight pattern has a bunch of turns. great if som…

I mainly use the FriendlyPanels 737NG, but this seems to happen almost every time I land -I always set my autobrake around 2000 ft. MSL and I usually touchdown any a/c at or below 125 FPM -- sometimes around 60 or 70 FPM, if I'm especially on the beam :( . Am I touching down a bit TOO lightly/Did I mess up a line in my FS9.cfg file or something? This problem is getting annoying (but is, by no means devastating1 :-) )As always, thanks for your help!

My rig runs FS9 very well and I'm looking for a list of cfg. settings that I can take advantage of. I tried searching the topics, but the links I found were dead. Greetings all,ive a small problem i cant work out and need some help. I have fs9 installed into vista, it runs well but if i exit the sim and send it to the taskbar it locks up and wont let me go back into the sim and i have to shut my rig down. I just did a fresh reinstall of WinXP w/SP2 as well as FS9. I've never had a problem with it ever freezing and crashing before. The game loads and runs just fine while I'm in the main screen, but when I go to 'Fly Now' it freezes within a minute followed by a BSOD. I had a Radeon X1650 512Mb video card that went bad so I replaced it with my old one; a Radeon 9600XT 256Mb. I know for a fact that FS9 runs just fine with my setup with either cards with good frame rates and with several add-ons like IRISs' F14, Aerialfoundry's F/A-18C, Alphasim's USS Enterprise, and Aerosoft's SH-60B. I'm now scratching my head as to where my issue would be, and any help would be greatly…

Does anyone know how the get the wing view in the VC of any aircraft on fs9 to cast shadow while on the ground and in the VC viewing mode.

Is there a keyboard command or FSUIPC control that will allow me to toggle my aircraft and scenery shadows during flight without having to go to the menu, selecting Options, etc. . . . I would find that very helpful when flying from a sunny airport to a mostly cloudy airport.Thank you.

Hello all,I have a couple of questions regarding FS9,Firstly since the recent switch over to DST, both FS9 and FS Real Time don't co-operate and now airports in the UK (GMT) operate at UTC+1 which isn't right as it should match up GMT and UTC as the same there. Does anyone know anyway to rectify this as it gets confusing on long flights having to add or take-away the hour.Secondly is there any way to get FS9 to not save the flight plans on to your PC so you can just load them for the one flight after which it is automatically deleted?Thank you for your help,Zoran

Back when SP3 came out, I saw my default GPS letters go Italic. There was a thread somewhere that gave a fix for this, but I can't find it now...I know - why now? I dunno, after living with it for a year it started to bug me. Now that I can't find the answer I'm becoming obsessed with it...I got close, folks talking about it, even a link! Hi, I'm going out of my mind here with a problem that I can't seem to get sorted. I've always had problems with fs2004 at night in that the skies were always far too bright which ruined the whole effect. last night i played about with the desktop color settings, setting it at 45% brightness/55% contrast. This sorted the problem perfectly and I had a nice flight with almost pitch black out of the cockpit window other than the stars and road lights. Today I swapped out my nvidia drivers to try and sort a separate problem I'm having with the LD767. This didnt work so I reverted to my original drivers. I've had an issue where I loaded FlyTampa KSEA and put the Seattle aerial photo right after it (as recommended) in FS9 scenery settings (in the menu click boxes) and have ended up with aircraft bouncing and kicking up dust when I taxi off the runway. I reinstalled FS9 for a different reason and reinstalled KSEA early in the process and discovered that the issue was fixed--for at least a while. Since then, I've reloaded many more payware airports etc, and KSEA is just part of a group of 30 or so airports that I leave checked in scenery settings. Hello all,I have noticed that in all of my default simulator aircraft, my carenado 210, and backup engine monitors on my eaglesoft citation x have gone dead. All batteries are turned on master switch and all!!! The radios are still there (when i push the flip flop key it changes the freq) but i cant see anything on them. Also the clocks and all other aspects of the panel (but not the gauges for flight "the six pack") are still alive and working but nothing else? If you have any suggestions i would love to know??thanks for the helpEvan T

Hi, The daytime skies are fine with FS9 but the night skies look very strange, strange colors , they look almost painted, not very realistic at all. Is there anything I can change in my settings to improve this? thanks, Grant

Firstly I would like to apologise for this common topic but i have googled and searched and seem to find no resuslts.I'm flying the flight1 md-80 and I can fly the whole flight correctly with no problems at all until descenr/approach/landing phases where there is always a ctd.It happends at slightly different times e.g landing/ approach or descent and different things trigger it e.g switching views / opening new windows.I have reinstalled on numerous occasions but still cannot find a fix.Anybody with any answers would be very much appreciated.ThanksRichy

Hi there. I have recently upgraded my PC from a P4 3.0Ghz running Windows XP to a new i7 running Vista x64. I run FS9.Lots of people have said FS9 runs beautifully under Vista x64 and so far I've had no problems...The addon sceneries and aircraft have all worked perfectly.....until now!I own the box-CD version of Mega Airport Frankfurt (the original 2005 version) from Aerosoft. This is a genuine CD from them I am not using a hacked / torrented file or anything. Hey folks,I've been looking around and seeing how panels are merged. I always thought it was a standard procedure of copying the panel folder to your new aicrraft, but I see there usually are more steps behind it. Do note I'm talking about merging complex panels with other aircraft, such as a PA Airbus with a Wilco Airbus panel, that kind of stuff. What I want to know, is if anybody can give me the basics of what you do when you merge such a higher quality panel with an airplane that usually has a much more simple panel. Of course, I do want stuff like autopilot, APU and all that stuff to work proparly in that enw airplane. I suppose that it'd also be good to know why som…
