How do I integrate my realityXP WX500 radar into my FS2004 PMDG 747? I did it with the PMDG 737.

Hello everyone. A good friend who flies A320's for BMI was palpably amazed when he saw what FS9 can do and look like with all the wonderful add-on's that are available and I now have installed. The steam rising from Costa Cofee from Gate 20 in Terminal 1 at EGLL ( thanks Gary Summons for such wonderful scenery) seemed to clinch his obession, as he often grabs a quick cup before departing. Now smitten, I have been giving him a helping hand getting his own rig up and runing. He has very kindly offered to give me unlimited help, if I want to fly the Airbus. , so my question is '' What is the best, or to be precise most authentic package freeware/payware for the A320/319/318/…

"Houston, we have a problem"I have gotten good at doing Addons. However some time ago I added something for Rome, I can't remember what and where I placed it. Since then I have added the Lazlo Addon and then an SRTM Mesh. Now Rome looks like this, just flat with next to no Vatican: The problem affects a strip from Italy to Sicily across to Southern Spain. I seem to remember Spain in the default FS was not right, no Airports, flat cities.Apart from a complete deletion and reinstall of FS9, can anyone suggest something?

Hi all, I have just encountered a problem with FS9. Last night I wanted to fly the PMDG 744F so I went to load configurator as I always do to input the load I wanted to fly with, however it came up with a warning saying it could not find a valid version of FS9. This morning I have just downloaded a new scenery and went to install and this time the warning said "cannot find a valid FS9 resigstry entry".I am deducing it may have someting to do with the fact that I installed FSX last week, didn't like the way it ran so deinstalled it. Do you think when it was uninstalled it has deleted some of the FS9 registry files also? Is there a way of reinstalling FS9 over the top o…

Hello,the pmdg737 has a great sound when spoilers get deployed inflight. This sound seems to get controlled by a gauge. There is no entry in the pmdg sound.cfg.Is there a possibility to implement this sound into other aircrafts?Thanks for help

I have seen references to this problem, but did not bookmark them. (That'l never happen to me . . .Ha Ha Ha) I installed my FS9 onto my new computer, and simply copied all the Aircraft, Traffic and Scenery files from my old hard drive on to the new one, in the appropriate locations. Two questions arise: Is the "activated scenery" list printable?and the Traffic showed sparsely at first, (Just American Airlines and Air Canada) but after a re install over the first install, only the Original traffic shows. Can anyone suggest things I have missed??Any help would be appreciated.Marty in Brantford

Is he coolsky Super80 and Super80 Pro for FS2004? Is it only the Maddog MD-80 that is for FS2004?

Just got into Flight Sim this year after after scrimping and saving enough to finally get a PC fast enough to handle it (Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit, 2.5GHz, 4 GB RAM). Really a kick! I went through all the lessons (had a private license back in the 60s), and got into most of the FS9 planes. The one I like the most was the default Lear45.Since I wanted to try something different, I recently downloaded a half dozen freeware models for FS9, and the DSB Northrop F-20 Tigershark turned out to be the one that I really liked. Has anyone had any success trying to use the VRS F-18 panel in a non-VRS F-18? I have a friend who wants to do just that and has had no success. I know that they say it can't be done and not to ask VRS for any help doing it. Thanks, regards, Bob.

Hello AllCan someone tell me why there is no ability in this aircraft to load cargo?When you open the window that allows you to alter fuel and payload weights you can change fuel load but not the payload.The aircraft is balanced okay but cargo weight is always nought. I would like to add cargo.I am funny this way. :( cheers Andy

Can anyone shed any light on whats going wrong here.The aircraft at the gates are half way in the terminal.. unless you get closer to the terminal and then they slowly come out, so when you're at the terminal.. they're parked correctly.I know if the AFCAD is set wrongly, sometimes aircraft appear half in the buildings. But I've never seen a situation where the a/c and building seem to move in/out of each other depending on how far away you are.I've tried to illustrate with pics.Any idea on why this is??

Using the in-game flight planner has me somewhat puzzled in it's logic.Example: flying from KBLV (Scott AFB) to EGUL (Lakenheath AB). The route takes me due North, then WEST for 1,000 miles (so it seemed),then back EAST, over the polar route.It would make more sense to fly North towards Newfoundland, then East towards the U.K.Also, is it possible to change this routing before I depart, or can that be domne once airborne?The acft I am using is FSD C-17, so nothing fancy panel wise.Thanks,irish3

HelloHaving problems with the FMCI have downloaded E-JETS 8 times from the download link i recieved with my conformation e-mail, and to my surprise the FMC still will not load any info. I have run FS2004 without E-JETS with no problems.I have installed E-JETS clean on a clean FS and i still can not get the FMC to work and i still cannot change aircraft without FS CTD stating that KERNEL32.DLL. I have searched different forums about my problems, and i can see i am not alone with this problem, it has also been stated that there is missing a software component (which i presume is included) so the FMC can read the database included in this product. I've recently built a new computer with Vista Basic 64bit as the OS.I've reinstalled FS2004 located on the F drive, set compatibility to windows XP Service pack2 and run as administrator on the short cut properties. When I try to run it I get the following error message box pop up "Access is denied", with the additional information "Error:CreateFile(C:\Users\STEVEC~1\AppData\Local\Temp\~e5d141.t...)This happens with both vanilla and 9.1 patched versions. I've also tried it with UAC off.Anyone had a similar experience or found a work around? Any help greatly appreciated.Thanks, Steve

I would really like to purchase FSDreamTeam's JFK scenery, however something is holding me back. When I tried the demo, I used real world weather and selected to start at the active runway. It would put me on the holding short area of 4R. As I turned onto 4R to takeoff, I got a couple of really bad stutters. Bad enough that it was almost like the sim froze for a split second. After that, it was back to normal and frame rates were in the 25-35 range. When I flew around checking out the airport all was very fluid and then I'd get a couple more stutters in spot view in certain areas. When FSX came out, I of course threw money at it with new hardware, like I've always done with new versions of Flight Simulator. It's always performed reasonably for me, so I never really went back to FS9, and have been mostly content with FSX. Since PMDG (rightfully) seems to be taking their time to get the NGX ready for FSX, I figured I'd revisit FS9 and their 737NG for FS9 which I already have on my HDD.The stock graphics in FS9 are understandably...dated. But I know that many of you have spruced up the sim to bring it (I'm told) to levels near FSX. Maybe that's an overstatement, but certainly it can be enhanced. Hi everyone,I've been a happy user with my FS2004 for some thousand hours, and I suddenly have a problem: a/c gauges besome black.Happened with my PMDG MD11 and B1900.FS is still running but gauges go black every 8 minutes . When it turns mad, I reload the a/c and everything is back up running, then black gauges after 8 minutes etc...Yes It does it EVERY 8 minutes ?!!?I use XP, dual core E6600 2 Gigs of RAM (my config is 2 year old or so without recent modification.)I did not install anything new for ages, except windows updates.Any idea ? It drives me crazy :(

I have airport sceneries from Cloud 9 & Dreamteam, for some reason they worked without the FS9.1 update, I thought maybe another scenery updated it automatically.However the Addon Manager from Dreamteam disappeared a short while ago leaving me without the airports sceneries.I need the update in order to install the Addon Manager however it halts when it needs to process the modules (see the attached photo).My computer crashed a couple of years ago, I installed ths FS2004 directly into a second hard drive (D).So I have not altered it in any way as I can think of.I like to mention that the first time I ran de update from outside the FS2004 ut got the same problem as la…

Does the Level D 767 have a rear strobe light? When I was flying it just wasnt flashing! I turned everything else on and all other lights were on, but the rear strob eat the rear tip of the plane didn't for some reason? What do I press? Can you help, or have I just missed a button to turn it on? If there's a different light button to turn on this light what one is it?Thanks.

When I do an APP for an ILS landing, the plane behaves way differently. When it catches the glideslop the throttles start moving forward and backwards trying to keep the speed the same, this infact then keeps making the plane bob up and down to try and keep the altitude.I know there have been many other posts for this, but does anyone else know how to make a better merge that lets the APP and ILS easier?
