Any effect, or crash effects, that lets us crash land in water and break up, but not display the "crash" thing at the top, anything that lets us do this, already got crash settings off but can we by any chance get something that lets us ditch the plane in water?

Hi All, Having recently bought and installed Aerosoft's add-on for the Balearic Islands I noticed that scattered around the perimeter of the Island there appears an extra chain of smaller islands as the screen shot clearly shows. Come to think of it I don't think this is the only area that casues this strange effect. There is obviously some sort of conflict with the various add-ons I have installed. Adding the Baleric Islands to the top of my scenery libray, I thought this would do the trick but obviously not. I have GEPro, Ultimate Terrain Europe and FS Global 2008. Any ideas please how I can put this right ? Many thanks. Tristan.

Anyway this is some info some of my retired NWA pals sent me regarding the MD-11 landing incidents the most recent at Narita in Japan involving a FedEx MD-11. These opinions do not reflect adversely on PMDG's excellent MD-11 rendition of which I am a proud owner. Hi,I thought Microsoft fixed the problem with Autogen. I tried running a 9 1/2 hour flight (Real Time) from SBGL (Tropicalsim) to KATL (Simth's Designs) using Level-D's 767, with Autogen on I get a CTD on final approach into KATL. This happens every flight.1. I spent a week testing in real time, with Autogen the flight ends during the approach with a crash to desktop or FS Freezes, this happened every flight.2. With Autogen renamed to .BAK the flight continues into KATL without a problem.The system has plenty of hard drive space (100 Gig) as well as ram (4 Gig). Windows XP Pro's memory is managed by the system. I do not have anything running in the background and I turned…

Many years ago, pretty much the first add-on I bought was the full set of UK VFR scenery.Since then I've got loads more sceneries and add-ons.Was flying over the UK the other day and noticed the VFR scenery isn't showing anymore. It's still installed and active in the scenery library.. but the UK ground seems to be back to the default.Any suggestions on a likely culprit or easy fix? I don't fancy a fresh reinstall.The last add-ons I've got are Aerosofts Heathrow X, AES and Ground Environment Pro.

Ive had Ground Environment for a few years now and I have always wondered if it'd be worth the extra $$$ to upgrade to GE PRO. What's the concensus here?

Every time I hear about certain add-ons, I always get the same feeling. I always think to myself "what's the fuss about?" when it comes to the following - PMDG 747FlyTampa St MaartenLevel-D 767Digital Aviation DO-27Anything by Carenado... But funniley enough, I've tried out all of them. And I've seen what the fuss is about, first hand!-The PMDG 747 is phenomenal in every way. It feels so perfect, and looks so brilliant. I'm yet to see such attention to detail in an airliner package.-This FlyTampa scenery is just unbelievable. The one I have does not include some minor bugs fixed and I find it weird to run VC without taxi and landing lights :)Can anyone help me locate this free update on the Internet? I have WOAI and AI AArdvark and I was curious, what happened to Jant Virtual? Also, is there a place where I can get a COMPLETE Janet package with the 737-200's, flight plans, and textures all at once?? If someone could help me out here I would really apprieciate it. I am using the saitek Pro Flight yoke with the extra three throttles. I also have them configured via FSUIPCWhe using the throttles in max power, engine number one closes in the sim after around ten seconds. It jumps back with movement of the lever.This doesen't happen at all in FSX.Anyone got any idea's of help please?

I have a strange problem that I need help to solve.When starting FS9 it crashes after 10-20 seconds (in the start cycle) and I have to restart.A white/gray sign says that "FS9 has encountered a problem and needs to close"After usually a 3rd start attempt it starts normally.I have tried the old trick of deleting FS9.cfg as well as the flights, but that does not help.Best,Bjorn

Are there any freeware aircraft out there with moderately complex systems? I've tried the FSDzigns Constellation and the nice DC-3C airfile by an author who I cannot remember right now. Props would be great because I don't fly many jets but any aircraft with accurately modeled systems would be nice even if the visual model isn't very good. Thanks for the help!

Is there anyway to change how the rain effect (and snow for that matter) works?It just falls straight down until you get up to well above 100 knots, then it starts coming at you.I'd like that to happen at a much lower airspeed.

Having upgraded to FSX shortly after launch, I've since neglected FS9 but recently thought that I should return to it if only to get some use out of the numerous costly add-ons I acquired over the years and also to utilise the many tasty aircraft available for download in the Avsim library! (Many of these aircraft are not available for FSX). So I did a complete re-install, including FS9 update, and am horrified to note that although the aircraft, distant scenery and all autogen objects display clearly, the base land textures and especially roads, rivers etc are very blurred and the roadways and river courses are badly pixellated - see attached screenshot, taken shortly…

I've been using Ken Mitchell panels now for quite a while (A320, A340, B727, B737) and I rate them by and large to be the best for simplicity, looks, and quality. Recently I took a short trip in the iFDG A320 with the Ken Mitchell panel and I noticed a few very strange things.1) If I select full flaps when descending on the glideslope (ILS approach), the aircraft goes into what seems to be TOGA mode and starts climbing like a bat out of hell! If I drop flaps back to setting 3 then I am fine, it settles back down on the glideslope. I am sure I am not too slow because the last time I tried it I was descending with a speed of 160 KIAS. Hello. I'm hoping someone might be able to give me a clue as to something strange that is going on.When I open the AFCAD program and then open an airport that there is no additional AFCAD file for I am seeing "MOD" for the type instead of "STOCK". If I also open an airport that does have an additional AFCAD I see two listings (normal) but both say "MOD" for the type instead of one saying "MOD" and one saying "STOCK".Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?Thanks!

Alex, I'd like to give a SPECIAL thanks to you for all of the help, ideas and modivation to get into the 3 monitor Flight Sim Mode. My latest and almost last problem was the flashing -flickering view on my RIGHT hand monitor. I had found, by "trail and error" that the 3 differant views on the 3 monitors could nor should NOT overlap, or better yet, NOT EVEN TOUCH each other. I did NOT know or discover that also the LEFT and RIGHT views should not overlap or touch the BOTTOM of the monitors either. I moved the RIGHT and LEFT views about 1/8 inch AWAY from the CENTER monitor and also moved both of those views about 1/8 inch UP from the BOTTOM of the monitors. This seemed to …

Hi all,I hope somebody can help me out cause I'm getting the creeps of this ...The problem is the following. I start FS, create a flight bla bla bla and when the flight is loaded I get a nice 21.8 out of 22 FPS.I start the plane, do pushback etc and all of the sudden I see my frames at 4,5 after they droped from 22 to 15 to 12 to 8 then 4 and finally even reaches 1. When I check in taskmanager I see my CPU is being used 100% and after a check with the processes I can confirm that FS is using around 50%, non active systems are at 40% but then drop to 20 or even lower. There is no other process that eats the CPU, even not after checking show processes of all users ... As so…
