Hello Everyone, I have been using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 with the same computer I have for six years now. All those years, I have never encountered any problems until now. The problem is related to texture loading on aircrafts and scenery. I am requesting for any solutions to resolve this problem. Here are my explanations of the problems below: Every time when I open the GPS map, the aircraft texture vanished. Then it will show up again within 10 to 20 seconds. When I open the World Map and do the zoom out view the Earth with Continent, but it didn't show up until 30 seconds to 1 minute. When I press "S" to view the aircraft, the texture won't show up wit…

Hi all,Just wanted to post something really cool that I found in youtube. Hi, I have a problem with getting Anti-Aliasing to work properly in Full Screen. I use nHancer to control the settings. Weird thing is Multisampling works fine but using the Combined setting of 4xS in Full Screen mode which I need to get rid of the shimmering looks really bad, like everything is a Wire Frame with shimmering colors. It's kind of hard to explain. Pressing ALT gets rid of the effect though. I took a screenshot of how it looks to post here but when I paste it in Paint it looks perfectly fine. Another thing is it works fine in Windowed Mode. I'm using a 6800 Ultra with the XTreme-G 182.06 drivers and latest version of nhancer. Anybody know what could be wrong …

Just installed FS9 in a friends pc and the installation ran OK but when I go to "Create a Flight" there is no shot of any selected aircraft and if I click on "Fly Now" I get a Back screen after the loading has completed. The PC is running OK on everything else but Ic cannot fathomn why I have this Blackout with FS9I would appreciate any adviceThanksraffer

Looks like its some bug cause i had that on several computers.. When i try to start fsnavigator in multiplayer session (in my case, ivao) my fs2004 crashes and wants to restart itself. earlier i had vatsim and it worked so i think its cause of ivao.. does someone know that problem and how to fix it?

Hi Folks:Has anyone ever resolved the plateau effect(s) around the KLAS airport? Flying towards runways 25L/R is like flying towards Sedona (KSEZ). :( I think this problem has been around a long time and was wondering whether anyone ever developed flatten files that provided a fix. I am also thinking of getting the FSdreamteam scenery to replace my SimFlyers scenery.Thanks!Airbus

Hello,I have just installed new mesh from FS Genesis, especially 76m for Canada and the U.S. and the 38m mesh for the West Coast.If I am starting a flight from Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles or Anchorage, the flight loads to about 18-20% and then results in a crash to desktop. I thought it had to do with the FSG mesh and I was able to solve the problem by uninstalling the Northern Canada, U.S and West Coast Mesh.I have got no problems with other mesh files I am using. Europe and Africa airports just load fine.Just for fun I have tried to install a freeware mesh for Los Angeles and again I am receiving a CTD when attempting to start a flight in Los Angeles. RUNNING fs9 ..my system is used exclusively for fs9 ..i do nothing else with it..if i DONT check the box that says empty cache will help in slightly more FPSand preformance ..or does it just take up harddrive space and do nothing ..????

Simple question. Most payware aircraft i have (esp all carenado planes) tints the VC windows the cockpit. Is there anyway to change it so that there is less or no tint?

Hello everyone! I have been flygin with VATSIM since last year. It's really fun but now it became boring. actually, I'm stuck in the UK. There is no ATC srvice in other countries. (well most of the time) for example, I wanna fly to Paris, Zurich, Athens, Istanbul. but no ATC... now wondering is IVAO better than VATSIM? which one is more crowded? which one is more fun? thanx

Hello, I'm a new member on this forum, but have been using Avsim for over 6 years. Just want to start with a Thank You.However my simming experience has been tarnished lately with a really annoying habit my PC has gotten into. When I am flying along at high speed with sim rate at 2x or above(most of the time, since I mainly fly heavies), FS doesn't load the scenery as I fly over it, the textures fail to load when I switch to exterior views, and the ATC idiots fall asleep (fail to hand me off etc). My computer is not what you'd call powerful (1Gb RAM, P4 3.2, ge4000 128Mb) but has usually been able to cope, and I still get over 15fps usually. Also it gets worse if I watch …

Hello! Some odd thing happened to me today.I was taxing in (sazs airport mod) when suddenly I crashed with an invisible building. I looked around and the nearest building was more than 500 feet from the place.How can I see if theres an object, invisible to my eye, and how can I fix these awesome problem. Yes, I'm building or buying a new computer for FS9 (and maybe parttime FSX) and sort of getting choked up on my old reliable P4 3.2. She's been part of my family for 5 years. The best $400 I ever spent; I wish I could have broken that down into hours on FS and the enjoyment it has provided. She just runs and runs and runs without complaining or BSOD's or OOM's etc. I know I got to upgrade but gee its hard to get rid of old reliable and hope the new runs just as stable (which I know it probably wont for the first year or two).If this topic is out of place I deeply apologize but this community may understand because my wife just laughs at me and I needed to tell someb…

This problem first started about a month ago, prior to this I have had no errors and was able to fly with FS9 maxed out giving and 30-40 fps. My mounts were usually quite complex LDS 763, F1 ATR, DA Fokker etc and, if flying offline, traffic at 100%Twice I have planned Gatwick to Cancun with the LDS 767, and on both occasions I have had a total pc crash with around 1-2 hours flying time left!The first was with around 120 miles out of CUN starting the descent from 380, the second stepclimbing to 380 over Florida.I know there can be many causes, such as scenery conflicts or system overheats, even imminent hard drive failures, God forbid. Alex, I tried to locate the "panel confg" that contains the line, "VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT(left)_EYE= x,y,z". I couldn't find it. I looked in the differant panel folders for the differant models of the Aeroworx B-200 King Air and found the panel config for each version, but that line was not there. Please give me more instructions to locate ther reqiured line to modify the wing views. Thanks jerrycwo4

I've just got the USS Billy Mitchell carrier & a beautiful F-14 Tomcat (Dino Cattaneo's ?) & I want to add arrester/catapult capabilities. A read-me from the Billy Mitchell (BM) told me to get RCBCO-20 & to follow the instructions in that to the letter & "22. Use carrier zones if you have RCBCO-20 installed correctly on aircraft. TRAP CABLES ACTIVE when RCBCO-20 is installed on aircraft. 23. Ensure that it is REVISION -20. " Problem: RCBCO-20 has no instructions. It does have 5 folders. While trying to fix a problem with the wing views of my B-22 Super King Air, at the very bottom of the panel.cfg file is the following:[default view]x=0y=0size_x = 8191size_y = 4000Can anyone tell me what does this last section of the panel.cfg pertain to or control?
