I added a Garmin 500 GPS gauge to my new King Air 200 but I'm tired of seeing all of those "airspace messages" !. Is there a way to stop these message from show up in my Garmin 500 GPS? Thanks jerrycwo4

I know with XP 64 bit you had to enter /3GB switch so that windows would access more RAM while using FS9, does vista 64-bit require a similar modification while running FS9? I have researched on this and other forums some questions I have around the Wilco Airbus series. Still I have some questions.The situation is that I have been using the PSS Airbus panels since they came out. For shorthaul, I merged PSS + iFDG planes; for longhaul I merged PSS + POSKY planes (A330-A340). For the A340-500 and -600, I merged the PSS panel with CLS plane, but neither was that realistic (wrong cockpit, wrong values in FMCG), nor did they fly very well.So I researched about possibilities to upgrade my Airbus flying. Hey everyone,I'm new to the fourms here but have been a simmer for 7 years. I just have a quick question about computers. I have been using an old computer for my simming years (fs9) and now have the funds to buy a new computer for FSX and what have you. Just wondering what the best cpu's, video boards, etc that would run FSX with all the great addons and say hypothetically it doesn't matter how much it costs (without getting totally insane tho lol).Thanks guys, much appreciatedJames

I was wondering if anybody has got this error before "Faield to read from file" ?and what it means, as I now get it on every flight. I am almost at rope's ends (after trying a myriad of things, and with no clear reason why it happens. It seems to me it has to do with storage capacity, but it is not clear of what, as it not exclusive to scenery or aircraft textures, many thing seem to trrigger it. A full discussion of all the things I've looked at is too long, but was hoping somebody might give a light on what may be causing this and how I may hope to fix this. Recently, I have been having a problem with AISmooth crashing. I'm also running F.S. AI Separation and Radar Contact. I close the error notification box, try and restart AISmooth, and it immediately crashes again. The only major change I've made lately is adding AI Separation. I've tried starting FS9 with only AISmooth, and nothing has changed. I'll attach the error log if anyone cares to take a look.Thanks in advance!

FS9 goes to black screen in middle of flight and this is the error message I'm getting. Anybody know what might be causing it. Happens on a flight from KBOS to KJFK always at the same point?

Hi everyone. I am new to the forums and I'm glad to join you there.I have a problem with my ai traffic : I am spotting in Paris Orly the ai traffic and I can see ai aircrafts disappearing after landing. They reduce their speed and disappear. However not all aircraft disappear : for example evai A319 do not while AIA 737 do. I have more than enough gates in the afcad files I use so I wonder how to explain that.Thank you for sheding some light on this issue.Matthieu

When reinstalling FS9 planes on my new system I noted this info regarding the dreamfleet Baron 58.It's stated that it is designed for Win XP and will not work on another OS.Does this mean I can't use it on my system running Win 7 or that other people using Vista can't use it?Or do they mean no OS earlier than Win XP?If not what more planes can't be used in Win 7 or Vista?

Hi, I am rather new to FS9 and when installing ticked the box to load Static Aircraft. Is there any way to remove the static Aircraft without a complete re-install as I have also loaded many VFR Photographic Scenery and British Airports discs?Thanks

Now that I'm on a WideFS soap box, I was looking for a WX Radar that can use Active Sky Advanced on the Client PC. I'd like to have the radar readily accessible on the client PC :( . Any options out there? I came across FSFlightMax but see it's not compatible with ASA. Any ideas guys?

Anyone know WHY a/i aircraft enteries randomly disappear? As many as half of the [x]'s have simply 'poofed' when I return, sometimes months/years later to add an a/c. Not only that(!) but sometimes an ENTIRE aircraft folder with dozens of enteries ...GONE. Texture folders and model and [.air] remain!I can only imagine that you's'all's can feel the aggrevation (arrrghh) when that happens!It's usually with Project AI aircraft folders that 'poof'', however I have opened some others (ie: Fruit Stand) when individual [x] entries have vanished... as in...gone...nadda...see ya...hasta la vista!I have been doing this FS stuff for over a decade so I 'do' know to 'save' when closin…

Hei friends,I've got the following problem with the good old PSS757 in FS2004:I do the normal start-up from a cold and dark cockpit and until i have all powers set, that means: APU is running, engings are running or External Power is definitly connected!The Problem is that i can swith the normal FS-ATC-window-frequencies, but i cannot "say" anything, and cannot "hear" anything (that will say: i cannot "read" anything). It seems to be only a problem in PSS757, because i tested it with PMGD Boing as well as the FS Cessna etc.Anyone who has an idea for this! I'm curious about this since I can get it together with My Traffic X. How does it compare to PAI which I have used before. My impression from the screenshoots is that there is more aircraft at the airports compared to what U have in PAI. But maybe that's only true in FSX?

I am a long time user of fs9 and am currently on a new machine. I have a quad core amd 64 computer. I just want to achieve 20 fps if possible. I seem to only get 8-10 not sure why? I have read about closing processes and things running in the background but I'm still a little new about what I can close and what I can't. Any help on this subject would be great. I know its been covered all over the forums, but I just want a few tips if possible. I see some ovf the frames others are getting with similar setups as mine and it makes me sick. Anyone out there know how to make the ImagineSim animated jetways work with the Level-D 763 in FS9? I know you are supposed to tune your VOR2 radio to 111.0, but doing that does nothing.Anyone smarter than I am about this topic. I normally do not like to fly with too many clouds but I wanted to for dome variation in screenshots.I have seen this weird blue cloud thing before but have not been bothered until now:You will see in the highlighted area is where they look most blue, but the others also look blue, especially noticeable when flying above and overcast layer (less noticeable beneath clouds, strangely). :( The only ad-dons I have now are Real Environment Professional and Airport Environme…

I've been relaxing at my home in Sydney for the last couple of weeks, (thinking about may be moving home to L.A. for the Aussie winter), while waiting for my next development assignment. I've been a little bit bored and decided to see how many Freeware/Payware addons I can stuff into FS9. I'm at around 1200, (give or take a few), and was wondering if that is totally insane or what? Flight Simulator takes about 5 minutes to load because I've installed so many AI packages. Radio reports of a major forest fire in the British Columbia Carpenter Lake area, spurred me today, to renew acquaintances with an area where I fished and hunted some 35 years ago. So in a low/slow flight I cruised from Lillooet (Car3) to Pemberton (CYPS). Approaching Carpenter Lake/ Tyaughton area I was amazed to see visibility drop to about 10 miles with what sure looked like smoke haze.
