Mind boggler perhaps :( I can no longer exit FS9 by using the ESC key on the keyboard.I have to exit from the pull down menu, after hitting ALT.I was cleaning up some weird files two days ago and perhaps I dumpedsomethng that controls the shut-down?Any suggestions would be appreciated please.... irish3

Hey, I have the Hornet effects package...you can get from flightsim.com etc, but there are no wing tip vortices only a wake on high g's.Any ideas? What I am looking for is the most popular set of FS9 FREEWARE ground texture enhancements. Not Airport Environment Upgrade or Real Environment Pro, but actual land class textures for FS9. Several years ago I downloaded a set of textures from AVSIM (I think) that completely replaced my default textures for all types of terrain. I can't for the life of me remember what set this was nor can I find them anywhere else on the net since the library is still down.I am working on a scenery project and need to know what the most widely used set of freeware textures is so that I can make a custom texture to blend in with the environment surrounding the scenery that I am working o…

Hello,i have the following problem. On most of my airports (standard scenery) i am missing some ground textures. Here is an example. Here in Hong Kong (VHHH) i am only using GE2006 and a mesh from FS Genesis. Is it possible that i deleted some textures? Does anybody know this error? I don't know since when the textures are missing because i normally fly on addon-airports. Thanks for your help,Christian

Ive searched for a good klax but have only come up on cloud 9 which Im not even sure if its for fs2004. It also states that it is xp compatible only. So if any of you have others let me know.Thanks

Hi all, I have this panel working correctly but I have one question. I can see the strobe and beacon light on all the MD 80 aircraft when viewing the wings but when I use it for the DC 9 all that appear are the landing lights. Is there an option in the Aircraft config file I can fix this with so I can see? Also when using the Jim Waters 757/767 panel I can only get the wing lights to work on the 767 but all the views are correct for both 757/767 aircraft. Thanks for any help.....JT

Hi,I was browsing through the Microsoft FS9 SDK and noticed that there are tags in the voicepack for speed calls on approach, wake turbulence on takeoff, and no delay calls when entering the runway.I was wondering if anyone has played around with these to see if they are at all useable?On another front, I also used editvoicepack to: remove the ATC 'expedite climb to' calls so i can climb to SID altitudes without ATC nagging me remove the traffic calls, so atc doesn't nag you about some AI taking off at your six o'clock remove the ATC 'expedite turn to' calls, so that i can follow my own SID (ATC will still give you a heading, but I ignore it) change the cleared to takeof…

Oh Dear guys....it's not going well.Hello people. This is the situation.I had and still have FS2004 on my computer. It used to be on my old computer with Windows XP. However, that computer got 'damaged'. I brought a new one with Vista.The old computer was non responsive and I couldnt transfer any files across. I thought - 'Right, I'll install FS and all my addons from fresh as if Ive just brought it'. What a bad Idea. FS works fine and thanks to the higher spec computer (190GB on the C drive instead of 27GB on my old one) I am getting on fine. Well sort of. No Ai is installing. World of Ai wont install and neither will project Ai. I tried it with administrator privaledges…

Looking at the screenshots, the Quality Wings 757 looks a lot like the Level-D 767. Of course, they share a common panel and the real world aircraft shares the same type rating; but is quality wings in any way closely or loosely affiliated with the guys over at Level-D Sim?

Hello everyone :( ,Em i was wondering if anyone else had this issue. Fspassenger seems to think concorde has flaps and @ 350kias (when i'm accelerating to mach 1), the copilot says we've passed the max flap speed and the flaps are damaged. Hmm now i thought it would be a simple case of going to the aircraft.cfg and changing the 'damage' and 'blowout' speeds of the flaps i saw there(i think it's what codes for the visor and nose droop). But even when i set them to 2000kias( :( i had no other choice), it still says they are damaged beyond 350kias. I've spent the past 2 days poring through every detail on the aircraft.cfg and the .air file for anything that would alleviate t…

I have a problem with REP in Windows 7. The install backup button and close mark does not work. When starting the program I see the REP window inside a bigger white window so it seems to be a problem with the GUI. In Win XP it works fine. It didn't help to run it in Win XP compatibilty mode.

Hey all,I have FS 9.1 and when ever I click Nav log, fs crashes. Its doesn't matter if its in flight or at the main menu. Is there a patch?

Please could someone tell me how to improve my FS9 CFG and get better frame rate or smother.My PC

I recall that there was a method of uninstalling AI aircraft outside the usual folder, so that they won't slow down the initial loading of FS9. It is a significant slowdown, as currently if I move all AI out of the folder and start, it takes more like seconds than minutes.Can anyone remember what it was and point me to it?-kyle

I've installed KDFW and KPHX from FRF. When I go to the airports in FS I can see the underlying terrain mesh is showing through the airport scenery, and the autogen buildings and trees are also showing up over the airport. I have FS Genesis mesh installed, as well as Ultimate Terrain. I have installed the airport sceneries as per the instructions, i.e. within their own folder and activated within the FS Scenery options.I initially thought it was a problem with the scenery layers order, but I have them in the correct order - from lowest to highest - FS Genesis Mesh, UT, airport sceneries. It's almost as if there is an exclude or flatten file missing from the sceneries. How…

I have this problem when I start Fs9, All of the planes are just plain white and have no paint on them and even the 3d cockpit is all white and even the addon on airplanes have no paintjob on them. I have tried reinstalling the game but that didnt fix the problem, this game was installed previously on the same computer and worked fine. Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be? How do I delete the static planes found at Flight Ontario's Downsview scenery? The instructios mention how to remove the static planes at Toronto City Centre, but don't mention Downsview.Also does anyone know what happened to the Flight Ontarion website? It would be nice to see some nice paywares of the following airports.STL......SLC....RNO.....STL....LIT.....SMF.....GEG......CHS......CRW.......BGR.......PWM.......BDL.........BTV........PANC.....BUF.....ALB...And perhaps a better frame rate DEN....the Imaginesim package eats up my system like a kid and ice cream in the summer.Can you think of more.
