I just recieved fs2004 in the mail today. I noticed I couldnt use my controller like I could in fsx. Ive tried setting key assignments but to no avail. Also thier are not as many view options

I have 2 Russian sceneries that I downloaded from avsim.ru and I need some help with them.They are Vnukovo (UUWW) and Norilsk Alykel (UOOO) - Both sceneries are missing light pole textures. The UUWW scenery did not come with any instructions and the UOOO scenery only had the instructions in Russian. Does anyone know if I need to download something to get those textures?The file names for the scenery I am asking about on avsim.ru are,Vnukovo_2006_v2.8.zip13284_UOOObeta2.zip

HiI have a problems with blurry textures but not on all parts.For example I'm flying from EDDF to LDZA.At takeoff and almost whole time in cruise my textures are let say sharp god enough, if not sharp they will be sharp because texture will load quick enough)But at the border Austria-Slovenia (Alps), my textures stayed blurry. They don't refresh as I fly.Only cure is to refresh scenery (I assign TAB for this) and after that everything is cleared.What can cause that problem and how to solve this without refreshing the scenery??I'm using FSQ Austria, UT Europe, FSQ Slo&Cro, GAP1,2,3,4, ASV6Picture in attachmentMy fs9.cfg (same behaviour with TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=400, …

HelloThis might sound a bit silly but what parks at which gate?Gates heavy speaks for itself,but what about small medium and large.I have never really thought about this i just assume that for instance if i am using the Airbus 320,737-300-400-500 etc i would use a medium gate.But what about a small gate would that be used by something like a Fokker 70-100,ERJs 130140 etc or would they also be at a medium gate?Would small gates be for genuine small fry Cessna 172 182.I would be pleased if someone could tell me.cheers Andy

While trying to setup my new Go Flight Hardware I messed up my Saitek Hatswitch panning and/or views and I can NOT figgure out how to fix it. Too many view values controled by one switch. I know ( or think) that when you assign a certain view to the hatswitch that it must put a "value" somewhere? Airfile, Main FS2004 file etc??? I was flying with three monitors but with the messed up hatswitch I can NOT get the views to line up correctly. I've tried for three days to fix it and I cannt ! Would someone PLEASE tell me how to resetup my hatswitch views on my Saitek Yoke for FS2004? Thanks jerrycwo4

Hello all, I know this subject is brought up again and again from time to time. I have searched, gurued, and tried various forms of problem solving on my own, with little effect. To start, this problem only happened a few weeks ago when I accidentally deleted my saved default flight. That flight had the time problem resolved. Now, I can resolve it only for a short period of time. For example we all know that in the EST it is currently UTC -4. FS9 and FSX are under the impression it is still UTC -5 for the Eastern time zone. Here is what I have tried doing. 1. Delete FS9.cfg and the Default flight. Does this mean I am unable to add Nick Needham's touchdown effect or Edward Cox's reverser spray?.I left a message on their forum as well. Hello I recently downloaded the latest version of Adobe PDF viewer.When i open any aircraft folder the Air file has been turned into an Adobe installer program for there Air thingy which comes with there latest version.I don't know what Adobe air is but all I want is the ability to read PDFs as and when required, I don't really need any flashy flunkiness type things.This a niggle as a opposed to a real problem as it doesn't seem to affect FS9 running. Is there anywhere i can get earlier versions of Adobe reader or perhaps some other(freeware of course :( )PDF reader?Can I somehow reinstate my air files so they look like Notepad files.WHOOPS! there not Notepad files.Anyway…

Gentlemen: I am beggining to try this new simulator from PMDG. In relation to the FMC, I am getting a message when I first try to type in my departure airport that says "Not in Database". Probably this a minor issue with a very easy solution wich I have not found yet ; not even in the manual that comes with the simulator.Can anyone tell me how to correct this issue?Help is greatly appreciated.C-L. Hi all. I've done multiple searches, but cannot find the answer to my question. Forgive me as I know the question had to have been asked before.I was flying an RNAV approach using third party RealityXP GNS 430 when it vectored me to a fix that was not part of the currently published real-world procedure. Apparently the real-world procedure have been re-written using new fixes. I opened up the stock FS9 GPS to see if the new fix was depicted, but as suspected the new fix did not show up at all.I know I need some sort of update so that the GNS430 displays and utilizes the new fixes, but what about FS9? Hello All: As a Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 user, I have discovered that the Irish Flight Sim Design (IFSD) Group Project Team has ceased operations. I'm sure that at least some of you out there were perhaps familiar with it. Hi all,Sorry for the delay, but the 737 FDE for Overland was a 8itch to get right. Anyway, the 737-700 FDE update has been uploaded to AVISM. The -800 and -900 updates will be forthcoming.Also, I was wondering if there is interest in the Overland 767 FDE being updated. I fly the LDS 767, so I haven't even looked at Overland's model, but if there is interest, I'll give it a whirl. I noticed that ny FS9 Effects Folder has both FX_*** files and a bunch of BMP...files. Shouldn't the BMP files be located in the texture folder? System run okay, am just wonderingif perhaps I have some clones in both folders.Cheers,irish3

Evening everyone,I did it. I installed Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit. Afterwards I also installed Fs-9 and Fs-X.The switch was made to get rid of the OOM's I was having, even with the 3GB-switch in place.Now I have one (probably stupid) question.Do I need to change anything to to the executables of Fs9 or FsX to use the upper memory adresses (like I had to to tell Fs9 to use the 3GB-switch) or does the operating system does that automatically for me?ThanksLuc BrusselmansBelgium

Hello,This is "flickers on black" (a very short lost of the image). This does NOT occur while playing, but only in circumstances like these one:- If I load a Flight, during all the loading time, I see some burst of flickers on the FS splash sceen image.- If, when playing, I press "Alt" key, to get menu bar, I see a burst of flickers.- If I press "Esc" while playing, immediately a burst of flickers. Hi all, My problem is that after a fresh reinstall of Windows XP ProfessionalFS9 & Patch, FSUIPC, Voz 1.8 & Voz A1 1.2 installed exactly as per the manual on a separate partition with over 1/3 free space & defragmented with O&O defrag, when I start up FS2004 with the SIAI Marchetti SF 260 a/c allready running the prop becomes a spinning grey square for several seconds before loading as normal. Also the buildings and A1 a/c are greyed out before they eventualy load and then everything runs pretty normal. If I shut down FS9 and restart the problem with the prop doesn't happen but the buildings and a/c still take some time to fill in with colour …

Hi, i just installed fs2004 on my 64bit vista, Installation went fine, i followed everyones steps to have fs9 working good enough on vista.However when i start the flight, and open the GPS, the centre display ( map ) on the GPS has black flickering lines going through it, to describe it best it looks like your holding a video camera to a old tv with the black flickering lines there, Could someone please help me cure this.
