Hello all:I'm a dedicated FS9 user and had tweaked my visuals several years ago to a level that left me very satisfied. I'm using UT, FE, GEPro, 38 mesh, BEV, AEU7 and a host of add-on third party airports (from ImagineSim; Fly Tampa, etc). I'm running all of this on 3 21" monitors using TripleHead2Go and running a 4th (17" monitor) for ATC and GPS and using TrackerIR, and LOTS of GoFlight modules. Yes, I've been a serious simulator user for over 20 years. Without getting into the nitty gritty concerning my processor, RAM, video card, etc. I have my FPS locked at 30 and with the most complex aircraft, most complex airport and in moderately detailed weather/clouds …

HiWhat I should expect regarding framerate and REX.I have mid range PC and with GE PRO, ASV (real weather) I have usually around 30FPS (locked) on big airports (paywares).Will I have decrease in performance with REX.My config:Intel Core 2 Duo E67754GB DDR2ATI 2900 XT 1GB DDR3RAID 0 640GBThanks in advanceEdin

A few post ago there was a conversation about PMDG's future plans concerning FS9 and FSX. The MD11 came up quite a bit as to it's viability in FS9 compared to other requested aircraft. Many of us stated that it was a long hauler and not in real use anymore in the real world. It's choice was odd and therefore was part of the reason it didn't sell well in FS9. My current beliefs on that is a totally different subject but I will say this, we have a few among us that are buying FS products and giving their products/keys away for free. These people need to be found and prosecuted. I implore all add-on developers to get away from the one serial number fits all concept. …

Hey guys,Im looking for some good freeware NZ mesh for fs2004. I want to do a bit of flying down in Queenstown and the default stuff isnt cutting it. The "other site" doesnt have anything and all of the avsim links are broken to the meshes in question. Could anyone email me a good freeware mesh or provide me with a link? Thanks again,Reed

I run REX for FSX and have been using the freeware version of Real Environment for FS9 for about 6 months. Besides the organic weather engine/options in REX, what's the difference between the two (freeware RE and REX 2004)? ThanksRich Perry

Hi,I have never purchased from FSDT yet.FSDT scenery KORD , does it include all the new runways 10/28, 9L/27R?Does it come with the AFCAD .. in other words ready to fly!If an airport gets updated (new runway e.g.) is it normally a customer repurchase or pay an upgrade fee or free upgrade from FSDT?

Let me know if there is.I have just puchased E-Jets V1.6 And on installation I get the following.Aircraft/feelThere PIC E170/sound/reverser-a.wav: This file contains invalid data. (error 21FC)You will have to run this utility again to completely install E-Jets Series (FS2004).I tried several time with same results. Runing Vista sp2 64 with fs9Can anybody help. Doing investigation into Airports/Lakes 'Plateau' problems on my FS9.On the FS9 install disk3 MSGAME8.CAB.I'm looking at the EURW folder for Europe and the BGL's start with AB,AP,FL,HL,HP,RD,RR,ST,UT.Anyone know what significance the letters are in relation to the scenery?Thanks,

Hi all wind lovers/wind haters,Apologies if a similar post can be found elsewhere but I searched for one to no avail.Today I was flying at FL380 in the default Learjet when I encountered the erratic and sudden, and in my case, fatal wind changes. Can this be solved in FSUPIC entirely and will it mean I WON'T face 'overspeed' and 'AIRCRAFT OVERSTRESSED!' warnings?Secondly, I notice a lot that wind socks appear to be defying physics, and on various Airbuses, the arrow appears to be pointing the right, (or wrong) way. I was always told that the wind always blows FROM the given direction, is this really so in FS9? Whenever I'm on the ground, I seem to get blown in the opposit…

Greeting all, just compleated a flight EGKK-LGSA and i thought to myself who needs fsx when here i am with all my addons, a respective rig and a sim that never fails to to dissapoint. I kmow im blabing on but i tried and tried with fsx and always stumbled across some kinda problem that just got me back to flying fs9 and i will carry on as long as developers keep producing and we keep buying.Ive got my fs9 looking superb(in my eyes) watching various videos by other simmers for example edetroit http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=edetroit and realised that you can get fs9 as good as fsx in looks and better in fps but these are just my views, anyway what do you think …

Hi All.Note:I choose this forum because Wilco/Feelther is not present here and their forum is not very active.I recently purchased the Airbuses Ser 1 and 2 from Wilco/Feelthere. I soon found out that their FMC database 'ND.MDB' is quit limited. For exemple there is no stars or sids for any airport in Canada.Contrary to PMDG, whose database is in text format, feelthere uses the Microsoft Database format MDB.They do provide a utility called FTND.exe wich is DOS base, but they do not provide any instructions or tutorial or support. I finaly managed to get a utility called XES that provides us with a Window Interface and interact with FTND to modify the ND.MDB file. By the wa…

I am sure the solution to this is out there because this is an old problem.On certain aircraft when one presses the slew button and returns to normal flight afterwards the aircraft shoots off into the wild blue yonder at approx. 250kias! The effect is of inadvertantly starting the engines and pushing the throttle forward.Any solution to this?ThanksShez

Hey guys,I am just wondering, I kno that Pilot Ranks have the following meaning:1 stripe - solo2 stripes - Private Pilot3 stripes - Commercial4 stripes -ATPL.However when i see videos on youtube of pilots flying the plane, the co-pilots sometimes have only 2 bars and sometimes both pilots have 4 bars. Are you familiar with this situation:You have spent time and money to get Europe populated with Aerosoft sceneries, Ground Environment textures, AI planes by WoAI, you have multiple great addon aircraft, and then, when you think there is no more to buy, when you think you can sit and watch what you bought, it appears......that there still is a lot more to buy. And you ask yourself: does it ever end?I have stumbled upon this question once again. Part of the reason fore this, is because, while I really like FSX, still want to be able to use PMDG aircraft with more than 6FPS at busy airports. Hiho,I'm getting very tired of Squawkbox. Today i should fly BA0105 EGLL-OMDB but due to my f****** squawkbox i had to cancel that flight. :( To the problem:After i started flightsimulator on my PC, and started WideFS and then Squwakbox. Well, no problems. Then i want to connect to VATSIM, almost no problems. After 2-5 minutes, SB decided to freeze and i have to close it. Well, i try to start it again, Then it can't connect to multiplayer session, and in FS the dialog "Connecting to multiplayersession via lobby" doesn't dissappear, and i have to close FS.I tried to fix it with reinstall of SB, restart my laptop. Hi there chapsDoes anyone know any way of making Europe/UK look a bit more green in winter rather than the strange brown textures Microsoft uses during winter? I mean ways apart from buying Ground Environment or something. Hello, I have a problem with my Cockpit and Cabin. The instruments and gauges are there but its all faded out gray. I dont know whats the problem, it used to work fine. My graphic card is Intel GMA 3100 if thats any interest to you at all (or help in order to solving :( ). It used to work fine and I have nearly all the settings on High.
