Hi Gang.Well, after seeing some of those shots in here and the screen shots forums, I am seriously thinking of grabbing REX.I currently use ASv 6.5, FE and Ge Pro. But I would like to have my FS9 re-vitalised as some have felt that theirs have been.I am however, looking for some help / tips on what to watch for regarding anything that gets over written and can't be got back again, especially if we have altered or used a third party file such as the HALO and the env bitmap etc.Anyone have any tips for me please.I intend to use REX for the Clouds and Water only, as I only use Payware airports such as UK2000 etc, so the runway enhancements and the like won't work for me anyw…

I recently purchased MS FS9, I have an old copy of MS FS 98, figured that they must have improved something right?.....well I don't think they have. It's pathetic, I mean really.So, I got a Saitek Pro Yoke and throttle quadrant to go along with it and if you put the two together it's just a frustrating mess.Half the time the yoke is not calibrated correctly. I have followed Saitek's instructions on how to calibrate the yoke (in both Windows XP AND in FS9) and still every time I start my computer or even just re open FS9 it's out of calibration again (or sometimes it goes out after just starting a new flight).Now the mixture and prop control don't work (even though they sh…

Hi Guys, I am looking at buying A2A's P-47 for Fs9. On their Website they have the P-47D Solo and the Wings of Power P-47. The only difference that I can see is the Wings of Power P-47 contains 4 or 5 Different models of the P-47.Does anyone know if that is the only difference or is there a better flight model, Graphics, Sound ect in the P-47D solo?Any other info on A2A's P-47 for fs9 would be welcome. Also do you think A2A's P-47 is the best out there for Fs9 for either payware or freeware?cheersUly

Hi all, After years of being frustated by the quirks of FS ATC and AI (endless go-arounds, unrealistic AI behavior, etc, etc), I decided to go "solo". Being the only kid in town allows me to really enjoy the sim in a much better way, lol. However, after being accustomed to having the airports filled with AI, I must say that it's starting to get a bit lonely. I refuse, though, to put the AI back on (for fear of losing the love that I'm rediscovering for the sim). Are there any plans by anyone to develop a program that will really manage the AI and ATC more realistically? That's my one big kid wish for Christmas :)J.C. (MYNN)

Hey guys,Have been out of the game for a while. Computer also didnt help as it crashed and lost everything!Now im in the process of re-installing FS09 again (on laptop). As im a real life pilot now who is in the waitinglist for a major airline, i want to practice certain things using i.e. pmdg 737. Not really interested in VFR as i can do that in real life now :)My question is what important updates do i need for FS09 to run smooth? I believe there were someofficial updates? Hi, need a bit of help from some registry wizards please!I've just done a fresh install of FS9 for various reasons. Many many hours into the install, I'm trying to reinstall my project canaries and am having a problem. My previous installation was in the default x64 directory of ...\program files (x86)\microsoft games\flight simulator 2004. To get round another problem, my new installation is in \program files\microsoft games.....(leaving out the x86 path).Trying to run the canaries installer, despite it showing on the start screen that it will be installing to the correct directory, it proceeds to build its folders in the old 'programfiles (x86)' location. So, as the title says, there is this Carenado sale over at PC Aviator, with most items being 30% off. I have never been much of a "low and slow" VFR guy, mainly flying commercial jetliners (bought the Quality Wings 757 just a few days ago, too), but I decided to take the plunge and see what I make of it. For only 10 euros, I thought I could take the risk.Turns out I love my new Cessna 182RG. Beautiful plane. Lot of it is functional, sounds are very good, looks are fabulous. Stellar frame rates, too! Hi all,I think this is the correct place to post this question. I have two quesitons. 1. I downloaded the AFCAD Editor from flightsim.com and it appears to be the old version, it least it says it is. When I first open it, a box pops up and says that this version is 72 months old and I need to get an update. Is there an updated AfCAD Editor, and if so, where can I get it?2. I'm reading over the html readme file that came with the download. The problem is that there are no pictures that should be showing up in the file. I would like to know if there is a way to "uncheck" this option permanently.Evey time I start the FS9 FSX I have to go to the menu an manually uncheck it.

Bought this tonight and first impressions are very frustrating and disappointing. Seems absoluitely bug-ridden from my first flight in FS9;- I don't mind that not many overhead systems are modelled but those that are often don't work properly! APU logic is all off.. it keeps defaulting to OFF on every mouse click. (but this is just a minor one... read on!),- Engine start erratic, works cometimes, other times engine 2 will not start unless you give in and press CTRL+E,- BUT HERE'S THE REAL PROBLEMS; The A/P is absoluitely crazy on this plane! I found the "Korea Mesh Scenery" by Dennis Choi in the library, but the file is missing.Does anyone have this file or a better mesh for Korea?

I've searched, but turned up dry. I use to have a link and remember a good freeware Hawaiian scenery set, but now I can't locate it.I remember some scenery set called Project Hawaii...or Hawaii Project, something like that.Do you guys have some really nice scenery suggestions?

A while ago I remember seeing an absulutly epic freeware project that was a great photoscenery for all of Italy. I can remember being on the website and seeing that it was split up into loads of small downloads for each area and the whole lot was 10's and 10's if not the best part of 100GB in size!Obviously now that I want to download some of this, I cant remember where to find it.Anyone know what I'm on about?

After much wrangling and trying various settings this is my take on this product:The Bad:1. Background Sky Textures - I find all of them for the most part unusable for my tastes.2. Pitch Black Night - Some may like this but in the real world your eyes adjust to night conditions and it never stays this dark for anyone unless the said person is in need glasses. The feature within itself works as advertised though.3. Gui - The main thing I don't like about this is how slow it is.
