Hey Guys, Is there anyway to keep the Tail Light Logo on aircraft switched ON when you have de-selected Landing Lights in the Aircraft Settings section? They seem to be connected! I like having the Logo illuminated but don't like the Landing Lights, even with Nick's Fix.Many ThanksKeith

Hello everyone, I have a possible serious problem and I am asking for some help. I just bought a new add on for Flight Sim 2004 and when it loads it says I am missing a d3dx9_34.dll file. I have found out that it is related to directx. Now the fun part, I have bought a new windows 7 computer and I have a system 32 and a system 64wow files. I downloaded the microsoft directx end user thing but it asks me where to place the files. I am not familiar with the 32 and 64 system files. I just bought the new computer and it came with the two systems. It also says that there is no way to uninstall the directx end user, so if I get it wrong then I may wreck my whole new system. The…

Hi, It appears that when I set lots of clouds (and overcast) in the settings, my framerate is higher. This is probably because of the lower visibility.However, the game is "skipping". It's odd since in the VC (I'm flying mostly the PMDG 747) I get higher frame rates that usual (about 25-30 now!) but it keeps just skipping...Is there any fix for this? Im using high detailed clouds with REX but it was happening before. If I set the simple clouds, it doesn't skip but it's ugly.

I think that I may have some duplicate A.I. flight plans, as I see two aircraft almost touching..trying to land, or flying side-by-side at FL's.Just a few...Is there a program that can REMOVE duplicate A.I. flight plans from the ini file?Hope so..Thanks

Quite a few downloads for various aircraft textures are really excellent but contain incorrect or missing night textures. How can I create or modify the alpha channel to correct this. RegardsMike

I must be missing something here... I chose to install FS on my Sony VAIO to use when I travel. I use the keyboard for flight surface controls. I found that the up-down and left-right arrows would work the elevators and ailerons. But I can't seem to find the equivalent of keypad '5' which neutralizes or centers these surfaces. Can some one fill me in? Or maybe I need to buy a USB numeric pad.Thanks for any help.note: performance seemed fine during the spiral dive to destruction :( Thanks,Ken

Hello all,I am trying to run FSACARS with FS9 on my system with windows vista.Running it in compatibility with XP mode, and as administrator.set all the config options properly.it keeps asking 'Plane at departure airport?' I click yes and it keeps coming back, just never stops asking this. I somehow managed to get the flight log and other data in it and pressed start log - nothing..and guess what? the pop up came back.If I click 'no' to this pop up it reverts to send log options only.its fsacars 4.0.11 with the .15 update and I have fsuipc.......help please!

Don't know why but now lot of my airports the runways have a white color instead of the grey cement colorAnybody know maybe what texture file runways use? Or is it that?Taxiways look okay Don't know what I added or deleted to cause thisAny help is appreciated

my brothers! I really need help . Im going to re do my fs9 set up for the last time before going up to a new computer and windows7. I want to install a second hard drive. I want fs9 0n one and and win xp on the other. I need good guide to making this happen . I bought an 80gb ssd and a 320gb veloceraptor. Id like to put the os on the ssd and fs9 on the raptor. Is this a good plan? Also, does fs9 need to be on the same drive as the os???? is like to get on this asap. thanks in advance. edd jones.

I'm just off the runway at Phoenix Sky Harbor...running with my newly acquired:GE Pro II softwareREX2004 softwareTo all that said that these two packages, running alongside AS6.5 make FS9 a totally new experience....WERE NOT KIDDING!!!!!!I have customised both packages to what I wanted/needed, with REX2004 weather not in the loop. This weekend I will be picking up my new compter. I have copied all my FS9 folders from the old computer to a external hard drive, now when I get the new computer will I be able to just plug in the external drive and go fly? If not what would be the best and quickest way to get my FS back up and running on the new computer?(If this is in the wrong forum please move it)

I purchased the SkySimulations DC-9, and one annoying thing is when you select the aircraft from the FS9 menu. When the aircraft shows up in the preview screen rotating, it is much farther away than the other aircraft I select. Also, when the aircraft is brought up in the sim, the view from outside is just as far, leading you to attempt to zoom in on it. Is there a way to fix this or do you need to have to modify something within the aircraft itself prior to compiling it? I've never understood how to adjust this and I wasn't able to find anything by searching.Thanks,Eric

hello everyone, well it's time to buy a new laptop for fs2004. My old dell xps 1710 has gone bye bye. I know what you are all going to say about using a dell laptop for fs2004 but it worked for me. I need a new laptop but I am not sure which one. There are so many choices now. Can anyone give me a recommendation on a "good" system that will fs2004. I'm not picky but I am looking for something under $800.00. I am obviously concerned with speed and storage. I have A LOT of add ons and more and more each week. I have now this problem which I can't solve. My system has been working fine for years...FS9 loads quite slowly to the flight screen.From there I select a destination (my default is Aberdeen, USA) and the progress bar is supposed to start.It starts but with a delay and it takes time. When it reaches 43%, I get a Crash message from Windows XP telling me it is because of terrain.dll.I close the window and I go to a blue screen where it tells you that the PC was shut down to prevent from damage!Have you ever have that before?What is the reason. Faulty file? scenery?Help pleaseGhiom

Hey guys. Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place.I have a bug with FS Inn.. sometimes (can't say when -- I don't know.. most of the time) after opening the Inn CP and letting it connect to the network (but not VATSIM yet) I get this thing where I can't select the FSInn windows. I click on on of them (like the ATC / CP or chat) and after 1 second or so the "active" window is FS9 again. Makes it impossible to type into the chat box. Ever heard of this?ThanksPhilippe Hewett

Thanks to a tiny bit of information from Jim Skorna at HiFi I have finally managed to achieve what I have been striving to do for years.Get a completely overcast sky all around the aircraft, looking down on a lovely white blanket of cloud.The Secret is to up the Cloud Coverage Density from 8 to 12 in FS9.CFG.It changes back to 8 every time you go into the Display menu in FS, but it is definately worth doing.Just thought I would share this bit of info, as it has been driving me mad for years, and I stumbled upon the solution by chance in a post by Jim on the ASA forums.Neil

I recently installed Win XP x64 to take fully advantage of 6Gb ram.Now I am experiencing some troubles with FS9 version of 737 PIC Wilco: numbers in MCD (I mean course, speed, heading V/S...) are nomore displayed and also the engine gauge are not working anymore.Is anyone experiencing this too? Hi all I need some help I'm trying to find the latest and what seems like the last sceneries for Osaka scenery and Tokyo By Shigeo"shige" Ishii unfortunately I do not have them in a backup, I have searched google, no luck so far. and his website has been down for a long time now emailed him but no asnwer. I think one of the files was called FS2004 Tokyo Scenery Ver. G2.8 , dont remember if that was the last one he made for fs2004.
