Hi Chaps,I've been looking around for some time for a good FMS to use with my aircraft of choice. I recently downloaded the Tinmouse Advanced and found an FMS included in the package called the Mirage Works FMS. They have a site here:http://mirage.orz.ne.jp/fsdev/I have played about with it with little success so far as there seems to be a lack of documentation that I can locate anyway.Has anyone here used this FMS? Guess I've been living under a rock. :( I've been to their web site but have not been able to find any information concerning their FMC, can someone direct me to this info if it exists.Will this be on-par with Level-D's 767 release (systems wise)? . Gents, I purchased FS9 REX and it is FANTASTIC. A must have addition to FS9 IMHO. However, I have discovered an issue just to make you aware. REX installs a new envmap.bmp into your texture folder. Its larger than the original file or any replacements and Im sure has positive benefits to the Real Environment Xtreme product in ways I do not know.However, what I do know...is that it messes up your bare metal aircraft textures. It creates WAY too much reflectivity. As a guy who spends a lot of time creating metal textures as well as flying aircraft with bare metal skins, this was a problem.I fixed it by putting back the envmap.bmp I was using before, which was a 3rd party bi…

HiI have downloaded the Bahrain Airport V3 Scenery from AVSIM, but when I try and run, some of the default buildings still appear and the Air Bridges at the Terminal Buildings is missing.Is there one file that you can download and it covers everything to run that Scenerey using FS2004.Thanks

Heya guys,Apart from FlyTampa's scenery, which is quite old, is there a good quality Miami intl. Airport scenery around? I haven't been able to locate one, which is a pain. I want to fly there with Surinam Airways, and fly around with American Airlines between Miami and destinations such as St. Maarten (it's nice to have it, but to fly only long haul from there to Europe with KLM or Air France seems a bit boring to me, ya know...). Hope anybody can help me. Payware or freeware, it's all okay with me.

Is there a program out there that would let me take my 4 CDs of FS9 and make it into an installable program from a USB stick. I am thinking about buying a laptop that doesn't have a DVD drive so this would be my only way of installing without buying an external drive. I have owned the CDs for years so i don't give a crap what MS would have to say about it. It's only for my own personal use.Thanks

I just got my new LG (Full HD) 22" monitor. Impressive...yes, big...yes, hard on the eyes when flying FS9...yes. Matter of fact my eyes are still trying to adjust while I'm trying to type this. Anyway, I'm writing this about panels on a widescreen monitor, and not about my eyes being the size of saucers. I've noticed in other posts that people are/were complaining about the gauges in FS9 looking oval (not round) on a widescreen monitor, and that the companies/people that make the panels should be looking to modify/build panels for widescreen monitors. To help celebrate the season and the never-say-die tenacity of FS9, I just released an update to the TinMouse II B737-200 panel. This version includes the option to integrate Ernie Alton's ISG FMS units (FMS data can be displayed on the panel's mechanical HSI) as well as the excellent freeware CIVA INS and/or Lee Hetherington's TCAS display, and incorporates a lot of asked-for features since the last update two years ago.Since a number of our files were not recovered after the hack, this release is a complete archive of all the files needed to run the mouse...panel, models, sounds, effects etc. Just add FSUIPC and you're off and running.I also re-released the paintkit f…

Hello thereI was wondering - I don't get any sound crackling with any other add-on at all, only the sound set of Devyn Silverstein. I have noticed they are relatively loud, but they may have nothing to do with it. Drivers are up to date etc. I have also tried lowering sound acceleration settings both in FS and in the DXDIAG panel. Is there any practical solution to this matter, or is it a bit hard to put a finger on?I am using an Apple laptop running Windows XP SP3, so an onboard sound card.Has anyone any ideas?Thanks for any help any of you can offer.Cheers,Rudy

In the task manager, FS9.EXE shows it's using a tiny 12 meg of my RAM at the moment... (yes it is minimized as I write this, the number is usually about 100 meg)The VIRTUAL memory size right now is 725 meg?! What the...? Under the performance tab, I'm using 1.44 GB of PAGE FILE!? I am looking for repaints of PMDG and FiftyNorth 737s in the colours of SAS Norway.There are plenty of SAS repaints around, and many in the old Braathens colours. But I have trouble finding one in the SAS Norway variant, i.e. the blue tail, silver fuselage, with the large Norwegian flag on the back fuselage instead of the three Scandinavian flags. Don't care whether it's an earlier version (which says "SAS Braathens") or one of the later ones (which says "Scandinavian Airlines").Thanks for any hints

I am trying to load part 1 of this scenery but only 21,844 files are loading, it should be 64,170. I have also tried to load part 2, same result - 21,844 files instead of 65,733.Is there a limit to the number of files a folder can contain? Any ideas would be appreciated.RegardsKB

HelloI have been indulging in a spot of that hardy FS perennial..chasing the frame rate.(bored with time on my hands)I have been tweaking and trying different slider settings including Anti Aliasing on and off but without seeing any real improvements or degrading of frame rates.However with one exception 'aircraft cast shadows' this setting if turned of sees a real increase in frame rates.The trouble is aircraft look strange without there shadows.Has anybody else noticed this?Do you have this setting on or off?Cheers Andy

I just stayed up last night till 3am trying to find a decent sky texture that was universal (meaning something I could use and not change with every new weather system and/or season). What I was finding is everything but that. Some sky textures are too bright others too dull and others just plain weird. This is unfortunate because I love the Dusk/Dawn options, cloud texture, runways lights, and runway/taxiway options. It's just finding the right day texture that's becoming a huge problem. What I had previously was a combination setup through Activesky 6.5 that was great. I may have to use that in combination with Rex's other textures but Rex doen't like to adhere to…

I went back to FS9 after finding that FSX, while I really like it, just doesn't give me the performance I want (and I'm very liberal, so go figure...). Now I'm gradually installing FS9 addons, and between big things I'm testing performance to see how it all works. Hi allAfter over a year without Flight simulator I have decided to return, but not to the sim that caused me so many problems FSX :( no FS9 for me now,the PC I built for FSX runs FS9 without an hitch,and with help from my good friend and neighbor, Ken a BA virtual captain. HiI have the great FlyTampa Dubai Airport, which is great, but just wondered if there are plans to do an update version of it by the likes of other developers.I thinks its a great Airport, and its a shame it has been forgoten, I know its going through rapid changes but its a lot different to what is was when FlyTampa first released it.Its like having LHR without Terminal 5, I think both Dvelopers for LHR have done a superb job, especially Garry who tries to keep his scenery updated.If anyone knows a good Dubai and Shangahi Pu Dong Scenery please share it with us.Thank You.

Hi.Just been looking at real sky pro, and wondered what others thought of it.I have been using FE, ASv6.5 and GE Pro for a while, but wanted to do something Cloud and Sky wise to get a change and different feel to the Sim.Is REAL SKY PRO EDITION FS9 version any good at all, I do like FE, but obviously they haven't really done any up-dating as such and I would like to try something different.Thanks for any thoughts gang.

Hi,I've been looking for instructions on how to setup the correct view for the control tower in FS9. It would be the correct view from inside the control tower at the correct heigth. The instructions were once on Flightsim.com and now I can't find it. I've done it once before but it's been a few year back. I remember in the instructions that you align the Cessna 172 to the correct heigth and align it inside the control tower in slew mode within flight simulator, but I don't remember what the instructions were after that. Does anyone know where I can find it or know the instructions. Ken Manning

I've just reinstalled FS9 to do some airliner flying and I can't seem to find a couple of repaints:British Airways "Union Flag" livery (NOT any of the "World Tails" liveries) for the 50N 737-400.EUJet livery for the Digital Aviation Fokker 100.Does anyone know if these repaints are available anywhere?Thanks,Nick
