Spent last week in South America on business. The airline part of it was quite cool. I had to fly from SBGR (Garulhos Sao Paulo) to EZE Buenos Aries Argentina. Did so on a Aerolineas Argentina A340. Very big airplane for a relatively short (1000 mile) flight. Very fun as I hadnt flown on an A340 before. What was REALLY cool however was seeing all the other foriegn aircraft at Sao Paulo. In particular, a TAAG Angola Airlines 747-300. I watched that one take off for a flight to Luanda Angola. Given all this, my imagination is taken with flights across the southern oceans. Hello folksHope someone can help but i'm having a CTD problem.When i'm flying my Wilco/Feelthere A320 series airbusalong with Radar contact and FS2crew about every 15 to 20minutes i get a CTD annoying more than anything just wonderedif anyone out there knows what the problem could be.Phil :( :(

Hi guys, got another problem i hope you can help out with, i was on approach to isd's lirf in pmdg's 738 i dissconnected the ap hand flew the approach down to mins, was about to flare and the plane just pulled off to the right and wrecked the flight. This has happened before at egll 27r in wilcos a320 but never in my 738. Any ideas on whats gone wrong here, Thanks for your help as alwaysChris

Hello All,So my question is regarding the downloading weather option in FS9. In the weather setting, there is an option that reads:- Download winds aloft data with real world weather.My understanding of this is that it will download the upper winds with the weather. However, if I download with this option check, the weather is completly different then when its not check....Any ideas to why this is?

Stupid question I thought about today as I was pulling into my parking spot, has anyone tried having AES interact with AI? Probably would kill frame rates...just wondering. :( V/rScott

I want to have good scenery of Heathrow, and I basically have to choose between UK2000's heathrow extreme, and Aerosoft's Mega Airport Heathrow. What do you use, and what do you think is better? Both look pretty good. By the way, if one of the two versions is less beautiful but gives better framerates, I'm more than willing to take that one. lesser eye candy does not bother me, as long as I get good performance for it in return.

Hey guys,After a fresh install of Windows 7 64bit, i am ready to yet again install FS9 ( this will be my 17 re-image in the bast 4 months ) I want to do this in such a way that it may help to prevent micro stutters - as this is my issue with the sim. So my question is... What is the best way to install FS9 and the update ? i know it sounds simple but there may be some complications to it...? I have a friend that is flying with FS9. At night, he doesn't have any runway or taxiway lights, using both default airports and addon airport sceneries. Any idea what might be causing this??

Hi people. I have been using flightsim for the last 5 years and I still feel like I know nothing... Just a question about AI airlines. I use World of AI for their packages and I have a lot of them, but it seems like my airports are empty. Does the date on the package (i.e. United Airlines Summer 2008) matter when I set my parameters before flying (dusk,dawn,winter,dates etc.)? Do I have to have all of the same date to be able to see them at the same time, let's say I fly between Logan and O'Hare?Thank you for your time.Benoit

I try to merge the Overland visual model with the panel of the Wilco A380.I have used the search funciton but not found what I needed.I have also tried to use a method which has worked for all my other planes: keep the Wilco folder, only replace the Wilco model folder by the Overland model folder and the Wilco texture folder(s) with the Overland texture folder(s). Keep the Wilco aircraft.cfg, only change contact points, lights, effects, tailhook, folding wings. I have had no problem whatsoever with that method on merging any imaginable combination (the theory is that the panel and .air file don't care what the model looks like. What the panel needs is a proper aircraft.cf…

Recently I upgraded to Win 7. I was reinstalling scenery and everything and after about an hour and a half I realized iI pulled a bonehead maneuver and fogot FSgeneis. If I install this after installing UT and all kinds of city airports is this going to conflict with anything? Thanks!

It seems that version 2 (PF10070V2) is no longer available, despite on the half of september someone was still able to download it (http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=260798). Is it a known problem, or could someone help with it? Is there any alternate site for downloading?Thanks in advance for the answer

I am in the process of buying a new Windows 7 PC to replace my aging and very sick XP machine. My new machine will inevitably come with a widescreen monitor as it's impossible to get standard 4:3 monitors these days. My understanding was that most widescreen monitors are in 16:10 format. However it seems to me that most if not all the current batch are in "true widescreen" 16:9 format. I have never had a widescreen monitor and don't really understand the implications of screen resolution and format on TFT monitors - things were much simpler in the days of CRT monitors. Hey guys I upgraded to window7 a few days ago. Now I realize that all my airports shows up out of alignment on every program that I use (FSC, RC4. My TCAS is driving me mad in my Maddog.Today I was crusing along at FL350, and was given traffic on a 737 at FL360. However I got a TCAS RA and the TCAS showed the 737 300ft above me.I quickly turned on AI aircraft labels, and low and behold, FS had the 737 cruising at 35300ft.This has been going on for a while now, even after a reinstall.Does anyone else have this problem, and if so, how do you solve it???ThanksNeil.

Hi All,This may seem to wide ranging but if only experienced FS9 users and engineers of the game reply, it will save a lot of time. Reply only if you can address all aspects of the post please. OK, Im interested in viewing what spec FS9 will run as near as perfect as is possible on a 1980x1020 22" screen @ FULL SETTINGS with a Samsung F1 1TB HD. I have a backup tape of an FS 2002 install on W98, but not the hard drive it was made from (drive failure). And I can't find my FS 2002 CD to do a reinstall on the new hard drive. Are their registry entries for FS 2002 in W98 that need to be there for the restore of FS 2002 to work.Any help will be appreciated.

Does anybody know if the cockpit panels for HJG jets have a VC? I can't fly 2D panels on my rig, only 3D. Thanks!JS
