Hi,I have recently bought a new PC for FS9 and whilst my FS9 is fully loaded with add-ons and all the sliders are up to max, I did think I would having it running smoother than it is. Allhough there is no magical fix, it would be useful to hear from others with similar systems to see if I am gettnig what I should.My PC is a dual core running at 3.33Ghz, 4GB RAM & 896MB NVidia 260GTX. I also have FS9 installed on a seperate HDD to Windows XP Pro. I have triple screen so resolution is 3840x1024. I am running 182 version of nvidia drivers as they seem the most reliable for FS9, if I go higher I get issues with textures. I run in full view mode rather than windowed mode.…

Hey guys....i Have a problem.....when i was on a flight from EGBB to EHAM KL1424 with the PMDG B73W ...right after depature like around 8000-9000 ft i get a 1 and 2 engine failure so i wanted to deselect the option thats causing this (if there is one) so i pressed the ALT key and went to PMDG/Failure but when i clicked it it didnt appear it just stayed black and when i pressed the windows button u can see it flash as FS2004 minimizes.....I have Windows 7 64 bit....any suggestions.....help please! Of all the WOAI files missing, United Express is it... Due to the many changes that have gone on with UA Express I'm finding overlap on some routes if I use Ultimate Traffic's options. Was there ever a UA Express WOAI file released and if so does anyone have it?Thanks in advance...

I've noticed when running Flight Dispatch, Radar Contact, AS6 and FS9 all at the same time, FS9 chokes out at 80%+ system utilization, making for one stuttery ride.Is it possible that so many apps are calling fsuipc at once that they are all competing for memory space? Does anyone else run this sort of combination and has experienced something similar?

I am returning to FS9 to see how the new A320 bird flies. I have updated a new FS9 install to 9.1, is there a further upgrade to 9.2 that I should do as well?The first thing I noted with the new virgin install was how fast it loads and the very high frame-rates, however this is with no add-ons at all yet. However I did note briefly last night that I obviously have an issue with graphics settings, the airport at KSEA was crawling with jagged edges when on approach. I have AA set in nHancer for my 8800 GTS video card, but no change when switching AA on or off in FS9. When setting up my Wilco 737 PIC, I notice in the lower right corner of my EADI, below the DH, the number "-2" appears. Is this normal? Once I take off it goes away and doesn't come back until I land. Is there something I should be setting prior to take-off? This happens at all the airports. My aircraft isn't sinking into the ground and doesn't appear to have any problems taxing or landing. I've read the manual and can't find anything about it. Yeah, I know.... It has probably been asked squillions of times.Sorry folks, but I have been out of the FS(9) loop for a few years alas.I am re-building the machine and am having problems with add-on scenery.I am sure I am doing what I did last time when it did work, but..... I can't be sure.Anyway, I remember (or think I remember) there was a program kicking around which did a test of add-on scenery and made sure you had all the required acenery packs installed.Does such a program exist?Thanks in advance.

Simmers, I read earlier on this site that there was a problem with the new Dublin EIRESIM scenery with it not being recognized by "Radar Contact". What does that mean. Is "Radar Contact" a special software or download for FS9. Or is it part of basic FS9? I don't personally have a lot of patience for fixing problems with downloads, so I'm hoping if I don't have this "Radar Contact" I'll be OK.

Finally got FS2004 installed on my new computer (Vista). Still have Fs2002 on my old computer (XP). I select my hometown airport, set up for real world weather and it always comes up the same - snowing - poor visibilty no matter what the weather is. (Using the actual date for time and season and it has not snowed for over a week).If I go to the Fs2002 on the other computer using real world weather the weather seems to be fairly accurate.Any ideas why this is happening?

Hi AllNeed some help here. Have had to do a re-install of FS9 and Before I had a small file that speeded up default ATC talking so AI took off faster and it was just a more realistis talking speed. Thing is I cant remember where I got it. I thought it was an option within "Traffic2005" which I have but if it is I cant find it now. Then I checked "Radar Contact" which I also have, but no joy. Would someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction if it is in these addons or if it's a freeware file.Sincere thanks and best regardsMalcolm "Rooster" Hancock

Hi all me again, made test box in gmax 2004, worked thru tutorial everything compiled ok, placed BGL file in addon scenery, scenery, never showed up in FS2004. checked Xml file in Xml helper no problem. No textures involved.

I went ahead and took the plunge with the hope that Aerosimmer comes to their senses and realized an upgrade option is the best way to go. Just anecdotal really but just to say that I have been running 'FSX only' for over 2 years now, when I uninstalled FS9 and relegated it, (along with my dozens of boxed add-ons for FS9) to the cupboard. (Sad day!).However, a couple of days ago, I re-installed FS9 to run the Airsimmer A320 (I am an Airbus A32X and A33X nut) and although I expected to only 'tolerate' FS9, I am really enjoying being back in the old sim!First thing - load up time. Because of a lot of photoscenery, and tonnes of add-ons, FSX takes ..... wait for it..... 17 minutes to load for me. Does anyone know where to find Andy Weir's LOD9 meshes for all of OZ? It appears that most of the links are broken in the library. Also, I asked this before but didn't get a response...if a link is broken in the library, does that mean that the files are lost forever or what has to happen to get them to work again?Mark

For some reason when I land at some of my fs2004 airports and atc tells me to contact ground I contact ground and look for the taxi to gates option or general aviation option and the option is not in the atc menu. I don't know what it could be but I did install Edit Voice Pack so could that be it? Thanks to anyone who can help.

What software and what setting do I have to do to do a hurricane hunt? I can't seem to find one for fs2004, is there one? I wanna fly my C-130 etc into a nice looking hurricane. There is no way a product could be released with such poor results as the enclosed attachment shows. From the ground looking up, the contrails don't look that bad, but how often do we do that when we are flying around? When in the air the further away an aircraft is, the better the contrails look, but overall I was very disappointed To give the developer a huge dose of the benefit of the doubt, the chances are I am doing some wrong, so any suggestions or comments would be most welcome.
