hi,i bought traffic 2005 for fs9 and ai smooth goes as part of the package.i am a bit confused if ai smooth runs by itself as part of traffic 2005 or do i need to run the aismooth.exe and leave it running in the background when i run fs9?also, can anyone recommend the best settings for aismooth for the ai separation and ai landing distances to avoid as many go-arounds as possible?thanks

For the fly-by-wire system simulated in the Wilco Airbus Vol. 1 package, does it matter if the elevator/aileron axes are assigned via FSUIPC, or does it have to be set via FS9's internal assignments for the fly-by-wire to work properly?

Many of us experienced unexpected "blurries" when flying into Sangster (MKJS) after we installed the Mach 1 version last year.I am happy to report that the update (for several of their airports including Sangster) seems to have corrected the problem - at least on my system at Sangster.The update is available now in the library - update_pack_2.zip.I added the new and/or corrected files to my Mach 1 Sangster package - sangster_2009.zip (also in the library) and all of the test flights I have done so far yielded no blurries whatsoever.Thought those of you who had this problem a year or so ago might want to give it a shot again. I have bought this excellent aircraft payware recently and I cannot stop using it and enjoy it. I have actually parked the rest of my payware aircrafts while I am flying the E-190.However when I got the aircraft there were 2 things I didn't liked much so I begun to search the net to try to figure out some soultion.I didn't liked much the small size of the PFD and MFD and EICAS panels. It was difficult to read and work with them unless we fullxy expand them using right click which rendered some important AFCS buttons unavalaible.However I have found the solution to this, Lylan Walters have posted a very simple and easy way to resize the main 2D pannel in a way that the PFD…

First off, since the Tu-154 is freeware I assume it doesn't violate any term to try to use the KLN-90 GPS in other planes in FS9. But if my assumption is false please let me know.That said, I tried to use the KLN-90 in a couple of planes including the default C-182. The GPS seems to work properly but I can't "link" it to NAV1. In other words, the GPS doesn't drive NAV1 even when I switch the NAV/GPS button to NAV.Any input is appreciated!Jason

In an earlier post someone was looking for the "Best Trees" in Fs2004 and the suggestion was made for "Trees 3" by Aime Leclercq in Avsims files. This file is NOT in the File Library right now. It is at Flight Sim. Look under "Advanced Seach"" All these words.... TREES"One or more of these words....Aime Leclercq 2007It will take you to this file.jerrycwo4

I just installed Windows 7 Home Premium. Then installed FS2004 onto its own hdd. In fullscreen it works great with no problems but in window mode what i like to use with 3 monitors it's like i have a frozen screen but i can hear the sim running in the background. I updated to the latest Nvidia drivers for my GTX 295. Is there any cure for this problem? Thanks.

Hello. I'm hoping someone can answer this for me.I have found that I have two scenery.cfg files for FS9.#1 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9This one has a modified date of 10/11/09#2 UserProfile\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9This one has a modified date of 9/8/09In looking at what's inside it appears that the one in the main FS9 folder contains more entries and is probably the correct one. However, where might have this other one come from and why would the modified date be so recent?Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks!

fs9 has been running great..... All of a sudden today, I get a crash to desk top and a facilities.dll error. Never seen this before?

Hi, Captains! As my motherboard was faulty, I decided to change it into another type, plus get more RAM.I'm receiving my new parts tomorrow morning. That of course means a full system reinstall. On that occasion, building a fresh FS9.1 install, I thought I might give the famous 3BG switch a try.The reason is PMDG 747-400 and MD-11. Thery are the only addon aircraft giving me regular OOMs (not always but often).And the Boeing 747-400 is generally my favourite airliner, especially for longhauls. This product is really great but I keep giving it up and trying again and again. Eventually... OOMs. My question is not how exactly I am to perform the 3GB switch (though I st…

I've even gone so far to delete it all and start over again. I've never has so many problems with FS9 in my life. It makes no sense to me now when I install fly tampa's San Fran, it makes the fly tampa Seattle take some of the default sceney back i.e. hangars and gates. Same thing is happening with my imagine simulation files. FSDreamteam and Mach 1 files are fine...It's like whatever of the two paywares I put in last will override their companions....FS9.1 is installed too....

Hi all,After 2 years of really bad performance with FSX I decided it was time to get back to FS9 so I could join the 2009 World flight event.I have a HP Pavillion dv7 with a Nvidia 9600M GT graphics card running Vista SP2 and 4 GB RAM. I updated the drivers for the video card to the latest edition (27/08/2009). Unfortunately FS9 won't behave like it is supposed to ! In 2D I can't switch between views, cockpit view works fine but pressing "S" doesn't change the view but I does change the sound effect. In full screen mode switching between views works but I can't open subpanels (e.g. press "2" to open pop-up) except when using the "Views" menu options.So far I have:- update…

Hi guys, I am wondering where i could download or buy sounds for the defaul AI Traffic. For Example: When u line up before a plane or two, on the taxiway, in real life you can hear the plane take off and the roar of its engines when sitting in the cocpit or the cabin. In FS 2004 u cant hear anything. I want to download so i could hear sounds of the planes taking off and taxiing etc..Thanx

I don't know how many others feel about this but I've more that spoken out about yet another 767. Now a vote is up for dumbing the add-on down that much farther and people are actually voting that way. I can honestly say we don't have a decent 767-400 with an accurate VC now we may get the choice depending on how we vote and what we say (comments). CLS is only stating their considering throwing the -300 VC in the -400 or nothing at all but a visual model which we can get for free from Posky. My vote is, 'No I rather have the -400 cockpit' because this is already a lite add-on at least we could have the various models with properly rendered VC's. It makes no since ha…

For FS9, I am looking for the best possible A380 experience. I am aware that there is no one product on a PMDG or LDS level of quality or realism. If it was as good as one of the PSS birds or the Wilco Airbus (WITHOUT the bugs!!!) then that's good enough for the moment.So what I look for: an outstanding visual model and some flight dynamics that make this bird feel heavy. An FMC with some decent funtionalities. Some "manual work" for bringing the cockpit from cold and dark to life. Which one to pick, or which combo to go for? Having been inspired by some excellent Russian scenery over on the Screen Shot forum, instead of sweeping up the leaves, I have spent a happy morning installing some Russian airports which really are superb.
