I am trying to purchase the Airsimmer a320 basic. When I click on the "BUY NOW" button, I start downloading the flight1 wrapper,the file name is "AirsimmerA320BasicSetup.exe" the download site is http://cdn1.flight1.net, but it stops downloading at 12.6MB everytime. The wrapper shows up on my desktop, but when I click it says "incorrect file size". During the download process it shows that the File size should be 166MB. I have tried downloading the wrapper at home, work, friend's house, on a Mac and PC and it is always the same--quits at 12.6MB and shows the wrapper on the desktop, but cannot be run. I've tried to search for reviews that cover this topic rather than just the graphics quality (which is impressive), but what is the frame rate hit/improvement like with this addon?I'm running a dual core AMD 6000+, 3 gigs DDR Ram, ATI 3650 1gig ram card.

Before I throw my joystick through my monitor can someone please help me?I have tried this solo checkride for my private pilot lic about 10 times. Each time I fail, this lady is annoying!One time I will fail b/c I "roll out" too soon. I don't roll out until it tells me to level off at 2000' and maintain 100 mph. If I take too long to roll out it tells me I'm too high and it fails me b/c my altitude was too high. If I roll out too fast it tells me I rolled out too fast. If I roll out too soon it tells me I'm not high enough. Sometimes I will get lucky and get past this part. Then it wants me to do a 360 turn to the left. Hi All,A sudden problem: I installed the KJFK scenery by FSdreamteam to have a look if it was something to by. After that I did a restart of Fs2004 and got a CTD: FS2004 loads normally but shortly before the screen for choosing the airport should come up, I get a black screen and the sim shows a CTD.What I tried until now:- deleting the KJFK addon- deleting Fs9.cfg- controlling and correcting area numbers in scenery.cfg (which was a mess)But it didn't work. Does anyone know how I can get the sim running again??Your advice is highly appreciated!Regards, Hans

Anyone know how to turn off Walk and Follow in FS9? I don't see any option in the DBS menu inside FS9. Is it even possible to turn it off and on?Andy S

Hi,This is my first post - hope someone can help. I need an XML gauge to automatically set prop pitch to high whenever the flaps are in the zero (fully retracted) position. I've tried a few bits of code like:%(A:FLAPS HANDLE INDEX,number) 0 == %(>K:AXIS_PROPELLOR_SET=13763) %(>K:AXIS_PROPELLOR_SET=16384)%but no joy. It may be because the accompanying syntax is wrong.I'm new to XML, and would appreciate a bit of coaching!

Like most of you I have and love REX. I've spent the better part of two weeks tweaking REX and now conceder myself to have FS9.99. It's unbelievably beautiful ! Even tho REX has a LOT of runway/taxi way choices I still like the textures of the Zinertek's Airport Enhancer better. I love the texture of it with the scuff marks and oil spill stains all around. I loaded REX then I loaded the Zinertek's program. The question is if I change any of the REX textures and install them will this OVER WRITE the Zinertek's Runway textures and I will have to re-install the Zinertek's textures?I also liked the Zinertek's water texture program but after a while I have the REX's …

Anybody,Last weekend, I have downloaded (from the other site) 5 airports, enhanced by William Campbell.They look nice but I have the nagging feeling there's something wrong with one or more of them.After installation (no instructions included with the files) I tried a flight from KIAD to KMSP. Hello:I created a profile for FS9 using Alacrity by Ken Salter. Unfortunately after I load a situation I get a message saying that FS9 cannot download weather and I need to check my internet connection. Apparently I have a process that I turned off that I should have left on and I don't know what it is. For those who use Alacrity PC: could someone please tell me what process I need to leave on? can i increase my autogen farthere in the CFG file? I want way way more then the moswt I can get from the Options menu, and yes i do know how to get more autogen with Ulitmate Terrian.

I've been doing FS since 1995 and have always used a joystick partly because at the time, there were no good yokes/pedals and partly because of my real world "job" as an F-15E driver stationed at the time at RAF Lakenheath UK (492FS). To make a long story short and hopefully get some advice/lessons learned, I've decided to migrate to CH yoke and pedals (yes I'm getting more gray hair as we speak :( and spending less time pulling Gs then in hauling passengers). Looking at the reviews on both, they come highly recommended. I also use CH pro throttles. So for the guys/gals who fly with CH yoke and rudder pedals, can you provide me some comment on any unique settings etc…

1/ Please find a way to allow the Installation instructions - at the very least - or the whole documentation - best - to be available BEFORE installing the program/software on the computer.Yesterday I bought REX and had to install it on my main computer before I could find how I should proceed in order to run it networked: now I have to uninstall and intall it on my client. Hi AllAfter the installation of a new Mobo to my PC over the Christmas period, the security devices on two utilities, namely Active Camera and FSHotSFX kicked in and refused the re-registration of either programme.However, return emails from each developer were received within 24 hours of requesting them. Hi all,I just wanted to clear a few things up that have been confusing me.If I fly a 747 in to KORD and ATC vectors me to intercept the ILS for RNWY 09R and I hand fly the whole way in and land - this would be considered an instrument approach right? To fly the same approach as a visual approach I would have to use some other NAV means other than the ILS to get close enough to the airport where I could actually see the runway and then land with out using the ILS. I guess my question is this, what exactly qualifies as a visual approach? I just realized last night that as long as I've been simming and as much as I think I know about flying I don't really understand what …

I've been looking online for scenery and other add-ons.My question is, for FS2004 what is the best overall scenery package?I see from: Flight One both the Ground Environment 2006 and Ground Environment Pro look nice.Then I also see some from FScene 4X which look nice too.Then I also see multiple products from Zinertek.I also have FSX but my PC isn't the top of the line so I'm thinking (please correct me if I'm wrong) but I would be better off getting different add-ons for FS2004 to make it look super nice. I am thinking of putting a second FS9 install on my PC and dedicating it to propliner flying, which I do a lot of. Tom Gibson and crew have created too many cool airports etc in retro format to ignore anymore. However... I cant seem to find my install disks for the FS9 copy I have (and installed multiple YEARS ago.). Was thinking of buying a new set, but cant find any. Where to go?I did check the Avsim store but didnt see any. I am willing to purchase a good clean used set though. Thanks in advanceEric

Not trying to start anything but this is really amazing to me. FS9 is still toping FSX in freeware downloads even on this first day of 2010. When will it stop and the new sim finally take hold across the board? You couldn't have told this community FS9 would still be very much viable in the year 2010 when FSX was released (or even 2 years after it's release). The hard nosed stance many like Aerosoft are taking in not providing dual products makes since in one area (FSX will take hold sometime in the future the question is when. Im loving life with REX FS9 and my other addons. I agree with someone who called it FS 9.75... Who needs FSX? (Not me.)One thing however that I still cant get right is water settings in REX. Im just not happy with how it looks so far. Either too blue or two bumpy or two reflective. I usually fly with water details turned completely OFF, but would like to experience what I have seen in screenshots of the beautiful water REX can show. I tried the presets and just dont love them.For say, northern hemisphere, Seattle type water, what settings are you guys using?Appreciate the advice and Happy New Year!Eric
