I got a second monitor for myself, hoping to increases the realism of flying.I was hoping that the second monitor would accomodate things like the GPS(RealityXP GNS 530),the FMC(from payware aircraft), or any of the new view windows from fs9(like externals).But alas all the above cannot be dragged to the second monitor. THe only thing I can drag are independent programs like FS Commander or VRoute, so I can watch my plane on a moving map. And even then, fs9 has to run in windowed mode which I'm not crazy about.I remember I read once in a back issue of PCPilot, about a guy whose second monitor was a touchscreen on which he placed an FMC so that he could program it. Hello again simmers, i need some help and im not sure where to post this so mods please move if not appropriate here. It is regarding the HDR pluggin im seeing alot about and i wondered if anyone is using this and what results you get and how i go about getting and implenting this tool, basicly i need an idiots guide to how to use this so if you have the time to describe the whole procedure i would be very gratefull. Here's your first question. I upgraded to WIN 7 and had to rebuild many files including FS9. I've done everything but throw the computer out the window and can't get Rwy12/object placer to work. The main Rwy 12 file is separate in my C:\ files. Library 1 FOLDER was placed in FS9>addon scenery. Library 2 & 3 scenery and texture FILES were placed in FS9>addon scenery>scenery and FS>addon scenery>texture and are visible when I open the folders. Is the problem with WIN 7 or what? As far as object placer, I'm going by the book when trying to add static items. Thanx for any help you can give me. Tom F

Hi all!I should know the answer to this as this is my third time having to reinstall fs9 in 3 years (Windows XP Pro failure again!), but what would everyone suggest is the best order in which to reinstall addons? In the past I have done it fairly randomly and, certainly as far as scenery is concerned, I have had to do a lot of moving around of entries in the scenery library to adjust their priority. I am starting by reinstalling terrain mesh addons, Ground Environment, Flight Environment etc and then was planning photosceneries (such as France VFR and Megascenery) followed by airport scenery. I don't suppose it matters when aircraft are added during the reinstallation? My…

HiIs it possible to assign command "cycle view" to only one button.Now I have assigned command "S" to the button on my yoke.The problem is that I would like to have only cycling from 2D to VC and vice verse and only on one button.When I press first time I go from 2D to VC, and when I press second time I go back from VC to 2D.Is it possible?Thanks in advance and Happy New Year 2010.Edin

I've been looking for a gauge (preferably - XML) that when pressed in FS2004 will disable my joystick and if pressed again will enable my joystick. The default keyboard assignment to disable/enable the joystick in FS2004 is CTRL+K.Anyone know where I could find such a gauge? Or even better, can a simple xml gauge be written to allow such a task?Any help would be appreciated.ThanksRJ

Here is the problem - have recently reinstalled FS9 - just wasn't using it for a while ... for some reason, and this NEVER has happened in ALL the years I have been using FS9 (also no new hardware or changes to hardware have been made) - the screen goes black - the monitor goes into a standby mode ... and of course the program just stops - have to reboot the system to being it (the system) back up.Video is a Radeon 9250Any ideas and/or solutions????Dale

Hey all,I was wondering of there is some kind of FS9 tweaking guide, like there is a FSX tweaking guide? Against what I expected, I have a FS9 installation that gives quite bad FPS. So yeah, bad FPS with GE, detailed airports and detailed planes and lots of AI, but still. I want to get UT too, and I want to have good FPS. Otherwise I might as well stay with FSX... Anybody know of such a guide for FS9?

After a forced reinstall of a new operating system (former: Windows XP Home, now: XP Professional), I reinstalled FS2004, updated to FS9 and then copied my FS9 folder and all the other folders for add-ons and tools from where I had saved them. I understand I have to reinstall payware, because it gets registered in the registry. I did that. Still, FS9 crashes while loading. Any hints on how to migrate with FS9? I don't want to install every single program, this would be very painstaking.Best regards,Holger

My question, in Wilcos A320 when in the VC i cant - the ALT, i can only + and i have to revert back to the 2d pannel to decrease the ALT. hi,is it possible in fs9 to have 2 (almost) perpendicular runways where one runway has either ends active depending on wind condition: but the other runway can only have one active end no matter the wind condition?i tried closing one end of the other runway but when wind conditions shifts, although all AIs don't use the other end, they use the other runway which is quite a distance to taxi and causes a lot of disappearing planes because of holds when plenty of AIs are arriving / departing due to facing traffic.

I can't remember when I replaced FS9'(x)'s textures with custom...probably when (B)ird's(E)ye(V)iew textures came out. I installed them, and what a difference it made to my flight simulation experience. I stayed with them right up until a few days ago, when I switched them out for G.E. Pro II.You never know what's around the next curve through the 'mountains', unless you decided to actually see for yourself.Having gone from B.E.V. to G.E. Pro II, is absolutely like having just gone from FS98 to FS2004, stock. Also talk of increasing cloud coverage value to 12 which exceeds the top default value in the sim. This had little or no effect for me because my weather engine already produces a very good overcast sky.
