Hi,Since my FMS data is getting updated regularly from Navigraph, I have started to notice that routes that I get from IFR "real world" planning websites (for example I've been using vRoute) are now outdated and so cannot be properly used... all sorts of nasty errors popping up and waypoints that didn't exist!Please can somebody tell me the best flightplanning utility which will do all of the following:- Generate accurate IFR flightplans, following proper high altitude airways, using current (Navigraph) AIRAC data- Allow the plan to be printed as a datasheet for filling in during flight- Export the plan to FS9 format so I can use the internal ATC for IFR flights offline*-…

Hello everyone.I am currently using a ch yoke but have also aquired a saitek throttle about 6 months ago, I have never really used it as my older pc wasnt powerful enough to run fs9 the way i wanted it too. Recently I have purchased a new system that can run fs9 like a dream.Anyways I am about to go and try and set up my throttle but have a few questions. I will be using this with my level d 767 and what I would like to accomplish is to use the first 2 levers as throtles and the third as either a speed brake lever or a flap lever, Now the main question is it even possible to accomplish this using this throttle system.Another thing i was wondering if anyone uses this with …

When you are flying along and using Active Sky 6.5 is there a keystroke to bring oup the "summary" of the weather? At presant the way I have to get to it is:Key the "desktop icon " key ( just to the right of the "Ctrl" key)From the "small program window" that comes up, key on the AS 6.5 icon and the AS 6.5 window comes up with the summary of the weather.There used to be a single key that I could key while flying to get to the normal desktop, but I can not remember what is was?? thanks jerrycwo4

Hi GuysI've just downloaded the excellent Zvartnots - Yerevan scenery from the Russian avsim site..Since FS2004 came out the code for this airport has been changed from UGEE to UDYZ. Is there anyway to change this within FS2004??CheersSteve

in fs 2004 create a flight window, when i go to flight planner and enter certain airport codes where i want to start, when i double click to enter that airport into the flight planner, it crashes to decktop. but when i enter the same airport into selected location it starts. any good answers to my problem.

Hey Gents,I'm wondering if there is a way to change the default setttings so that my planes do not begin with 100% full tanks (I know how to alter it in the tab for fuel and payload but I want to make it a more or less permenant change). I looked in both the cfg files for the individual planes and the main FS9 cfg file but couldn't find anything that corresponded with what I'm looking for.Any one know how to alter this?

I have a question, i been mostly a boeing fan and mostly fly Leveld and pmdg planes and absolutly love them but was woudnering if there is a airbus plane on par in terms of features/fmc flight model as pmdg or leveld stuff? i looked around and didnt find anything that was close to that realistic anyone has suggestions? I did check out CLS and didnt find their stuff attractive or at least didnt think it was reals as it stated limited function of the systems. anyways any help would be appreciated.thanks.Andre.

Can somebody PLEASE help me? When flying the JustFlight PSS 757, when I press the "OVHD" icon in the panel switcher it will change the view from "View Forward" to "View Down", but only if I accidentally have either window 01 or window 02 as the active window; it does not display the overhead panel in either of those two views, and NEVER does it happen when the main window, View 00, is the active view - the icon behaves as intended!! It's VERY annoying - I can change the view back easily enough by going into the View menu in FS9, but I'm always afraid I'm going to crash to desktop or something (you know how paranoid we get when everything is finally running smoothly). …

I can get microsoft operating systems free through my school. My question is would it be worth it for me to upgrade from my Vista 32 bit to windows 7 or Windows XP, and would I benefit from upgrading from a 32 bit to a 64 bit? I get good frames right now with many add ons just looking for a slight boost. My computer specs are 3GB RAM 2.0 ghz processor and a 9500GT video card with 512mb. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

I first starting getting OOM errors a couple years ago after installing Ultimate Terrain USA. Flights with the PMDG747 or LDS 767 would end in OOM. I applied the /3GB switch solution and have used that successfully ever since. Until recently...I purchased the Leonardo Maddog 2008, which is awesome. But I got my first OOM as I approached KBWI last weekend. I thought it was just a fluke as I was on the second leg of a 2-leg flight. I re-flew the leg this morning and got the OOM; this time I got worried. I looked at my /3GB settings and decided to change the userva from 2900 to 3070, which I calculated that I could do (I think...). So, re-flew the flight again. All …

Gday,I loaded up FS9 earlier today, and made a couple of flights in the default C172. Everything worked fine.Later on, I loaded FS9 up again, and created a flight with the default C182.Now, however, from the 2D panel, when I try to look left and right, instead of seeing the 'virtual cockpit' and cabin views all i get is a fullscreen outside view, as if i had pressed W before I looked left and right.Basically, I can't see the inside (cabin) or outside (wings, tail etc) of my own aircraft from 2D panel view when i try to look left and right.Its really odd, because it was working fine in the morning, and I didn't change any settings or add any aircraft.I tried reloading my o…

I've unsuccesfully tried to install the ISD LIMJ scenery into FS9. The file was originally for FS2002 and ISD does provide a separate patch for FS9 compatibility, however, since I do not have FS2002, the installer can't find the path to FS2002 in my registry, and hence won't install the program. Is there any way I can open the contents (files) of the installer to manually place the files into FS9 or is there another workaround?ThanksChris

Hi everybody.I would like to know if you have any solution to this graphic problem:The problem is when I use Full Screen mode. The mouse pointer turns black, the screen when I select ALT menu or I would like to Show/Hide IVAP, appears for 1 second the loading FS screen or the last one I had, ( like Win desktop).I have reintalled Nvidia drivers, set a reset all display config without success.So if anybody know how to solve it please let me knowThank you

Hey guys,I have recently done a clean install of FS. Well, I was getting all my scenery put back in and then some afcads added. Well, I wanted to edit one so I downloaded the latest version of Afcad but now, upon opening, when I go to "Open" to open a file, the "Collecting Airports" box pops up and proceeds to load two bars and then the program freezes. Is something in my scenery.cfg out of whack and it causing it to fail? Any suggestions?Thanks,Danny

I have been spending lot of time to check if there is anything to my problem. I hope I can find here.Problem: When I fly through thick clouds wing view is visible. Visibility does not drop to hide the wings in clouds. If any one have solution please help me.Karl

Is there a thread on Avsim relating to what Microsoft states to be the max RAM, and GPU parameter for FS9 to function at optimal design performance?I see great threads on performance ranging from P4 CPU right up to i7 and RAM reports stating 2GB RAM max but I see many with 4GB and they say wonderful things about FS9...there has got to be a line for overkill somewhere with FS9?It would be interesting to read what you have learned over the last 5 years, and Happy New Year to you all at Avsim.Berne :( Im an XP HOME user.
