Hey guys,So being brand new to ADE and seeing that it does work a little differently I have a couple of quick questions. ADE appears to be a great program btw, a big thank you to the developers!So just a quick question, using the new Manchester X series as an example. If I open up the EGCC AF2.bgl in ADE and then just assign, CO and COA to gate 211 so they are always next to me when I park at 210 and do not touch anything else do I then re-save the file using the same file name (existing UK2000 file) or do I replace the existing file with the new ADE .BGL and leave them both? I assume not as two AF2 BGL's has always been a no no.For right now I have saved the ADE work a…

Hey guys,Just a question. Is there an effect for the dark shading under an airplane when its on the ground during daytime?

Does anyone know of a good airport snowplow vehicle that I can download from somewhere for FS9? I am toying with the idea of making a ground operations video and so far I have got a great pushback tug, airport bus and a fire truck but I'd also like to have runway snow clearence as well....As a '2nd best' option, is there a decent snowplow model knocking about that can be placed in scenery as a static object, for example with Runway12? The default ones are ok as long as you don't look at them for too long so...Cheers,Geoff

Good day everyone,I was granted permision from the miss' to purchase an add-on fr my fs9, im looking at a twin prop aircraft to add to my hanger. I really like the features on RC4 (Radar Contact 4). but it was really hard for me to find my way around the airport with no charts or the "pink brick road" as with Microsoft ATC. The problem has now been solved with a program named, DBS Airport GPS. It's a little program (payware, but cheap) that shows you a "magenta colored trail" to and from the active and or gates. It is viewed from above, like the overhead view that you get when you key, Ctrl/S. In fact they just came out with update 1.2 a few days ago that works even better and easier. Hey people, I am installling the HDE clouds and sky textures from Pablo Diaz. Do you guys have any suggestions as to which file you'd recommand for sun texture replacement?I saw there are a couple of files available in the library, but I'd like some advises.

I am about to purchase a new computer. I thought that I remembered reading that FS9 had some sort of limitation for the maximum amount of memory that it could use without having an issue. So my question is how much memory should I purchase? Also I believe that FS9 has no troubles with Windows 7, am I correct? No matter the computer or operating system I plan to stay with FS9 because of my investment in the product.ThanksTom

I started up FS9 this afternoon and after receiving the error message "Scenery read error. Attempting to open a nonexistent directory: Click ok to continue" my flight did load, but all the terrain was missing - just brown and grey patches instead of my nice ground textures. No AI traffic at any airports either. Very odd. And after half an hour very worrying as nothing I did corrected it. I spent ages searching on line, but couldn't find any references to this in FS9, just FSX, and no solutions to people's cries for help... Iam running squawk box 3 (SB3) and can somebody tell me how to find the, model textures so i can repaint them. Or can i atually paint them or will it mess them up?

Hi. This is a fine a/c and great panel. No doubt about that. But I have a couple of issues. Can anyone familiar with this plane please advise?It basically seems very underpowered during climb. Unless I climb at around 1000'/min (very shallow) the speed drops off even at full throttle (I have the Top Temp on to avoid engine shutdown). Is that normal? No dount I am ruiming the nicely set flight dynamics, but I have increased the jet engine thrust_scalar to 1.20, but I don't see a huge difference. Any comments?One other thing, just a question. If I start my take-off run with the Top Temp switches on, would I normally switch them off later? When? At cruise altitude or before …

Okay I'm having problems with no displays on my cockpit instruments? I've installed acft into fs9 atleast a couple hundred times so I have a grasp of how to do it. A great shame Canarysim (Project Canarias 2006) closed up before completing the westernmost islands (they didn't actually issue Fuerteventura or Lanzarote, did they? I've never located them, and the site closed down a couple of years ago now).Well, I still have the other islands on my FS9 setup, and they look great, as many of you will already know; but apart from GCLA, the airports themselves are very bare. Hi,I paid for Active Camera 2004 V2.1 on the 30th and mailed the user registration to the email address given. I haven't received my authorization key yet and haven't heard a word from them, even though the info given, states that I should receive the unlock key no later than the next day. Can they be trusted? Maybe I'm a little impatient but it irritates me that I pay for something and I can't use it.Thanks.

With that question I'm in the first hand thinking about flight modelling and system simulation and not eyecandy. Also the question is for a system that is not highend. My reason for asking is that I wonder if it's worthwile to spend money on more FS9 addons. Do I gain something with regard to realism if I spend the money on FSX instead? Assume we have Ultimate Terrain GEX GEPRo and ASA and like to use advanced addons. From what I have heard FSX is more realistic in these cases1) Better simulation of airmasses and turbulence. But my impression is that with ASA FS9 feels more like FSX. Or am I imagining thing. 2) Wet runways looks better in FSX but is it more realistic in s…

Over the years I have accumulated a serious amount of aircraft in my hanger. According to my mood I will often fly just one plane for months while the others sit unused. I was wondering if all this unused content has any effect on performance. In Microsoft Train Simulator, for example, the number of routes did have the effect of slowing things down a bit. Does anyone know if a similar thing happens with FS9?RegardsRoger

Hello,I've recently purchased a full set of Saitek controls for the FS2004 PMDG 737NG, control yoke and quadrant, rudder pedals and an extra quadrant.My intention is to use two throttle quadrants side by side to give me 6 levers for speed brake, thrust levers, engine start levers and flaps.I've sucessfully assigned the thrust levers and flap lever but I've not been able to assign the speed brake or engine start levers. I've tried both the FS and PMDG assignment processes.I'd also like to assign a button on the quadrant for TOGA but it appears that this can only be assigned to a keyboard button.Can anyone shed some light on this?Regards,Ian Kent
