Hello,For those that use the enbseries bloom effect in fs9 I have a question.What does "0" mean= does these mean off and 1 is on? example=EnableBloom=(0,1) Enables bloom effect, blurring bright screen areas and adding result back to screen, simulating illumination of some objects. It works very fast on modern hardware, but wrong setting or bad drivers will result in overbrighting or some other artifacts. Not uses HDR textures and that's why hardware compatibility is high.Also some settings go as high as 1000. example =EnvBumpOffset=(0..1000) Step for generating direction and amount of bump from car texture. A recent "problem" with AI aircraft brought an event that happened several years ago to memory.I was flying on autopilot from Dallas Love Field to Houston Hobby. In the distance I noticed a small speck on the screen (I didn't have AI identification text on at the time). At first, I thought it was some dirt on the monitor. As time progressed, it became larger and larger. Eventually, I was nose to nose with a 737......same altitude and exact reverse heading from mine.We hit head-on. Fortunately, there was no loss of life.......only loss of pride. I never even thought of a mid-air collision happening in the sim. I've been flying many years since and it's never happene…

Is it possible to update the Reality XP AIRAC Data Files for either the Reality XP purchased 430/530s add-ons or the Eaglesoft/Dreamfleet Reality XP 430/530s that was provided as a part of their GA models? I down loaded this cycles and loaded into the Dreamfleet A36 but it does not appear to have updated the aircrafts version of the reality XP 430.ThanksTom

Have just installed the Leonardo MADDOG PRO and I experience the problem with flickering switches. I have been at http://www.flythemaddog.com/support.phpand followed there suggestion to install the flickering fix file. In my case it does not help. I only have this problem in FS9 (not FSX) and in full screen mode.I have posted in the madddog support forum but see no reply there so I would like to ask here if anyone else is unable to fix this problem? I use Win 7 Home Prem x64 english version.

How do I create screenshots in FS9? A google search led me to a tread on another flightsim site which mentioned FScreen, but i can't find a download site for it

Is this correct?I have watched real world aircraft land many, many times and I have never seen this.The gear has always (I thought) been in a heel-toe position rather than the toe-heel shown in this Posky 767 aircraft.Any comments?

Hey guys,1) Since today, (I hadn't used FS9 for a while) when I load up the REX WX engine program, I get a firewall 2 warning, saying that I should allow my firewall full in/out access to rex. The thing is, I have never run FS with my firewall open, I always quit it first, and when I last used REX WX engine (about 3 weeks ago?) everything was ok.2) I must have changed a setting but I have a kind of fuzzy muck of textures when looking 2 nm or so from the plane (I think we call them blurries here). Hey, I've been changing the VC window tint on the carenado planes just fine, by editing the alpha channel in the reflections file. I now want to make the VC window ...'tintless' in the Feelthere ERJ version 2, but I have gone through all the .bmp files and none of them resemble the file type I'm used to editing for carenado planes. Can someone help me out on how I go about doing this?

Hi guysWith the winter olympics now in progress at Whistler, and myself hailing from Vancouver, I thought it would be a great idea to find some appropriate scenery to fly there. I found Franz Curda's ski resort scenery which really looks great, but requires a lot of EZ library downloads which don't seem to have been reinstated after AVSIM's unfortunate disaster and are still missing. I tried to email Franz at the address given in his posting, but it was returned "address unknown". HelloA friend of mine, who does not speak English, suffered a severe virus attack on his PC. I finally succeded to clean them all out and all is running well again - except FS9. I did a deep FS9-uninstall, down to the text level of the registry, all in vain. The problem is, that FS9 starts ok, I can do all the normal choices and start a flight, I take off, all is normal. But after about 5 minutes the panel freezes: all gauges, switches, knobs and buttons are frozen. The flight itself continuous normally. Hello all :-)I have a question, I already applied modification to fs9.exe using CFF explorer,enabling fs9.exe using more than 2gb RAM,it resulted by occasional g3d.dll errors and CTDs,so I also modified g3d.dll using CFF explorer, after some testing I don't experience CTDs ,does anybody have any experience modifying g3d.dll in CFF? I wonder if anyone else sometimes gets these annoying colour changes - one moment the sky is blue, 5 seconds later grey. Then 10 seconds (or so) later, back to blue. And so on. It seems to happen mostly on the ground, but I can't pin down a common factor. I have Active Sky 6 but closing it down doesn't stop the colours from changing. I have REX2 for FSX, and also GEX ,while the frame rates are reasonable for less complex aircraft,it chokes with the payware heavies.It is probably my rig which is an HP 8000n,with 4 gigs memory and a GE force GTS 250 OC 512 meg.My question is,I'm considering buying REX for FS9,until I can afford a better rig.Will I see better frame rates on FS9.Ron

can someone help me with a flight planning website.i have always used this site http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ to create a plan, and then I would paste the route into another website which would create a .pln file that FS9 could use.The second website I can no longer find ? Anyone know the proper technique for resizing the Cloud9 KLAX textures? I have the update but the thing still runs horribly. Can't believe I paid for this thing, but really there were no alternatives...I find the ramplights to be the worst framerate hog going, but unforntunately, unlike many, better sceneries, they are not a separate file I can delete.If I bring them into Photoshop, and just resize them to helf their size... I'll get problems won't I? Thanks...- daniel

On my addon aircraft (maybe the rest) my panel at night and during the day looks like its 16 bit even though my settings are all 32bit and Card settings maxed outAny ideas?Help would be much appreciated

I love REX, but so far with experimentation, I am still not happy with my dawn textures. I have been doing a lot of transatlantic eastbound flying lately and flying in over England at dawn for arrival at Gatwick/Heathrow/Stansted hasnt really looked like what I know it looks like from my own several trips to the UK for business. If any UK residents or European simmers have a REX 'recommendation' for a dawn texture that looks like Europe to you, I would appreciate the input. Im happy with my sky textures otherwise. edetroit I know has said he uses another 3rd party set of dawn textures. Im cool with a hybrid solution as well. I dont change these once I have them…

theres many ways to approach an airport, how do people do it in a simulator, do people normally approach w/FMC or fly headings that ATC provides? Meaning, people fly routes normally and then near airport, do they approach using FMC or disengage FMC and fly headings provided by ATC? im posting this because in FS9, you do not know the active runway, until ATC gives you the active ruways, therefore you have to change the arrival STAR which is not near anywhere you are or you have to fly headings.Getting to the point: I normally fly my route normally on the fmc, then once i approach the airport, i usually fly headings by ATC and land or sometimes fly with the FMC and land. is…

I just spend a most enjoyable hour or so flying from JFK to Boston at Dusk and wanted to share a bit of it with everyone.After taking off in my tweaked Boeing 737-400, I turned over the flight to FSNavigator and sat back in Spot view and watched the vast Metropolitan landscape unfold at Dusk. My plan kept me at a max, of 11,500 feet so I could see the houses all lit and the roadways etc. plus the many smaller airports. Fairly soon the stars began to appear too.All too soon the Boston scene came into view and I touched down rather well at KBOS.What better way to spend a little time just relaxing.

Hi guys,I'm struggling myself but I'm hoping that some of you aviation know-how's out there will be able to tell me where I can find detailed and complete V-speed data for the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar series (including the -1, -100, -200, -200F, -500 etc). I require them firstly for use with Rob Barendregt's rcbvs-24.zip, as well as for my own use when flying the excellent Aerosim L-1011. If any of you use Rob's excellent gauge you will know how detailed this data needs to be. :( Alternatively, is there a suitable v-speed calculator which will give me accurate v-speeds under any and every condition for this aircraft?
