Hi,I just got back into the sim world after quite some time. I decided to try the Sky Sim DC-9 -- which seems really nice. However, are there any programs to compliment the sim like the Coolsky Maddog/Greatest Airliners 727/Level D 767, etc. has already built in? For example the cold/dark start -- pax config/weight and balance/fuel loading, etc.?ThanksDave

Hi,I just set up my new computer and after reinstalling FS9 I have run into a major issue, that I can't seem to resolve:Instead of displaying the 2D panel my sim only displays a black rectangle covering the entire lower half of the screen. The 3D panel and all other views work fine. This occurs regardless of the panel/aircraft.I am suspecting that this may be an issue related to the graphics card, since the 2D panel does show up properly for a second or so, after hitting the alt key to bring up the FS menu bar. Maybe it is related to the resolution I'm driving (2560 x 1440)...I was wondering if someone else has encountered a similar issue? Any hints would be greatly appre…

Hi,Does anyone else experience a problem with Active Camera whereby after installing it, your FS9 goes very slow and stuttery, causing everything to sound like its underwater nearly? It doesn't happen straight away, usually a few seconds after I click on anything on the menu. I'm on Windows 7 64-Bit btw.Anyone any ideas?Cheers,Jim

Does anybody know of a land class product for FS9 that covers the whole of Europe, not matter if payware or freeware. I'm very satisfied with the FSGenesis US Land Class and I always thought they were offering one for Europe too, but they don't. SceneryTech only offers one for FSX.Wolfgang

You also have rights to ask the developer (Burkhard Renk) for My Traffic 2006 v4.1 for FS9I bought the FSX version two days ago..and just loaded the FS9 version. Wow...it sure blows PAI or WOAI out of the water for populating most all airports with realistic comings and going'sSome models are not as detailed visually as some P.A.I. or W.O.A.I., but....they do not impact FPS in any way. My copy of FS9 will not start due to a problem with the default flight's aircraft being corrupted. How do i change the default aircraft before FS9 starts, or failing that, get it to start with no default flight? i'm running XP. I read one post that said there was a way to start FS9 in safe mode, but couldn't find anything else on that. Any ideas?

I'm new to REX and so far I have been very impressed in the way the sim looks now. Only one thing.The process of changing the textures using the flight plan option takes about ten minutes - that is without counting in the time to page through the menus, initial load time of the REX interface, downloading current weather etc. I find that to be a little too long for convenience.It may not be a totally fair comparison, but ASGraphics (part of active sky) loaded new wx influenced textures in a fraction of that time, which was tolerable. Note that I use the lo-res texture option in REX.Thoughts? Is it normal that it takes that long?specs (five year old lo-end system)AMD3800+4G…

I purchased a copy of Ultimate Traffic for my install of FS9 but i have about 30 airlines installed with WOAI. I am assuming i should clean house of any other AI before installing UT.... the planes for certain but was not sure what sort of AFCAD WOAI installs..unfortunately i deleted the original installer for most of these WOAI airlines so cant use the built in function. my bad.can anyone advise what to remove from the WOAI files to make room for UT? i will keep digging on my own but wanted to ask for advice here too.

I am about at my wits ends and would appreciate any suggestions to this weird problem.The short version is...I am experiencing CTD's in the Northern hemisphere, ie, Dublin, Belfast, East and West Cost of the U.K.For example, depart EGAA to EGPH, get airborne, turn right to 060, then to 085, at 7K...CTD! Same thing if I head towards heading 125, with a left hand turn. All within 7 miles of EGAA.Another time I departed EHAM for EIDW...as soon as I got to the East cost of the U.K. bearing 185 I believe, I had a CTD. Hi all I wonder if someone can help.I have recently lost my FS9 trees. FS9 loads no problem. However when I fly I have no default FS9 trees. During night time flying I get a brief flash of boxes where the tree would be but no tree filling that box. Flying during the day there just aren't any trees at all, if that makes sense! I recently removed some software that I do not have backed up, stupid yes I know. Is there anyway of replacing the FS9 trees with the ones from the .CAB files or disks.Thanks for taking the time to read and thanks in advance.

I'm trying to install 747-400 for fs9, but every time the program tries to load i get an error saying fs9 installation route not found. I am running windows 7 any help would be great. thanks

I have the Algiers add on scenery made by Riad Ghenim and I have a real bad problem with the default textures bleeding throught the scenery. Does anyone know of a fix for this problem? I have his city of Algiers scenery installed also. It's a very nice scenery but the bleed through problems take away the enjoyment of the scenery. (The scenery is found on Flightsim algiers7.zip. It was found on avsim but it's gone since the hack.)

I (stupidly!) updated my nvidia card drivers to 196.21 and AA has stopped working again.I have nhancer. Have tried clean installs of nhancer and all the combinations of options, profile changing, etc that I can think of.Anyone else having the trouble with the latest drivers.

I am now getting a util.dll error everytime I shut down FS.9.1. The only thing I added was ENB HDR MOD which caused problems so I eliminated it. Has anyone ever encountered this. FS9 was until I added that MOD very stable. The airplane I have been flying the last couple of times was the PMDG MD11. Never had an issue with that airplane before. Just hoping someone has some advice that doeasnt require a reinstall of FS9Thanks

High frame rates, beautiful graphics, and tons of animation to boot. Not only do we get a fantastic version of the airport but we're also getting close to losing the copy protection scheme that was forced with Cloud9 and other products. Hi just for your information i have bought Wetter 2004 by Klaus pritchatz which i highly recommend. This software allows you to have random weather for the whole fs9 world without being online all with a click of the mouse. I have Thunder clouds at 38000 ft and several layers of clouds with random turbulance and visabilty on runways at a 1/4 of a mile or less. I depart say Heathrow in Sunny conditions and land in France in Rain. I know other weather applications are mentioned, but Wetter 2004 is never mentioned as it's an excellent weather engine which greatly enhances my fs9 flying. What ever happen to VOZ at Vista Australis? For FS9 they used to have a wonderful little forum with a lot of good information. Also, there VOZ scenery was outstanding.Tom

Just a question that I think I already know the answer to but would like confirmation if possible. I had a CTD after I installed my Reality XP WX500, (the older version), and FS9 threw a util.dll exception when it abended. I'm assuming that the util.dll is the controller or library for gauges but am not sure. Is there a way to correct ATIS reports so that they agree with the airport AFCAD? For instance at Cairo (HECA) I get an ATIS report that gives the active runway as 36. There is no runway 36 in my HECA scenery (3rd. party addon), nor in the FS9 default AFCAD come to that (AP956210.bgl): FSNavigator correctly shows Rwy 34, and FS9 ATC directs AI traffic to 34 too. So where would ATIS be getting 'Rwy36' from? Where is the file where the incorrect data is loading from?Thanks,Martin

Hi All,My friend has recently bought a new PC with Vista installed on it.When he tries to add "Ultimate Terrain Europe" scenery to his scenery library, it appears to have been added. But then as you are supposed to,when he re-boots his PC so that FS2004 can recognise the new scenery.....he finds that the newly added scenery has DISSAPPEARED from his Scenery Library !Can anyone help ?This problem is also occurring with Just Flight VFR Photographic Scenery Vols 2 and 3 only !My email addy for reply is [email protected] in advance !Derek

I've just d/l ExcBuilderV2.exe from here but when I went to run it I got a message that says I need the MSSTDFMT.DLL file to be installed first. I've searched the library without success. Where can I get it from?Thanks a bundle.
