Has anybody that has upgraded to the SP2 release for FS2004 REX been able to download the WAVE ANIMATION zip file the REX support forum under SERVICE PACKS? When I try, I only get another window of the same message, with no download mask of the zip file.Has anybody been succesful to download this zip?!?!?Mitch

I recently had a total windows system crash - fortunately maintaining most files on a D drive but have had to reinstall windows and FS9 and to get the sim back to its' highly tweaked state will take for ever!There are always so many shortcuts that are hard to remember!Can anyone remind me how to configure the Logitech mouse wheel to zoom the VC cockpit?? This was always a great asset for me but for the life of me I can't recall how I had set it up and none of the expected programming has workedThanks to anyone who has any suggestionsRichardCYHM

Hi all,Been away from this forum for a bit so do not know whether it has already been posted b4.Have just re-installed FS9+update and kept the old folders in a backup. Can anybody tell me where FS9 stores the keyboard settings. If there is a config file then I can just copy it into my new install, instead of configuring keyboard and joystick settings in the new install all over again. It is not the device.cfg.Thanks and cheersRichard

Well I was debating where to put this post. Hanger chat or FS9. Since I only use FS9 I felt this was where it should go. I currently use an old set of CH pedals that plug into the sound card. You know the connection I mean. Well almost everytime I fly the pedals need calibrating. I have had enough of this. I need a set of USE B or whatever it is called pedal that I can just plug in a fly. I don't want to set up pedals in FSUIPC. Well men, what are the best pedals out there? Money is an object but I have a hundred bucks or so. I already us a Saitek throttle and controller but won't use the twist rudder as it is junk.JimCYWG

Hi,This is, let's say, continuation of the topic I started a few days ago, however I don't think that someone would view the old one, so I started the new one :)I closed both sides of the runway 15R/33L and 15L/33R for landings and still the AI aicraft are landing at the runway... Is there a way to solve it?

HelloI'm considering to buy the Reality XP Garmin GNS 430W GPS for installing it on my Dreamfleet 727. I think it should work with the "AUX NAV" function of the DF 727 autopilot, but I want to be sure. Does anybody have experiences with installing the Reality XP Garmin 430W GPS on aircraft, or even on the DF 727?I was using the freeware Delco Carousel IV-A INS for some time, but I have to say that this thing is a pain. Alignment does not work properly most of the time. I think the Reality XP Garmin 430W would be a great (far better) solution.Thanks in advance for any advice.

What "zoom" magnification do you tend to use for your cockpit view outside to give you the most comfortable perspective for takeoff/landings and while at altitude? Been meaning to ask that for awhile.Mike

This is a fun aircraft to fly and I'm enjoying it after spending many hours flying the heavies. I have a question though. For the life of me I can't find a switch for the rotating beacon. Surely the aircraft must have one, but all I see are switches for Nav, Strobe, Landing Lights. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Which terrain setting controls the distance from your aircraft at altitude the ground detail is loaded. Currently, I have a small square of land detail around my plane. I know extending it out to far can affect performance, but would like to extend it more than it currently is. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello all.The question is really in the title. The backgound is that I have FSGlobal (mesh) and MS default coastlines (LWM) around most of the world. The problem I have is that there is a slight geographical offset between the two data sets which results in cliffs on one side of an island (or continent...) and a strip of extra (sea-level) ground on the opposite side.I've scanned through the documentation that comes with the terrain SDK and have reached an impasse... do I really need to learn to program in C before I can alter the LWM on a coastline?Does anyone know of an easy (GUI & FSUIPC in my dreams) utility for shifting the boundary between the land & sea so t…

I applied all the tweeks but there was some confusion about something concerning Terrain bandwith or texture size or something like that. Can someone give me a link to these tweeks that were posted? INSTANT SCENERY or EZ scenery? :( What is the main differance between the two? I have ez scenery already. Can instant scenery use all objects in scenery flies? I know ez scenery, it was limited to a certain area.

Hi,I would like to know if someone else on this forum has encountered the same problem as I do with the PMDG 737 starting to flashing white.What I do is that I select the PMDG 737 aircraft in the menu and load it so that I see my plane on the ground on the airport. I just want to make it a point to thank the talented artist Pablo Diaz for his dedication to simply enhancing FS9 with his FREE releases of HDE. If you haven't tried them, take a look because these are STUNNING sky scapes rendered in photorealistic splendor and really transform FS9 into the FS v9.8 that we all hold onto dearly.I make this point because Mr Diaz could easily package this up and sell it for a fee, but he does not. I use Track IR :( although, I am loooking for a camera effect that gives the illusion that the aircraft is shaking :( while rolling on the ground in VC mode. Can walk and follow or Active camera give me this effect?I know :( Ariane Design 737 can do this without any programs.

It seems we have another developer that's went FSX only. CLS has decided to make their latest MD80 FSX only. You have pretty much bet the course of future development from this company. There goes my hopes of an updated A310 from them for FS9... :( Like what was said before, be happy with what's offered today for FS9 because the future is looking bleaker and bleaker... :(

I downloaded the trial version of fsdreamteam honolulu for fs 9, and used the batch file the post to resize the texture files and still have terrible stuttering, although the frame rates are not that bad. Using with PMDG 747. Turning down autogen etc does not help. Als lots of shimmering as well.Before deciding whether not to purchase the full version I was wondering if anyone with an older single core processor like mine [3.6 GHZ]had any luck with this or the older KLAX scenery package.I have the Portland Oregon airport package from another vendor and have no issues at all.Greg

Hey guys,I know avsim had a few A380 engine sound packs here somewhere long time ago and I've heard that it crashed and pretty much lost most of its awesome files.If anyone could re-upload the A380 RR Trent 900 sound package, or any realistic A380 engine sounds, I would be grateful :( Ive spent a great deal of time searching for these files only to find a dead end on every site. It would be nice if someone could revive those sweet awesome sounds of the A380.

Am trying to locate a sound file I once downloaded here that provided ambient sounds in the cockpit. These were rattling, squeaking bumping sounds that added quite a bit. Have done a search but without success. Do not remember the name of the file. Maybe someone here remembers. Thanks in advance.
