Hello AllIf I enable AA in FS9 I can see its effects quite clearly when I use the sim i.e. saw edged wings and things nicely smoothed out etc.however the price for this is a performance hit of course.I know it is common knowledge that you should set AA in your GCard rather than in the sim,so I thought I would try this to see how it compares to FSs own.My Gcard is an Nvidea Gforce6600.When i select AA in the Gcard settings (there are various levels of AA you can choose from)I am pretty sure when I next run my sim nothing is happening I.E. i still get saw edged wings and things.So am I missing something?PS i wish i could use AA all the time as it really smooths out the rou…

Hello all,This week has been nothing but tweaking and frustration for me with FSX and now it seems this has spread to my previously reliable FS9. Last weekend I installed Win7 and doubled my RAM. I decided to try a flight in FS9 last night since, even with the magic bullet tweak recently discovered, I'm fed up with stutters in FSX. Upon even loading the default flight I was shocked to see FS9 only getting 15 FPS in windowed mode. This used to easily be maxed out at 100. I enjoy flying in windowed mode so I can run VATSIM and chart software while multitasking. I've experimented with window sizing only to discover the behavior seen by others that if FS touches the task…

I've been trying to get this to work with no luck. FS9 refuses to start with it installed saying that the DirectX version is incompatible. I've installed the latest DX9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) and updated my vcard drivers. I've put the bloom dll in the FS9 folder. Am I missing something?Thanks

Hi there,I have recently created some AI flight plans using ai flight plan editor. I compile the file to FS9/senery/world/scenery. I go to ttools and compile the flight plans there, when i go to start i type in airports_EGBB and nothing comes up, so I decide to press compile. The file then deletes itself from the FS9/senery/world/scenery. Have you any ideas on this as it worked perfectly on my old pc :(thanks in advance planenutter

I bought Overland Airbus series last night and I was amazed by the quality of the repaints and the aircraft, but I soon found a problem, I was flying an airbus 340-600 and when I listened to the sound, it sounded like the basic cessna sound :( Does anyone know where I can fix this problem?Thanks a lotplanenutter

I'm considering purchasing Megascenery SOCAL for FS9. I've got megacity Dallas and Atlanta, and Megascenery Mid-Atlantic, which are pretty nice, however, Megascenery Mid-atlantic usually is blurry--at least with winter texturs (given the fact I was flying airliners vice slow speed VFR). Mid Atlantic gives the user the option to allow the program to "modify" scenery/display settings in order to maximize texture build/clarity--I elected not to use this option because of optimized GE Pro and UT/FSGenesis settings.My question is--does Megascenery SOCAL v2 suffer from the blurries when flying more than let's say 200kias? Also, does it also come with a user option for scener…

If you set a route on the mirage FMC, will it show up on the GPS or MFD of some panels? Ie The EMB 120 panel? Hi everyone! I was wondering if there was a way to set up different control profiles for individual aircraft in FS2004 (i.e. making a separate control profile for a C172 and a 737). Also, which file in the FS9 folder has the control assignments? Maybe I can just swap that file every time I fiy a different aircraft if there is no way to set different controls for individual aircraft. Thanks in advance for the help. :(

Hi everyone. I'm currently using FS2004, and find it extremely difficult to tell when I've landed, especially when flying helicopters or landing at very low vertical speeds (low approach angle, low pitch when landing etc.). I was wondering if there was a way to make FS notify me when I've landed, similar to the message that pops up on the bottom left when the brakes are on or you're stalling/overspeed. A downloadable utility would be nice, but maybe there is a way to modify some of the files in the FS9 folder to make the message show up. Thanks in advance for the help.

Well the title says it all. Can an AI aircraft for CFS be used as AI traffic in FS9? The reason that I'm asking is that I cannot seem to find an AI P-51 for FS9. So, if anyone out there knows of one, (did I miss it again?), please let me know where to find it and thanks!Mark

I recently returned to fs9 from fsx after much skepticism, I then installed the Antilles group scenery (Antilles 2004) because the default airports in the Caribbean in general are crap lol. So whenever I fly around the islands that the scenery has modified fs9 crashes at no specific moment. Anyone with a solution?? Thanks in AdvanceAnderson

Boy, I'm having a BAD day. I've spent most of the day trying to figure out how to correctly program the FMS in my newly acquired Citation X v2. I tried to run thru the "FMS Quick Start Guide" but got stuck ,then spent the last 5 hours trying to get the "sample" flight from KLAS to KLAX programed. They do say that to do this I should already know how to program the FMS/FMC ,which I don't. Trying to go step by step, "monkey see monkey do" did NOT work for me because they left OUT some steps which I guess they thought that I knew, but didn't. I have both ISD Rome scenery installed and Napulevola's Naples scenery installed. In both sceneries it says to replace the AP951170.BGL with one provided. Now I and not sure which one to use. The Naples scenery has a file named AP951170_LIRF2005_org.BGL in a backup folder. So now I am a little confussed.The Rome scenery can be found at flightsim and the Naples scenery can be found here in the library.
