Maybe you know maybe you don't, bat there is many VACC, that perform live coverage of your flight, via live stream. And you have to be online on VATSIM or IVAO. So I have changed all my settings in Nhancer 100 times over, reset drivers, sweeped old ones, changd the settings within FS9 and the cfg file but nothing I do removes ALL shimmering in FS9. I still get slight shimmering of some textures and very detailed 3D structures.....for example, departing KSEA on the Northerly runway I see the aerials atop the smaller tower shimmering and likewise, the masts which are just north of downtown Seattle and are visible as soon as you are airborne shimmer in the distance. Another good example are the red cranes in Seattle docks which shimmer when I'm about 1-2nm north of KSEA.I've read many posts about shimmering and have tried them all b…

For several years I was able to pick up tips from the Avsim forum and change settings in various .cfg files to modify how my planes flew. Now, for some reason, I can get into the MS flight sim files in the program files section off the C: drive but when I try to open a particular .cfg file a window comes up asking me what program I want to use to open the file. I don't know what program(s) opens the .cfg files. Can anyone tell me what to do here so I can again add some of the modifications that were so helpful with my old Win 98SE system?Buzz Jameson

Hi, All.Has anyone seen this before? I'm using the Aeroworx B200 or the Captain Sim C130 in FS2004 with a CH Control Yoke and Throttle. I currently have Throttles 1 and 2 set for Throttle, 3 and 4 set for Propeller and 5 and 6 set for Condition Levers. The controls are setup with CH Control Manager and I've set up the mappings in FSUIPC, and I've got the condition levers set so full rear is fuel cutoff, just above the detent is Low Idle and full forward is High Idle. All is well in 2D and VC, until I bring the condition lever up to Low Idle. At that point I see the windshield wipers quickly twitch for a quick moment and then any attempts to pan in VC result in a stutte…

I am rebuilding my FS9 Program on a new computer that is running Windows 7 Pro64. I have reloaded a number of my Carenado aircraft and they are operating correctly. The original Carenado MJ20 package came with a small radio bug and a patch was provided to the user community within days. After flying a test flight with the MJ20 I realized that I needed to load the patch. I have the patch but I can not see the Carenado aircraft listed in my FS9 aircraft folder. Since the aircraft all work, the files must be invisible or hidden. How do I show the aircraft? Also, I can not modify any of the aircraft.cfg files directly. I need to take the config files to a temp folder, …

Hello everybody!!!Have a problem with X52 Pro Interface on Windows 7/64. It doesn`t automatically start

I installed the recently released KBWI v2.1 by Matthew Perry and Joshua Broadwater. I am having some problems with aircraft parking. I have checked for duplicate AFCADs and still have problems with aircraft not parking at the gates (or even partially in some buildings). In addition, I seem to have a missing apron around one of the terminals (see attached picture).I have CLOUD 9's KDCA (Reagan) airport installed along with MegaScenery's Mid-Atlantic photorealistic scenery.I'm kinda stumped as I had the same problem with version 2.Can anyone help?gwillmot

Ok, sorry folks. I am not familiar with how to post and have had to resort to HTML stuff. Ok, my problem/s: Originally I had a MS sidewinder 2 joystick. All was working. Machine died and I re-built it. Alas the joystick was the cause of problems, so I bought a new Saitek one - USB as well. Machine started working again. Now, I have this probelm that I am using FSUIPC and I am using it to do the control axis... But I think it is causing problems. On a single engine plane, I think it is all ok, as I have flown a small plane ok. But then I wanted to do a twin prop. This is probably a dumb question but I have always used the true heading of a runway on the VOR1 rotating course card. Is that correct or should I be using a runways magnetic heading? Please advise and thanks!Mark

I have found that most/all of the Dreamfeet aircraft, the Flight 1 Commander 112, andthe Aerosoft DO-27 aircraft do not work properly with Windows 7 Pro64. Before I begin their re-installation, can anybody tell what my chances of successfully loading the PMDG 747, the Level-D 767, and Wicos 737 PC and their Embraer aircraft?Tom

Hi all,I am wondering if I can change the AI lights turn on time. The default turn on time is about 15 mins before departure, I want to change it to about 1 hr. I just don't wanna see deadly dark airports at night.Thanks.

Hi all.I just bought a new headset Sennheiser PC350 as I am planning to add IYP. The problem I have is that the MS Voice Recognition keeps telling me it can't hear me lol. My sound at present is integrated on motherboard. I am thinking maybe I should go out and purchase a sound card. Anyone know what I should buy???. My MB is an ASUS P5K. I would like to spend no more than $150 if possible. Oh and sound quality not Heavy Metal is my priority I already have a bad enough hearing loss lol. Thanks in advance..........John :(

The text size in the navlog is too large to see the complete flight plan.Is there a way to make the text smaller?

Rebuilding my computer. FlightSim Manager was a freeware program provide to the community but was later abandon. I remember that there was a patch provided that reset its system clock. Anybody know where I can find that patch?Tom

Dear Simmers,Good morning.I was wondering about this million dollar question,but honestly i'm really confused. Shall I lock my fps or I leave them unlimited? What's the best solution t redure stuters?! Currently mine are locked at 60 fps,( in certin airports i See around 20 fps) but sometimes I leave them unlimited and it goes over 80 fps especially when I'm criusing.My specs are Intel core2Quad 2.66, 4GB RAM, BFG GE-FORCE 8800 GTX OC2,WD 150 GB.I'll leave it up to you guys :)Regards,Justin

Only in FS9 do I find that my mouse pointer shows in black. This is a real problem when flying at night and trying to manipulate the switches. Any idea how to get it to show as white? Thanks.

I know, stupid me. I just got so carried away with installing AI packs that I over-looked the fact that America West doesn't have a/c all painted up in those nice colors since US Airways absorption.I installed the America West pack with the PAI Installer so now I want to go back in so that all of the America West planes and flightplans for them are kaput. Whats the best way to go aout this so I don't get errors later? I wish the plane packs from WOAI and PAI had an un-installer for situations like this that with one or two mouse clicks could delete out an entire airline (planes, textures and flightplan).Too bad. Hi all!I don't know how to start the engines of the great Tupolev Tu-144D v1.11 by Nikita Konstantinov, Mihail Mitin, Thomas Ruth and Claudio Messmer (this one on AVSIM.ru - don't have it? Get it!). :( There seems to be a good flight manual included but I don't speak Russian... :( I already tried Google translator but it didn't help much. :( It would be great if someone who speaks Russian could translate the engine start procedure and post it here (please also put a screenshot to show the switches you're talking about).
