Oh boy...I've got the AIRBUS itch again and I'm considering the purchase of the Wilco AIRBUS vol. 1, but seem to recall it not being able to work with a 64bit system. Is this true? Anybody out there been able to use the two with any success? Thanks in advance.Robert

Very recently I started to get CTDs. It doesn't happen all the time and it is not plane specific. Normally CTDs about 5 - 15 mins into the flight, around KSEA and KJFK so it's not just one area. Does this sound like it's related to corrupted AI textures? What would be your first suspect?Is there a tool that can scan corrupted files? How do you track down a corrupted texture file?Thanks in advance.

It MUST be said that if the FEELTHERE ERJ v2 is a prelude of things to come from that company, they have hit the nail right on the head and need to continue along this path. They have hit the ball out of the park with this aircraft, it is a joy to fly, a complex flyer's dream with all the bells and whistles befitting a "PIC" moniker. Not to mention 3 models each with their own personality and characteristicsEverything, from the systems to the cockpit night lighting gives me goosebumps. I live and am now flying quite a bit in Brasil, but of course Brasil in FS looks like anywhere else.I have the Euro textures but have to admit that they dont seem that much different from FS. Seeing as FSScene doesnt have country-specific screenshots available - which really it ought to have - I would be very grateful if anybody who has the South America textures installed could post or send me screeshots.Thank youNicholas

I just purchased Overland Incheon airport from simmarket. I am unable to understand the directions given in the read me. I have successfully installed it into the fs9 root folder It says to run "setuptool" which I don't understand. It is not a typical install. does anyone have an easier way of explaining the install process? Thanks Doug Morlan

It took me a dozen tries to get a landing right here tonight. Definitely one case where I would not want the fantasy of my real-world pilots passing out and me, as passenger, landing the plane myself, to come true! A few years back I flew out of this airport (but not into - vaguely planned for later this summer - hence my FS previews), and the FS9 scenery is pretty spectacular too, with clouds rolling across the airport and mountains all around ..Has anyone found the best way of touching down here? LSZH-SBGL in a payware MD11: TOGW is 615.7, 218 of which is fuel: I have filed FL350.My FMC tells me that my Max FL will be 325 but I know that that will rise as I lose fuel. However, approaching the bottom end of Spain my "Opt" is still only 315 and Max 335. Surely I should be higher by now? In the World Air Routes brilliant MD11 Swiss video on the same route they climb to their filed FL as soon as possoble. So, is this a carrier thing - burn expensive fuel early climbing heavily laden to the filed FL in order to save expensive fuel later by being high? ThanksNicholas

I've bought a few aircrafts for fs2004, but the problem I always have is they kill my framerate pretty bad. Do you guys have any recommendations for framerate friendly aircraft, which are fun to fly? Preferably freeware? Even just higher resolution VC textures for the original aircraft would be fine with me.Thanks

Like everyone else I'm always trying to improve my Flight Sim ( FS 2004), but this latest "up version" has proved too much for me. I tried for a couple weeks to program the FMS (with I'm told was the MAIN reason to "up-version" from V1 to V2), hold a constant speed and to fly a GPS track line. ( I put a Garmin 500 GPS into the v2). With v2 I couldn't do any of those, BUT with v1 I can and do, do ALL of those. I know they improved to v2 for certain people that wanted a higher level of realism, but it was just too much for me. Hi everyone,I hope all is well, long time no talk... I have a quick question I am hoping someone can assist with. I have downloaded a repaint from Avsim by Max Hergemoeller named lds763_swissair.zip yet I am having one problem. The fanblades of the engine are bright red. It appears this only happens when the engines are shut down. When the engines are running I see the normal textures. I have downloaded the repaint tutorial and I have tried to locate the file I would need to modify but alas I have had no luck. I have also reached out to the original author but have not heard back so I thought I would take my issue to the experts. Any ideas within Level-D what file …

I thought long and hard about this post because I didn't want to stifle work done in support of our user community. However, I think that the discussion of issues can have a positive effect.What I'm referring to are the errors cropping up in flightplans posted on this site. There have been quite a number of FPs released lately that have errors in them (some of them major). I am reinstalling FS9 on a new computer that has Windows 7 Pro64 as its OS. I have found that some of my favorite models will no longer run under this environment,but overall the update computer & FS9 is a major WOW. I am now about to reinstall the BluePrint KMSP scenery. My questions are:- Will the KMSP scernery run in this environment? I read somewhere in a forum that one of the versions of KMSP did not run properly (I think is was Imagesim Version).- I am trying to locate my old copy of KMSP. I found a number of elements of the program, the manual, patches etc., and a .MSI file. Is the MSI file the executable file?ThanksTom

I've really taken a shine to the Wilco/Feelthere EMB-135BJ and was wondering if anyone is aware of a decent Gulfstream 5 for FS9? The EMB just doesn't have the range to get me from KADS to EGLL, but apparently the G5 does. I have the PMDG 737 series with the BJ liveries, but I'd rather have something smaller with the range rather than larger.I've tried the Eaglesoft Citation X, but since it likes to crash on me at the most inopportune times, I've decided to ditch that.Thoughts?

Does the reality XP GNS act as a replacement for the fs9 GPS...therefore if it does, if i program a route on it will it show up on the MFDs of some panels ie EMB120 panel from www.flightsim.com (see link on other about Mirage FMC) and ken mitchell's Airbus panels etc (which show the route to the waypoint that you have set in the normal GPS etc). If this is so then it would be awesome, since with the reality GNS's I can fly turboprops with MFDs but no FMCs etc (so I can fly SID and STARs etc for virtual airlines etc, just makes it more real). Is this the same for vaasFMC or do you need the vas's MFD to show the route programmed on the vasFMC?Cheers, a straight forward answ…

Now that the dust has settled could I ask for your opinions on the Airsimmer A320? I am interested in buying this product and understand that this is just a watered down version of a much more complete product that will be released in the future - thats ok as I'm not really into systems simulation that much.Compared to Quality Wings 757 (which I own and love) would I find it disappointing?I would very much like your opinionsThanksJack

other than the freeware scenery offered here at AVSIM, is there any good looking Newark scenery? like something payware?

Is there a way I can alter the original AFCAD without messing up the scenery? I tried to fix up the AFCAD but after I did I got the default textures bleeding through the scenery.

I have several large general aviation fields that even with the General Aviation AI program still look rather bare. I know there is AirTrafficFX for FSX that provides localised AI but are there any similar programs for fs9? If not what traffic creating program would be a decent alternative for creating my own traffic?Cheers, Alex

Hey!I have an airport EBLG where in reality is a regular liner runway and a separate helicopter base. I'm still using FS2004 and Afcad2.In the helicopter part of the Afcad that I use for AI flights I have built a separate runway for the helicopters. There is no other possibility than having part of the taxiways of the regular airport available for the helicopters as well, or I should redesign the whole airport.My question comes now: how can I make the helicopters only use the runway for them, and the liners use the regular runway but not the one for the helicopters?I can send the scenery and the afcad for as far as I have them now. I have FS9 and FSX installed on the same PC. Was just wondering if there was anything stopping me from copying the mesh files from the FSX folder to the FS9 folder, thereby achieving a quick and easy update to the FS9 mesh?Thanks for any repliesNialloc

I am having problems linking up my 2nd set of levers. The first set that came with the pro flight yoke works just fine. The 2nd set came with a s-video type connector not usb. I am try to get it to work for MSFS2004 King Air b200. green light is on but no inputs what so ever are being transmitted. I am not ever able to assign buttons on that one. any suggestion would help.Thanks
