Hi all, This is my first post here, so I hope im in the right section :-)I am going crazy with my fs9 setup.I have recently started flying more seriously, and thus I have also invested in a number of add-on scenery :(However, a lot of those are not showing up in fs9, which frankly makes me go crazy.Most of the stuff works just fine, however, almost all of my airports do not work. They show up in sf9 without buildings. Basically just a large empty field with some scattered buildings and gates. Terminal procedures from cycle 1005 for the US, UK, Scotland, Ireland and a few others are available now for download. I know there is a utility to add waypoints to FS9 but my problem is that it is difficult to check whether or not a facility exists in the FS9 database. Is there a way of creating a list of waypoints?vololiberista

Hi, I'm looking to improve my flight sim experience by adding new scenery. I mainly fly in the uk and Europe. What would be the best add on scenery to buy? Fs global? Ultimate terrain? There are so many to choose from! Regardsirv320

Just wondering what some of you folks with more knowledge of this stuff might think of this. I know FS9 doesn't take advantage of multiple cores so I'm thinking it wouldn't be a bad idea to set the affinity (in task manager) to a core other than core 0 - which I assume would be the one mostly controlling the OS. I've got a win7 laptop with an I7 processor so theres a lot of cpu horsepower thats just sitting idle while FS9 is running. I also set the affinity on d3doverider and Fraps to a seperate core other than the one FS9 is set to. It actually does seem to have dramatically improved the smoothness of Fraps vid caps...

Thanks in advance for anyones help.I recently upgraded my hardrive to a newer one. I cloned the old harddrive to the new one. Everything seemed to be running fine until today. FS9 every few minutes will freeze then will unfreeze. Sometimes I also get weird and distorted graphics (see pic). I thought maybe it was a graphics driver problem so I un-installed to driver then re-installed it. Still no go. Any ideas? Thanks.

I have both the PSS A330 and 340 panels, one thing i would like to adress is the FMC and how the plane turns when it goes to a specific waypoint, the turn is not smooth and gradual, its very steep and hard once it hits a waypoint to go to another. Is there a fix for this since there are some cases where im a doing an approach and it does not turn until it hits that waypoint and it does a very hard turn which can affect the approach ILS. So is there anyway to improve the flight dynamics of this panel, i use it with Overland. I used to use w/CLS but its the same w/every A/C.

Just wanted to say with the latest SP Contrails Pro adds allot to FS9. The improvements made to the latest version has made this a painless and satisfying add-on to have.

Am I correct in thinking that if I hit F2 once, i get idle reverse thrust, and then if I hit F2 again, it's increased to low reverse thrust, and so on and so on? I think that's what's happening but I'd like to confirm.thanks

Hi all,As you see from the title, I have a problem with ILS landings! I'm new to ILS landinga so I want an opinion on my problem. I know how to do a ILS landing, I've read/watched all the tutorials on how to ILS land and stuff, but I still have a problem. Ok, the problem is that when I get to the glideslope or localizer area ,and have already actuvated NAV1, I now activate Approach on the AP( I know how to use APs in FS), and instead of my plane aligning, my plane jerks unusually up and eventually stalls and collapses to the ground. My other problem with the ILS landings is that sometimes ATC tell me to descend(for example) from FL180 to 6000ft. I go ahead and do that and…

I was thinking of purchasing this program but had a few questions first for anyone using it.I'm using ActiveSky 6.5, and Ground Environment Pro.The main selling point for me is how it handles IFR/IMC. I'm very unhappy with the way ActiveSky 6.5 depicts IMC conditions. I'm aware of the limitations of getting a good, solid overcast layer but I'm wanting the ability to "fly into" low weather and visibility. Am I able to fly into the clouds with this program without them just moving and twirling all around me. I have installed LAGO MADDOG MD80 but after this i cannot play with FS2004.I have removed, but after the forst step, the download before flying stops at 1%.Can you helpe me?

Dear All,I hope one of you can help me with this problem. Today when I started FS9 with an add on scenery of KPWT, the additional trees were white blocks, and didn't disappear.Also other add on airports sceneries had no trees, only the defaults.This problem never happend before.I deleted some planes before I started FS9, but no scenery files, as far as I know.Thank you in advance for your help.Kind regards,Robinho

I can not figgure this out from the info on the Active Sky site. Is this correct...... You can get a free "update" going from ASA to ASE but you can not get a free update going from AS6.5 to ASE? Is this right? jerrycwo4

in my five years of simming I have never been abroad, Ive flown in north america exclusively. I am looking at taking my level d 767 into the eastern continents. Not having been anywhere other than NA, i need suggestions for flight, I would like to use the newly downloaded dragon9 kai tak, although not installed yet, And im looking for flight time around 1-2 hours or so. Al Sibley of Flight Ontario will be releasing CYDF Deer Lake .The scenery was designed for FS9. Expect to see it available for download Saturday May 1st. A version for FSX will be released some thine late spring. Deer Lake Regional Airport is the main airport on the west coast of the island portion of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.The scenery will be devided into 3 sections, a main EXE for basic P4 PCs.This will give you the basic airport and all buildings minus frame killing detail. Hey everybody I an aircraft or two that (while on the ground) seem to have an idle that makes them creep forward. Keep in mind that these are NOT prop planes, they are jets. so their aircraft.cfg doesn't have the whole idle_rpm_mechanical_efficiency_scalar and the idle_rpm_friction_scalar that makes it so easy to fix in prop planes. Also I have 1 jet in particular that while decending with engines set to idle, it has the most horrible time slowing down. In fact, if I decend faster than 1500-1800 fpm it begins to actually PICK UP speed. I'm somewhat ok with the decent problem because thats what they make those bleedoff loops in the sky for right? I have just downloaded this sound file for the Rolls Royce engines for the B747, and I have the following problems.First of all there is a lot of crackle in the background like an annoying ticking which i cant get rid of. Second, My Saitek Throttle quadrant wont work when I use the TSS sounds. When I revert to another aircraft that doesnt use these sounds the quadrant is fine. I have to use the F2 F3 F4 commands to control the throttle.I am flying the PMDG B744 for FS9.Can anybody help please?, many thanks,Best Regards,Chris EGBB
