Hello,For the past year I have been mostly flying PMDG 744. I decided to join a virtual airline, in which I started usingdefault panels with the downloaded aircraft.Since joining, I've downloaded all kinds of other panels. My problem is when doing an ILS approach the localizer does not show up on the PFD but I do get the glideslope. I have a feeling when I was messing around with freeware panels I might have overwritten a file. I can't for the life of me figure out which down load it was. I've noticed it doesn't matter which default panel it is.I'm using FS9.Thanks for any advice

Hello. i've been kicking this idea around in my head for quite some time now, and i decided this would be the best place to express this idea. So, i like to play FS9, it's pretty fun. But i'm just getting sort of tired of flying. I mean it's such a cool environment with all the addons available, but I wanted something new. So while i was flying, i was thinking, why not try vatsim ATC? So i tried. But i just find it to be a bit...childish. I really don't know, but i just can't get into it. It's not that frequent. Good day!!!-I have download the a gauge that adds altitude callouts!and i managed to install it with a777-200ER Posky aircraftbut during approach and final idon't hear them all.Example:one time i hear 500-100-40and another i hear only 50-10what would be the reason for this trouble?the gauge is "FPDA_Boeing_Callout"Thank you!! :(

I have a super ASUS 22" monitor with an Nvidia 8800 Ultra. But I find the 75 Hz refresh at 800 x 600 rate is too low for my eyes. When I fly in FS9 to a higher resolution the refesh rates drops to 60 hz. A year or so ago there was a super program that allowed you to increase the refresh artes to 85 Hz which was brilliant.Anyone any idea;s how I can increase the refresh rate to 85 hz?Thank you very muchBest Regards,Chris EGBB

Is there an alternate FDE for the Samdim An-72? The one that comes with the aircraft seems to have problems. The plane almost seems to want to tip over when turning during taxi and at cruise altitude it onlt seems to get to about M0.42.

HiI bought a new 24" monitor and I can now set the resolution at 1960x1080.So far, I had a 19" inch and was at max 1280x1024.Two times, I was spotting a/c with the spot view and with no apparent reason, FS9 quit. No CTD, no nothing, just the window closed and back to desktop. I don't remember this happen two times in a row before. Two different places, of course.My videocard is a 8800GTS. After 22 years of serious flight simming, and many computer software and hardware upgrades to increase realism as much as possible in my desktop sim, I have finally decided to pursue my private pilot ticket. HiTried doing a forum search but no joy. I'm having an issue where certain parts of Autogen are disappearing after FS9 has been running for a while, with complex addons. I think this must be something to do with memory usage as once FS9 is restarted the autogen reappears again. I attach two pictures taken from roughly the same spot to demonstrate what I mean. okay so ive recently got the pmdg 747-400 queen of the skies and for some reason when i use the hat of my joystick to turn around and look in different views of the plane it doesnt work. when i try to use the brakes it doesnt work, when i put the throttle to full power nothing happens, when i try to use the spoilers or enable them nothing happens(with the joystick),when i try to use reverse thrust it doesnt work, so the whole joystick doesnt work i dont know why because when i use other default planes or planes that are just freeware the joystick always works except for the pmdg 747-400, please help me because i just baught it and i baught fly tampa vienna. :(

It doesn't take a rocket scienist to know that fs9 is not :( "dead".Take a look for yourself :( at the avsim file library.Fact, still to this day FS9 has the most uploaded files by people taking out time of their lives to create for this great sim.Fact, still to this day FS9 has the most Downloaded files.Fact, still to this day FS9 is the most focused on in files this month apirl 2010.Fact ,still to this day FS9 is the most focused on this year in the file library and for the last 6 years.I know for a fact fs9 is not dead.Fact ,other microsoft sim versions did die out shortly after the release of newer version ,but clearly that is not the case for FS9.

After installing the Norway Airports package of 55 airports or so I went to start up FS2004 and I got two messages saying that my scenery.cfg and terrain.cfg are missing. I went and checked and sure enough they're gone. I took the two files from the disks they install from and placed them in the folder after deleting any old scenery.cfg's that were hanging around from sceneries that created backups. I also deleted SceneryStatus.DAT according to another post. Still no luck. Any help out there?

I recently bought a new PC capable of high graphic performance, and I would like to try some flight simulators to determine the best one to fly over my city.I have full versions of FS2004 and XPlane7, and demo of Xplane 9 and FSX.Is FS2004 able to use 3d terrain scenarios? FSX looks very good, but I can't understand if I can use same scenarios with FS2004. If yes, where can I download italian scenery from?And what about xplane7? It appears very poor compared to XP9, having just a nevernding flat world! Can it be "upgraded" to 3d world? And, again, where to download italian scenery from?

I thought that I had soved this problem some time ago with the help of others on this forum,but Ive notWhen flying over the last few occasions, and after about 45 mins with no issues the sim stops, black screen and the scenery reload starts as if from scratch.When this is done Im at the same location as when this happend and im surrounded by AI 20- 30 planes.The Tacs screen shows AI popping up over about a 20 mile radius.I fly through them for about 10 mins and then everything settels down to normal.I tried AI seperation today but the same thing happend.I did notice that on the FMC the time went back 1 hour after the reload. ie from 9000z to 8000z?I use ASv6.5 weather eng…

Dear Simmers,After posting some topics here and reading for the past 5 days I finally managed to get Fs9 in full screen mode with Squawkbox running ( without being visible in the main fs window)Basically what I did, is that I runned SB4 along with fs9 in windowed mode,connected online, then simply clicked first on the window of SB, afterwards the main header of the title menu of fs,then clicked again the SB menu ( the top of of the menu basically where ther is the header) and pressed alt + enter. That's allI didn't install Nhancer,but simply using the AA of fs9 along with some settings from the NVIDIA control panel.I thought I should share this with you all.Thanks for all…
