Good morning to you from Central Coast CA:I recently saw something (I think in AVSIM?) about a product (free or payware?) that will fix/remove the plateaus that many of the airports are on. It explained that MSFS has all runways level (though they aren't that way in real life) and that is why the plateaus are there ...to place the airports in scenery that may not be level. I can't for the life of me remember where I read about this fix???? Can anyone help?R/Mike

Hello all!I purchased the citation 2.0 for fs9 and am having some problems. I have read and reread all available documentation and am unable to get it working properly. Everything is ok until I try to do anything in the fms. For example, my last test flight was KOKC to KDFW. Route was KOCK..IRW.UKW1.KDFW. Shortly after takeoff, I tried to go direct to UKW. At that point, the autoflight system is inop. No lateral or vertical mode works after that. Also, the standby altimeter and airspeed indicator freeze from that point on and do not change value. Dear Simmers,I trust this post finds you in the best of health. I would like to ask you a question regarding the fs9 horizon. I'm using REX sky texture and my sight distance in fs9 options is set to 30 m.Attached please find 2 pics of what i'm talking about.Do you think that it is a Graphic card problem or maybe the sky texture is originally like that?Also has it something to do with FSUIPC settings? if so what is the best to do in my situation.Many ThanksJustin

Hello AllCan anybody tell me which effect file controls the PA jet engine shimmer effect?.I know you can turn it of using the tail hook thingy,but that doesn't work with all my models.I would like to remove the offending file if that is possible.PS well done PA for trying to get a decent shimmer ,but I have decided after some time that is would like remove it.cheers Andy

I see that the Auto Tower v2 is ready for downloading, BUT I'm not really sure just what this program does. I hardly, if ever put my Fs2004 into the "tower view" so I don't think that I would have a purpose for this program. Isn't it only for viewing FS2004 in the "tower view"? Does this program have any other purpose?I once had a "tower" program that lets you "sit" at the end of a runway and watch the aircraft land and takeoff. Hi everyone, I was watching video on YouTube and it got me wondering if there's anyway I can make my strobe lights shine on the ground like in that video at the 1:22 mark. I have Shockwave's 3D lights Redux enhancements and while they are completely awesome, they don't add this functionality. Anyone know if it's possible? It would add a small level of realism to FS9 IMO.Thanks! :(

I am trying to use MegaScenery USA 2005, Volume 5: Mid Atlantic. I have installed thisinto FS2004. I purchased the product from PC Aviator.I don't get the MegaScenery Scenery, just the default. When I put the installation DVD in and install, it installs into C:\megascenery\megasceneryMidAtlantic.After the installation, the scenery update comes on and tells me it can not find the FS9directory, I than Browse and send it to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FlightSimulator 9.I than run Flight Sim, but the scenery is still the default scenery.I tried to uninstall the program and than reinstall it, but got the same results.I even tried to copy the file "megaSceneryMidAtlantic" …

I've got a new PC but still have my old "square" monitor. If I buy a widescreen monitor is it possible to display FS9 like the old "square" display and have black bars down each side, kind of like an old movie on a widescreen TV. I don't want to have everything streched. My question is just : do you know good sound files for the Continental O-200 engine ?I sought in the library but without result .Thanks for you answers !!

I know there is a forum for Wilco products but I would like if possible an answer within the next day or so, so I am hoping for some kind soul here to understand my impatience..............I am trying to figure out which of the Navigraph FMS data packs is for the FT Airbus: I see one for the PIC320 and one for FT Boeings and ERJs.I tried the PIC320 download and it installed in a separate folder in the FS root, so that cant be it. Does anyone happen to have either a working link for, or the fie itself they could send me, for the "minimal roads patch"? The official download site has not been working for months now so I guess it's gone forever (http://www.scenerysolutions.com/Downloads.html).The filename for the one I'm after is UtEurHwOnly.exe and it removes all UT roads bar the major highways.Would appreciate it if someone could come to the rescue here as I've been after this patch for ages!

Hi guys I know how to set up the FMC on the PMDG already and the whole flight plan but I have no idea which STARS/SIDS/TRANS to pick..how can I find out? I use the FSBUILD to make flight plans and it gives me the SIDS and STARS; however, they don't always show up in the FMC..help? thank you!!

Hi all, one thing that is not accurately modeled in most Fs9 prop planes is the propellor-drag caused when the throttle is retarded.I often fly interisland on Dash 8's and they fly at high speed 'til close to the field and then slow down quickly, throw out flaps and gear, and land. Lacking the proper formulas and expertise to make an accurate airfile, I finally started cobbling together xml gauges to try and simulate the effect. With some tweaking of the numbers you can come up with something quite a bit better than nothing. I merely added invisible spoilers to the air file and deploy the spoilers using an xml gauge. Hi,I recently bought the FeelThere Airbus V1 series. How do I deploy the speed brake (for the 319)?I tried various things:- Pressing / : De lever goes down to full, but nothing happens. (no spoiler sound, neither an 'Speed Brakes' message in EICAS)- Via the 2D pedestal pressing the + aera. Lever goes partially/fully down, but nothing happens (idem)- Sometimes when I arm the spoilers for landing and again press the - area, the speed brakes deploy and I get a message in the EICAS. But most of the time they do not. It's trail and error.Is there a specific sequence or something necessary?

Hello everybody, this is my first post on the forum :DI just began the fun with AFCAD modifications and as my first target I chose Barcelona El Prat.I have Aerosoft Spanish Airports installed, however the version is veeeery old, without many taxiways and rwy 07R/25L. (Not mentioning the new terminal :D)I wanted to improve it and I modified the whole airport, added all the missing taxiways the runway and ILS approaches. The problem is that at taxiways that I modified two center lines appear. I assume that it happens because FS reads where the center line should appear from the original Aerosoft programming and my modifications. The taxiway lines are even displayed at the p…

I am relatively new to Flight sim, but I am very impressed with FS9 which runs superbly. I am wondering which is the best quality and easiset AI program? I have tried AI Aardvark, which looks fantastic but seems incredibly complicated for me, who is computer illerate unfortuantely!Any help would be much appreciated, many thanks.Best Wishes,Chris EGBB

Have I overlooked an Air Force One Livery for the Boeing 757 either freeware, or particularly for the early version of Capt. Sim's 757? I am afraid I have not come up with the correct text in my search if there is one available in the library. Has anyone tried this new FSPS program from Simmarket? They state, "Net Framework 3.5 (or higher) must be installed on that PC". I went to Microsoft and downloaded it and installed it ( I thought) and then I installed the FSPS program, I thought. The installation ended up on what looked like the main page of the PFD instruction guide, but then nothing. I RIGHT and LEFT clicked on this page but nothing happened. There was no "shortcut" installed on my desktop after the proposed installation. I rebooted my computer and did a "search" for both the Net Framework 3.5 and the FSPS program itself.....
