Hello,I have FS2004 and recently found two great freeware models by Vistaliners. The L-1011 and the Boeing 727-200. I noticed that both models do not have strobe lights in the wingtips. I searched in this forum for a similar topic, but, I couldn't find anything related to it. I hope I did not miss it, if I did I apologize for asking it again. Were both models intended not to have the strobe lights, or was this item in the works while being developed?. Is it possible that strobe lights can be programmed to make them function or perhaps is there a patch available somewhere?. I need to know if I am missing anything else that would make the sim BETTER than it ALREADY have obtained. Any suggestions must be validated as loading up the below mention programs make me feel like real flight planning. It takes about 15 minutes just to get to starting FS9.1. I'm a long time user of TripleHead2Go...(had been using 3 - 21" CRT monitors (4:3 ratio screens) with 3840x1024 pixel resolution across the extended desktop view). The native resolution for each of these monitors was 1280x1024. The external views rendered the aircraft/scenery properly proportioned and the cockpit views (virtual panel and 2D panels) had the round gauges appearing round..I just replaced those CRTs with 3-21.5" LCDs (16:9 ratio) with native resolution for each of 1920x1080 pixels. I kept the 3840x1024 resolution setting. Now....all views (external and internal appear distorted/stretched out.....planes look elongated and gauges are stretched horizo…

I've been using the fantastic Norway scenery for years. I currently use the NORAP07 airports with Norway mesh and the awesome landclass scenery from www.fotoscenery.com. I'm thinking about purchasing UT Europe but I'm concerned that it might mess things up with the Norway sceneries. Anyone have any experience with running these two together? I'd hate to have them not be compatible.Thanks,Markus

Hello everyone,I'm trying to add an active fuel pump at 51WA, (Evergreen Sky Ranch.)I've added a fuel pump with Abacus EZ-Scenery.I added fueling with AFCAD at the airport....Airport Services..(Avgas, and Jetfuel under airport properties.)I still can't add fuel at the pump . I know I am doing something wrong, but I'm not sure what. :( Can someone tell me how, or give me a link that tells me how to turn on the pump?I get no change if I taxi to the pump, and set the brakes, and open the door. HI guys..I have a bigggg problem..I was running FS9 for a long time with only several addons (listed below) with no problems1. PIC 7372. Hi,I recently purchased a boxed copy of PMDG's B747-400 (FS9) - not new. I installed it on my desktop PC running XP with no problem whatsoever. Since I travel a lot, I tried to install it on my laptop which is running Windows 7. I cannot get beyond the first screen. Nothing happens, no warnings or alerts. On advice, I have tried to install in compatability mode and 'run as administrator'. No joy.I would be grateful if you could shed some light on this problem. I have the PMDG MD11 and this works perfectly and is a fine aircraft as is the 747 on XP.RegardsSam Sambrook

Hey, I've noticed this problem for some time now (on 2 separate installs) and I've finally had enough. Problem is, some times it happens, some times it doesnt, and I haven't been able to trace it to a cause or a way of preventing it.I have a coldndark default flight set and saved with default cessna. I open that up and then load which plane I need. All switches (battery, avionics, etc) are switched off. Problem is, if I let the plane just sit there (doesn't matter if it's default or I already switched), sometimes all the power would come on, and all the avionics would turn it by themselves. Hi allMy XP install of FS9 has done something strange lately. I can no longer go to full throttle! Regardless of scenario or aircraft selected, the engine rpm maxes out around 2100! Engines also tend to stall at idle. I have re-calibrated my joystick with everything looking as it always has. I made sure sensitivity is on max and null is on min. Raw data during calibration shows throttle going from approx. 5 to 85. I have compared all references to throttle in the cfg file with saved cfg files from years ago and can't see any differences.Today, I disabled the joystick and just tried F4 on the keyboard with the same effect...2100 rpm max.If anyone has any suggestions, I su…

Hi. Can anyone say what the cause of this problem is? When I click on Actigate on the FS9 menu bar I get an error message that says "FISD RCS Error - No server set". Means nothing at all to me.. (Is that FISD as in the developers of FinnTerrain etc.???).Thanks,Martin

Howdy,Just re-installed FS9 for the first time in a long time and it's like visiting an old friend. My rig runs FSX nicely but just hammers FS9 and I'm loving the smooth FPS with my CS 707 at FZ02.The question: can someone please tell me the best .cfg settings to take advantage of the sim, meaning faster texture loading settings or higher graphics settings.Thank you. :(

Too sad that the announcement was made on the 31st and not the 1st. But the extremely talented Hans Hartmann, Alexander M. Metzger and Florian Praxmarer are closing their doors to pursue other professional goals.Congrats to that team for the fantastic add-ons they produced over the past years. My favorites are still their Fokker and the Cheyenne.It's always sad to see great developers leave the FS scene, but I do respect their decision and wish them well. Just about every flight i have, end in a crash to desktop. Apparently it is the scenery.cfg that is responsible for this. What happens is this: Im on an airport (happens on both default and addon scenery), and I am taxiing either to thegate or to the active. As im just looking around inside the cockpit, the screen goes black. When it goes black the sounds disappear, but if I slam the brakes on, the message in red "BRAKES" still shows, andso does the all the menus. In other words its only the very sim itself that goes black.Sometimes it comes back again for a couple of seconds until it CTD. I have this issue where my joystick is not applying the breaks. I have the breaks mapped to the trigger through the assignments page. It is mapped correctly because, if the parking break is set, I can release it with the trigger. Same with disconnecting the autobreaks on rollout. The breaks function if I press the "." on my keyboard...just not when I pull the trigger. I have check FSUIPC, but there is nothing in there that would be intercepting the signal. Hello allI have something very strange since I have modified some bmp ( 32 to 16 bit ) in the PSS B 777 , now all my runways and taxiways appears in white instead in the normal grey in my fs9 only in the aerosoft scenaries all looks ok ? I had also fselemental installed all was working so nicelly and right ? Hi,Taking screenshots with either program works for the first screenshot, but any subsequent shot takes picture of my desktop as it looks with FS9 minimized !Snapper even minimizes FS9 for each shot after the first one. Screenhunter leaves FS9 running, but still it captures the desktop and not the FS9 screen.I run FS9 full screen.Any thoughts ?Thanks.
