Is it possible to have more than one "aircraft.cfg" in a single aircraft folder (aircraft.cfg, aircraft1.cfg, aircraft2.cfg, etc.) and enter a line in each aircraft entry for which CFG it uses? Hello AllNot too sure if this is the correct place to ask this question, but each time I attempt to download a file from the Avsim library, I get a screen full of 'garbage' instead of the usual 'Save' option:I suspect that the 'garbage' is actually binary data from the 'downloaded' file being displayed graphically by the web page.This starting happening without warning about a month ago. I've recently updated Firefox to 4.0 hoping this might fix the problem, but alas not. All is OK with IE6.0, just Firefox. Hence, it's not a real show stopper, just inconvenient.Notwithstanding, any help much appreciated.RegardsGary

Hi allI bought the Armi VTBS v 2 quite a long time ago but I never really used it. I have issues on FPS - not from the scenery itself but from AI traffic. As soon as I activate AI traffic the FPS drops very much. It is the only airport where I experience this since my system is pretty strong for fs9.I tried to removed some of the scenery objects but the drop in FPS occours whatever as long as I have AI traffic ? Any idea would be appreciatetthanks

It is a CAA certified simulator based at 43 Air School in Port Alfred, South Africa. I've been somewhat involved with this project for a number of years & had the privelage of going to Port Alfred to install it, with my son & the rest of the team, prior to certificationWhat is particularly interesting is that the simulated tower has a full 360 degree view - a huge achievement in FS! For some strange reason FS2004 just stopped working in Window mode. I was able to use it for awhile without any problems. I just don't understand why all of a sudden it doesn't wanna work anymore! It only works in full screen, and I don't like it this way.Anyone else have the same issue before?

I'm having a problem with Sim Market as I have made several requests to have them send me my password since I forgot what I used before. I even wrote a "Ticket" and have never recieced a response. Any suggestions as to how to contact them? When requesting the password I do see the message that it has been sent to my email, but it never arrives. I also checked the "Trash" folder and nothing there either. I even gave them my Customer ID number.Has anyone else had this issue?Thanks for any help,Jim D.

I purchased a new computer a few months back. I'm running Win 7 on a i7 system. I reinstalled FS9 and I now experience intermittent system freezes on final approach. It happens about 25-30% of the flights, at different airports using different aircraft. The screen freezes, sound continues, but the is no control response at all. I'm not sure how to trouble shoot the problem. I've thought about uninstalling the software and starting the install over again, but I hate to do that work if it doesn't fix the problem, or if there is a simple change I might try first.I have turned off hyper-threading. I have plenty of RAM and video memory available. I have the current vid…

How come when I look at the wing there is no lights on them? The lights are shown in the external view but when I look at my wing view the lights are missing (red and green nav lights/white anti collision lights on wings) What file am I missing to get those lights to show up when I look out at my wings during flight??

All the reviews I've read of the three available aircraft packages for fs9 by RealAir simulations (the spit, the taildragers, and the sf260) are so overflowing with praise that I honestly can't decide which one to get. "Get them all!" you say. Unfortunately, I can only afford one at the moment.Can anyone who owns more than one of the three packages compare and contrast them? Or if you just have one, can you mention SOME kind of flaw that might help me decide?I'm mostly trying to decide between the two GA aircraft packages, but I could be talked into the spitfire. Hello everyone,I downloaded and installed the KLM Cityhopper WoAI package. I then noticed that it is not up to date anymore, so I attempted to fix this using TTools. A couple years was an individual that produced a vast amount of scenery's for Canada airports and they were very detailed and on a donation basis only. Does anyone remember???ThanksRandy

I am using Megascenery SoCal Version 2. I have discovered blocks of spring textures are missing near the Palm Springs airport (KPSP) and on the mountains to the east. What is really strange is that only the spring season textures are missing! I have attached a screen capture. Hi all,The other day I installed a bunch of AFCADs. I was flying from Tenerife to Malmo with the iFly 737 when my flightplan completely dissapeared halfway through the flight. I quit FS9 and didn't think too much of it. The next day when I went to fly my ND was messed up. The runways were showing on the ND to the left/right a few nautical miles away yet I was sat on the runway with my 737. I read there maybe a problem with the magdec.bgl file so I tried replacing it, no luck. I've re-installed the iFly (despite this happening with other add-on aircraft) & FS2004 and it's still not working! I completely deleted everything from FS2004 yet the problem still remains! The …

Hello all, I’ve just recently installed ISD’s Rome Fiumicino International Airport (FCO/LIRF) for FS2004 and I have the following problem. When I loaded the scenery for the first time I noticed large amounts of weird ‘shapes’ with no textures on the perimeter of the airport (See attached Image). To add to the confusion, I also have the same issue with MXP (But no-where near the same scale as FCO). I’ve updated both airport’s AFCADs to the latest ones I can find on AVSIM.com and the issue still persists. If anyone could please point me in the right direction for removing these ‘shapes’ it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, EK433B77W.

Hello:As you can see by my second attached screen shot once i get above a certain altitude (I was at approx 20,000 ft) my horizons turn into just a solid block of sky :)The first shot shows what it looks like at lower altitudes - I was at around 8500 ft.I've reduced my max visibilty in the .cfg file to 44000 and I have installed soft horizons etc. I don't know what else to try.At lower altitudes the horizons look great and how they should so I figure that once i get to higher altitudes it should still look similar.Any one have any thoughts or ideas? Others have the horizons looking like my first 'normal' screen shot at higher altitudes and if so what are they using and …

I've asked this on the now defunct POSKY forum. The response I got was that they never had the problem. I find it very hard to believe that I'm the only one to have the problem and wonder if anybody has a fix.The POSKY 747-800 at night will completly blur all the night ground textures when the aircraft lighting is activated. I have tried it on three different systems. I have tried it with three different graphics cards. I even did a clean install with just default fs2004 software with the only addon being the POSKY 747-800. I installed the 9.1 update and still get the same problem. I purchased a night lighting add on for ground textures and get the same thing.Does anybody…

Hi: I am having some trouble adding new scenery to fs2004. This my first scenery addon so the addon scenery folder is empty.1. I downloaded a scenery file called viva_cyyj.zip, which is Victoria airport in Canada unzip to scenery texture SCENERY.dat2. I then copy and paste to fs9/addon scenery/scenery texture SCENERY.dat3. LVA has been inactive since January, the money i do have, however i have no pilots!We started in 2008 when the service was free and since then have become a major airline, and one of the largest UK virtual airlines on the FSAirlines.net system system, the first time payment was needed i payed, however this time i have not because i have no pilots to justify the money. Hi,I'm not sure have you had this kind of problem, but when using ButtKicker shaker you can 'feel' the landing thump when gears hit the ground. The problem is that at least in FS2004 there is appr. 1-2 second delay in this sound. Could this sound file be modified somehow or is there any other way to make this sound file to play in the right timing with the actual landing time?I our Cessna sim we use multiple undocked views like virtual cockpit (main view) and also undocked outside spotplane view.
