I need the help of my fellow simmers, something wierd happened the other day while running FS2004. I noticed that my keyboard wasn't responding as normal I cannot cycle the views using the "S" keym shift 1-9 doesn't respond normally shift 1 which is usually panel display/hide doesn't do anything but shift 4 will bring up what shift 1 should be. I have not changed any of the key assignments, when I hit S it goes into the VC but I cannot cycle through I can't figure it out. I though maybe a new panel I installed was causing a conflict so I uninstalled with same results, I uninstalled FS2004 and re-installed it was ok so I started adding in my aircraft back in and it is doin…

Is there an exterior light effect (.fx file) that can be attached to an aircraft, which can illuminate the aircraft's exterior model in order to simulate apron/ramp lighting on the ground? I'm thinking of attching it to a switch so that my aircraft doesn't look pitch black while parked in a well-lit apron.

Hi: I would like to know a bit about fs adventures one can download pay or freeware. Are they just a group of fligh plans or have they scenery and aircraft ect. Also could anyone recomend one or two as I would like to try it out. I am using fs2004 and windows 7Thanks Ralph

Well, everytime that i fly, i myself chose the airports to fly directly by the company sites.i wish to know if there a program that choose in the flight for me, in a random, but a flight that exist in real life.. and next flight starts from the airport that i landed and the destination they pick random (but one that exist in irl)i know probably FSAcars (or the thing that make the VA sites) can do this in some way, but i don't want to install php/mysql on my machine..someone know any other options?

Hello,I continually get a CTD when using Fs9, in which the error report states a reference to xactengine3_4.dll as the culprit. anybody know how to fix this? any help would be great. thanks in advance.

Hey!Does anyone know if there's an utility that you can set up the fuel weight you want and it loads up slowly while you prepare other stuffs of the flight? I'm tired of go to fuel and payload menu, set the fuel and suddenly it's all there. Did I make myself clear enough? Like FSPax does with PAX, you set the POB and slowly people gets onboard. I think only the % changes, not the actual weight but anyway...I was looking for something like that...you look at the fuel load indicator and you see it growing as the mechanic loads the aircraft with fuel.Is this that hard to create that none have done this yet? It could give a little more realistic tough to the pre-flight phase.…

Just wondering how to translate coordinates for a navaid in one form to another. Example: Flightsim 2004 has the format N42*14.8 W70*53.35Online at some sites they have a format of (and this is for a different navaid): Lat/Long: 42-29-41.900N / 071-33-12.270WHow would you change the second format to that of the first? The reason I ask is that I'm trying to add navaids to flightsim so that I can input those navaids into my FMC. Thanks,Chris

Hi: I am using fs9. Trying to land a 737-200 with ILS. I am short of the runway many times.For exampile I am trying to land at CYQM on runway 06 with an Ils approach. Everything goes very well. I line up perfectly and the ap brings me lined up with 06 and the decent is very good. The problem is that I am short of the runway.The elevation there is about 200 feet. Do I have to consider that to make approach at the correct altitude? I was at 2500 feet at the time of approach. What is the correct altitude at intercept of the Ils?Could someone explain this to me?Thanks Ralph

I upgraded to a new computer and when I try to install Ultimate Terrain for FS2004 it keeps saying that the file sizes don't match. I've downloaded twice with no luck. This new computer is Windows 7 64bit. Anyone else had this problem? Everything else of FS2004 I've moved into this new computer works fine, except World of AI installer.Paul

Have a AMD Radeon 4250 card in my Laptop and have AF Filtering set to 8x in the control center. Should I turn of AF in FS9 (Set now to triliner). Just wondering if have both set if they will interfere with each other. Thanks for any help

Hidee hodee everybodee,Has anyone been able to resolve the challenge (no such things as problems) of getting sound out of the great gauge by a real gentleman Mr.Glenn Copeland called Altitude Alerter. I have tried all areas of the forums search etc., and I have redirected the sound file.ini to every possible variation to my limited knowledge. Gauge does the amber flash,flash,flash but no sound. Hi there, I'm looking for a new desktop or even to rebuild my current dekstop, for FS2004 to run smoothly with good FPS on maximum graphic settings. Basically if anybody can help me to find the right graphics cards CPU's or even a desktop for a good FS9 set up i will appreciate greatly. Also i'm intending to use software such as CaptainSim AES and REX. I would like to spend under £500 ($750) (My desktop accepts Intel chipsets and Nivdia cards.)aCheers, Tom

Check out the pictureIt's zoomed in by itself to an extent where after zooming out completely (ref : picture) the simulator looks like its been panned out on a wide screen. This also happened with FSX and now its happening in FS2004 with PSS 777 only so far. Any idea whats causing this and what I can do to get the camera back to normal ? Since its only happening on the 777 so far, I suspect its something to do with the aircraft.cfg and not the fs9.cfg. Then again, who knows!CheersKaran

hay guys does anyone here have the Aeroworx knig air.I find that on approach that it very hard to get it to slow down even if you set a long approach and see all red on the vasi. it just seems to want to keep flying.So are other haveing the same thing with theres,.

Hello!Today I have uninstalled the entire FS9 to make a "clean install", but of course (as usual with me) I come across a problem not long into the adventure... About 30% into the installation, an error message occurs (see picture), I have definitely not run out of memory on the disk, and the file it's talking about can not possibly be open in another program... I Have tried to choose both the C-drive and an external drive in the installation, but it fails on both ...Is there anyone here who has a clue what this might be?Thanks in advance!/ Arvid

What is the most realistic airliner for Fs2004? When I say realistic, I am not just talking about the model and VC. HiI have the autohover and helicopter autopilot gauges from antti pankonnen. Both don't work.I downloaded the autohover separately, and I installed it into both Jordan moore's HH-60J and Deane's Huey. When I tried it on the HH-60J, the autohover's altitude just kept rising. When I tried it on the Huey, I could control the altitude. However, when I pressed the master switch, the aircraft went everywhere--pitching, yawing, rolling, you name it. The autopilot doesn't behave much better. I am using 737 Pilot In Command on FS2004. Is it possible to fly an ILS to either a landing or a Go-Around stop and reposition or restart the sim so you are back on finals again to make another approach? I would appreciate any none complicated tips or advise.Many thanks.

Why are all my bridges in FS9 Grey??? They have no color at all. They are Grey like the textures are missing or are not loading. Anyone had this problem before??

Hello fellow pilots!My friend and i have tried for about a week now to fly with a shared cockpit, using gates.to, on VATSIM. But everything keeps failing! Niether of us understands the tutorial posted at gates.to's site, so we would appreciate some help. I'm using fsinn, but the friend of mine is using SB. Recently purchased a new rig. I have been able to run all my previous scenery's that I was using in XP in Win7 except FlightZone Portland. It ran once and since then a window pops up stating that FS must close due to an error. I am using only default scenery in this area and 55 or so scenery addons. Not terribly computer savvy so any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated
