I usually create my flight plans with FS Navigator, but when I right-click on a certain airport, the 'Add to Flightplan' option is greyed out. I have recompiled the FSNav database, but with the same result. The airport is ZUNZ, from bgd_linzhi_2008_v2.0.zip on AVSIM. The AFCAD file had some errors, but nothing major, overlapping aprons, that kind of thing - I corrected them in AFCAD2 anyway. But still I can't add ZUNZ to a flight plan in FSNav. I checked for duplicate AFCADs too....I can make a flight plan from ZUNZ directly in FS9 - choose departure, destination, find route, save .. works OK. So what might be wrong in FSNav?Any ideas what still may be wrong?Thanks,Martin…

Hi. Does anyone know how I can increase the climb thrust of jet a/c, via the aircraft.cfg file I imagine. I have already added an entry like this:[jet_engine]thrust_scalar=1.10but at that setting, the a/c in question are already accelerating as much as I would want whilst taxiing, at idle thrust (I have to keep tapping the brakes to keep them from going too fast), so I don't really want to increase the value any further. After take-off though, unless I climb at no more than 800ft/min or so, the a/c will not accelerate to get to a point where I can start lifting flaps - more likely to slow and stall.I've looked through AircraftContainerSDKFS2004.doc (searched for 'climb' a…

Ok here is the deal..... I'm a Flight Simmer for 16 ears already and am a let's say semi-hardcore Simmer. I actually only fly Airliners and IFR (e.g. LH1234 from EDDF-EDDT).I don't want to limit myself to one aircraft. I like having a large variation going from a KLM Cityhopper Fokker 70 to a Singapore Airlines Airbus A380. I'm an absolute wing-view Fan. When I get bored in the sky or waiting for my take-off clearance I usually glance a the wing from all directions. HiI have POSKY's 747-200B Air Force One, with panel by Kevin Mitchell and sounds by Christoffer Petersen. On my AF1, the nosewheel is locked 180 degrees left, and the landing gear is locked tilting upwards, as it would be on takeoff after it leaves the ground. HiI replaced the DG on the Glacier Girl (David Copley) panel with the Beech Baron HSI, in order to make ILS approaches, and to make using the autopilot hdg hold easier. I was planning on shooting a couple low-vis ILS approaches using the HSI on the Glacier Girl panel. I was just wondering, did the real P-38 execute ILS approaches? Does the real Glacier Girl use ILS approaches? Or is it just strictly VFR?

I found this file, 4CF9.FSR, in my Flight Simulator Files Folder. Can anybody tell what this file is or what it ties back to in FS9? I currently have the file disabled on my computer.ThanksTom

Hello AllOn my flights, as I near my destination I like to check the ATIS for weather/runway info. I use FSNav. I have found though that I cannot always enter the correct freq as displayed In FSNav.As example if say the ATIS freq is 134.35 I can only enter 134.36 (Comm won't except 5)I believe this could be something to do with the radio's section of Aircraft Cfg, I know these can be altered (some downloaded aircraft actually will ask you to do this) but I am not sure.This problem doesn't occur with every ATIS, but it is a bit annoying. As a pilot albeit a virtual one, knowing which runway to land on is a good idea.(I know you can make a guess using wind direction) but if…

HiI downloaded Gnoopey's B-29 a while ago, and the cockpit textures aren't showing. The only thing that shows is the copilot instrument panel, everything else is gray. Does avsim happen to have an update with cockpit textures?

A couple of weeks ago, after reinstalling the FS9.1 update and the 1.2 update for PMDG's 747-400, I suddenly started getting CTDs immediately on attempting to load a saved flight, ANY saved flight, regardless of the aircraft in the saved flight. I thought I had fixed the problem after finding three different [Display.Device] entries in my fs9.cfg fiile (one for the current graphics card in my system and 2 for previous graphics cards). Guys,I'm running ActiveSky 6.5 for FS9 with REX OD for textures. Should I upgrade my AS version? I feel like I have a bad setting right now. Everytime I check on it, it appears to be on the VAS Auto Gen mode. Any tips, pointers, or general guidelines would be appreciated. Thanks, Dave

Recently I loaded Win 7 on a new hard drive and have two questions.1. Regarding the UAC control, do you leave it off permanetly or turn it off only when making changes to the flight simulator?2. If I restart my computer, I am required to log into the forums again if I want to post even though I have AVSIM listed in the control panel to 'always allow'. Hi AllI have purchased the PSS 777 and have read things on these forums about a merge with the POSKY model. I understand the point of this is to use the PSS panel/systems but the POSKY model, as it is better than the PSS model, is this correct?I have downloaded the following file from the libraryposky_pss_777_merge.zipand the instructions call for you to download "any POSKY 777-200 model". I purchased 3 of the FSD aircraft: the Piper Seneca V, the Aerostar 177 and the Commander 115TC v1.They all display the Outside Air Temperature as 0C on the ground with the default KSEA situation of Clear Skies. Switching to any other aircraft, including the default Cessna 172, they all display correctly 15C, but not the FSD aircraft! :( If anyone else here has a recent build of these aircraft, or better a recent install using the latest installers from FSD, could you check if you see this problem, please?I wrote on their forum, specifically as the Aerostar 700 has another problem with the Pressurization system and I wrote directly to their Support. I have just downloaded the gauge for fs2004, I have had the panel before but upgraded an aircraft so i had to download and install again. The previous panel i had no problems with but this one i am having a problem with manually braking the aircraft. Even when the taxispeed hold is off the aircraft wont brake! the parking brake can be used but its not meant to be used when in taxi!!! As anyone got any ideas wot has happened and anyone got a fix for the problem? (I have checked the brake is assigned to my joystick too!)CheersRob

In my many years of FS experience I've always seen these MOI values in all FS9 aircraft.cfg files but have never touched them, simply because I've never understood what they were there for ......... untill I downloaded a very well made model which bounced around violently on the ground while taxiing, taking off and landing, even directly after starting the engines.The plane's author said he had had no such problems during his testing phase and he advised me to increase the three MOI (pitch, yaw and roll) values until the problem disappeared. Hi, is there a way to default the spot view in FS9 to an altitude of 7 instead of having it move around to different numbers when choosing different planes? I like 7 since its a good angle (not too high and not too low).Thanks

Hello everyone,After much tweaking of both FS and my system, I thought I had more or less dealt with the odd stutters. However, recently they popped up again at a particular scenery location where I never had any problems before, i.e. Edinburgh Xtreme (UK2000). Typically the stutters occur at predictable moments: About halfway during the turn after pushback (from any gate), while turning onto the runway (both ends) and while crossing the threshold during landings (both ends).
