HiI downloaded Gary Herbert's awesome B-17G a while ago, and downloaded a panel (17g.zip) and a soundpack (b17sndpk.zip), both from Avsim. I was just wondering, how accurate is the flight model? Does it model the B-17's nuances well? I'm not a pilot IRL, so I couldn't say either way...

Hi, I am using FS9 with Window 7 64 bites pro. I am also using FS Real Time. Since yesterday, everytime I change to time, it goes back to real time automaticaly. I shut doen teh FS real time and same things happened again.Can anyone help so I can put the time I want?Thank you.Al

Hello to All,We are a group multiplyer simmers, most of us over 60 years old, looking for a better way to see the gauges on a cockpit.So, we are looking for a freeware, that will enlarge the view , enough to read the gauge numbers, just with a mouse swipe. We have located some "magnifying" softwares, that worked only on the desktop, no applications. Nothing fancy, just something attahed to a hot-key, will do the job.Any helpful ideas ?Thanks !!!Bob.

since i didn't spend too much time on fs9 lately, i thought i might take a break of work, and fly a little.Cruising at high altitude i noticed that somehow no contrails showed up.Wondering if the plane i was flying probably had missing effect files or cfg entries, i tried several others, but also no contrails here.The same with all AI aircraft.I changed the temperature, no effect.I checked the *.fx files, replaced them with originals, no change.Tried flusifix, no change.Then i tried one of the default planes, and suddenly contrails were back.But ONLY with default planes.I found that only the default planes have the line "max_contrail_temperature = -30" in their .cfg.But c…

Hi AllDoes anyone have or know where I can find a texture for Wilco's A319 for easyJet?The only one I can find in the library is an easyJet Switzerland texure, with an "HB" registration.I'm just looking for the normal easyJet UK texture. I'm sure I could probably edit it out in Photoshop but would rather get one that's already made if one exists.Thanks for your help.Martin

Hello, After my gepro textures are installed to match the weather, Can I close the gepro menu or do i have to keep it minimised while flying to keep the textures installed for my flight?p.s sorry about the double post, i hit the buttton twice by accident.Thanks

I was playing with my fs9.cfg and I saw the line 'PANEL_MASKING=1' in the [PANELS] section.Does anybody know the meaning of this parameter? I changed it to 0, restarted FS2004 and saw no change.On the other hadn I saw 'PANEL_STRETCHING' acts on the stretching capability of the panel. Setting it to 0 makes the panel unchanged when the sim window is resized.But i couldn't find a clue about PANEL_MASKING. Any idea?Thanks,Eric

Just got a new PC.and am now installing sceneries etc.When I got the strange sea (see my attachments) I started to try and find a solutionFound this article on Avsim dated 2004the "missing beaches" are in fact missing default Land-Water-Mask files (LWM), which define the details of coastlines and lakes and are located in the regional sub-folder so FS9Scenery. They all start with HP9* and it appears one of your add-ons moved or deleted them. If you don't know which add-on did this the best option is to reload those files from your original FS9 CDs.HORIZON VFR NL is the only scenery I think I have with LWM.In the new PC in FS2004 SCENERY/EURW were several files related to …

I have spent well over eight hours now (excluding tea and lunch breaks!) trying to get this panel to work (Benoit Gaurant - a3bgtv30.zip and whatever updates: there's a file a3bgtv32.zip somewhere too that I have backed up on my hard drive, but can't find it anywhere now) and have had to admit defeat. Has anyone installed this panel and have it working?I managed to sort out all other problems, but I cannot engage the Autothrottle after (or before take-off) - it just makes a 'ping' sound and snaps back to off. If I reload the a/c (after take-off - if you reload before take-off all systems revert to cold and dark) then the AT works, which makes me think the problem is with …

Just curious as to how many texture sets do you have?I am about to install some, however they take quite a while so i am just curious to see how many do you have to compare.Just a curious quesion, nothing more :(

At my local airport, I hear departure give the following instructions to westbound traffic."Turn right heading 310, join victor 483, climb and maintain 10,000."Is there a way to program the FMC to join an airway when given a heading to intercept it? It would be easy if given an intersection to fly direct to join, but that's not the case here. Any help would be appreciated as I would like to try this in Flight Sim.Thanks!Bill

I installed fs genesis hawaii landclass and mesh and love the results. However the default buildings in Waikiki are no longer on the coast but inland due to the new landclass. Is there a fix to move the buildings back onto the coast ? (If I am using megacity hawaii the default buildings are moved up to the coastline which I prefer not to use) Thanks

For the 2nd time in a short time frame the release of the 'Airbus Evolution' update package has been postponed. The 1st delay was 2 weeks, now it is postponed for 4 weeks until March 28.I mean, how difficult can it be? They should not publish any release date, unless they are for 99% sure they can deliver. It's all about managing expectations, nothing more.But on the positive site: They reconfirm their already crappy reputation :(

Is anyone using TrackIR 4 Pro with a vector clip thing? I have just got a used one and I can't get it to work properly. The head/view just rolls/twitches around the screen at random. I have tried all the profiles and the settings within TrackIR software but nothing seems to work.Anyone got any suggestions?Andy S

hello all.... I installed and added some airports to my FS9, I add Nome, Unalakleet and Anchorage all in Alaska. On my old computer I never had a problem with it but on my new same toshiba computer if i want to use them add on sceneries i have to load them each time i get on FS9, dont know why i have to keep adding it each time where on my older computer all i had to do was turn FS9 on and all 3 airports were working fine. help please would really appreciate your help.

Hi,I recently purchased the excellent addon scenery for Copenhagen (EKCH) by Scansim.I initially found problems with some of the com. frequencies and had great support by the creator of the scenery at their support forum. He created a new AFCAD for the scenery with the correct frequencies working.However, the ATIS won´t work for love nor money. I´ve talked to the designer about this, and he has done all that he could on his part, and that is that the ATIS frequency is positively added in the AFCAD.Here´s what the frequencies looks like in AFX-editor (I´ve double checked that the AFCAD in focus is an FS9-version):But still, in FS9, the ATIS will not show up. I'm using Win 7 and I keep getting the dreaded 103 error when I try to use the PIA Installer. Has anybody found a fix to this? One more thing, I remember a site full of AI GA airplanes, does anybody remember the name?Thanks David F.

It's been since FS98 that I've been out of simming. Now, I want to be back. After much tossing and turning about whether to go with FSX or FS2004, reading threads about both, watching videos, etc., I have finally decided to go with FS2004. My decision is partly based in economics (using my current setup if possible), and partly because FS2004 seems more predictable in terms of performance. Comparing the two, I personally didn't see such a huge difference between the two in terms of scenery quality. Now, I do see a difference, don't get me wrong, but not enough to make me spend the money for stuff that not having won't make me lose sleep at night.My main uses will be fo…
