Hi all!I downloaded POSKY's AWESOME 777 many moons ago. Just now, I opened an IFR flight plan from KSFO to KLAX and fired the 777 up. However, when I looked in the VC, the gauges are blank--absolutely nothing is showing. The weird thing is that the panel is normal--when I checked the VC panels using CFGEdit, the gauges were aliased to the default 777, as was the panel. Both the panel and VC were aliased to the same gauges (default 777), but the VC's gauges wouldn't show. Even the Electronic Flight Bag won't show. :( Could someone please help? I can understand why the FSX POSKY 777 wouldn't work, but why the FS2004 version?Attached are some pictures that could be of some …

Anyone managed to get more than engine no.1 engine throttles to work? :( Followed the manual and cannot taxi with just one engine even though all three engines are running. I have already tried the 'E+1+2+3' move to no avail.

HiThis is my first post on Avsim, so pardon if it seems a bit rough around the edges. :( I have FS9.0, not patched. It's plain vanilla except for the fact that I have tweaked some aircraft.cfg files, soundpacks and panel cfgs, and I have added a carrier scenery (car2004.zip). I just have a few quick questions.1) When I set the radio frequencies into my Nav1 radio and set my DME to Nav1, the DME does not show anything (specifically, "--nm, --kt"). Only when I switch to Nav2 does the DME show any readouts. Is this a bug with FS9 or is the DME designed this way? B/c I've read tutorials for both FSX and FS9 and they say to switch to Nav1 in FSX and switch to Nav2 in FS9 to…

Hi AllFor a change from jets I've been learning to fly the ATR-72 from Flight1.I absolutely love this aircraft but I'm having a really frustrating time performing ILS approaches.Here's how it's been going down....I've been using LNAV to make the aircraft follow my specified flight plan, then when the localiser comes alive, I've been taking it out of LNAV mode and putting it into LOC mode so that it lines up with the runway.Only it doesn't...it snakes all over the place from left to right in big movements instead of just gently banking to line up with the runway, and I end up only a couple of miles from the runway some considerable distance to the left or right of said run…

Did a stupid thing and misassigned a key press in FSUIPC: it was 'S' = Views (cycle) as per the FS9 defaults, and I had it sent to a yoke button as an FS command.In the FS9 assignments 'S' is still Views (cycle) but I have lost it on the yoke, and cant find either Views (cycle) or Views (cycle backwards) in the FSUIPC dropdown lists in order to re-assign it. FSUIPC still sees 'S' as the thing I wrongly assigned it to.Does any of that make sense?

I was Flying My Pmdg 747 At Fl360 From KATL-TNCM today Around 300NM from Tncm and all of a sudden The wind Changed and it caused me To stall then To Overstress the Aircraft. I was Flying With Fspassengers and Had to quit Because of the points i would lose. If you can Hep me i would be thankful.

Got a new PC and have started installing my old and some new sceneries again.Amongst others VFR ground textures for the Netherlands and other Ground Environments & Ultimate terrain.I have started making a a few flights and found that the coastal area's like the attached photo's is very strange.It seems that a scenery patch is missing or altered.In the Scenery Library I have ticked out most of the above mentioned sceneries without any change.I think this problem occurred on my older PC but I do not remember how it was fixed.Hoping somebody can help.

So, i set everything on maximum (FS2004 Setting and Catalyst Control Center Settings, except the AA wich is 2x)But my texture draw distane is still lowis there a fix for this problem ?

What is the name of that other program (three letters, I think) that works like RAdar Contact 4? I cannt remember its name. I want to try another program for awhile even though I still love RD4 (or is it RC4?. jerrycwo4

HiIs it just me or is the default Learjet 45 way too overpowered? I take off and the airspeed indicator is reading 200-something before I retract the gear! Is the real jet this sprightly, or is this yet another default FDE bug? Is there any .cfg tweak I can use to reign in the engines?

Take a look at the screen shot. I've tried just about everything that I can think of to land and park at KSBA. The parking spot that I was directed to is for large GA and I'm in my tiny 182Q. I've tried adjusting the afcad but it's still no use. The version of KSBA that I'm using is California Central Coast's version and other then the adjustments to the afcad, it's pretty much a straight install.So any advice here would be helpful because I love to fly in this area.Mark

I'm using Ultimate Terrain with Ground Environment Pro, some places have Megascenery.Recently I fly in and out San Francisco KSFO, San Diego KSAN and Los Angeles KLAX (with Megascenery) a lot and I notice that the textures around airports load very slow. When I fly into the area, I change view from cockpit to spot view,textures look very blur. Only if I stay in spot view for a few seconds or if I pause fs,the textures will then show up like it should be. Even in cockpit view I can clearly see blurry texture around.Below is my display configuration. With my current system I think it should handle megascenery well :(

Just dowloaded QW's Ultimate 757 Collection from PC Aviator and attempted to install it in FS2004. Got an error message stating that version 9.1 is required and that file g3d.dll is a 9.0 file! I loaded FS2004 and check the "About Microsoft Flight Simulator" window which reports the version as being 9.00, Build 30612.02. However, I *did* install the 9.1 upgrade when I originally installed FS2004. An attempt to reinstall the upgrade resulted in a message stating the the upgrade is already installed! What's the problem here, and more importantly, how do I fix it? BTW, I while I was able to install PMDG's FS2004 747-400, I get a CTD whenever I attempt to load the aircr…

Hi AllPlease bear with me if I'm being a total idiot - I've only just started experimenting with Flightplans and FMC - until now I've just been using the inbuilt FS planner and letting ATC vector me to an ILS approach, so a lot of this is quite new to me...here goes...I set up a plan in FSBuild from ESSA (Stockholm/Arlanda) to EHAM (Amsterdam/Schipol) and selected RWY18R in FSBuild. I was not using ATC and as this was just a test flight for me to cement what I think I know about using the FMC, I chose my own arrival runway in advance.All went well with my flight, until about 10 miles out from Schipol when I realised that there may be a little bit of a problem coming up...…

i was just wondering, if im using an outside program to set my AA, Mipmapping etc. should i turn mipmapping, anti aliasing etc off in the options menu of fs itself.Im using CCC for my ATI card, but currently still have mipmaping set in fs9 also. will i gain anything by turning it off within fs9 considering its also on in my CCC panel?Thanks

I liked playing cfs3 online and when that went down..I looked all over the place to find groups or individuals to play online with..So I want to tell you about Gameranger. you download their little program and it supports cfs3 along with a ton of other games..I have played online with other people already and its really cool!! check out Gameranger!!

Quite a while ago I remember seeing a way to change all the aircraft (and panel) cfg's to automatically open in note pad. I made the change a year or so ago but when updating some things on my computer recently they now are all back as pdf files. Does anyone remember how to do that-change them all at once to 'notepad'?Thanks,Bill

Hi folks,I have been reading (with some interest, as it allows taxiing with realistic low thrust) about the modification that is possible in the sim1.dll module which corrects the ground friction value to something more realistic... I found this post (http://forum.avsim.net/topic/226874-realistic-taxi-thrust/page__st__25__p__1454938__hl__sim1dll__fromsearch__1#entry1454938) and others, and thought I'd have a go at making the modification myself. However, I have looked at the offsets that I should find, in order to know what lines to change, and compared them to my sim1.dll file and I see that they are not the same. Hi guys, i came across this really great looking freeware scenery addon for KBOS, bostonv2.zip is the file name. But when i install it i get a error message at the end saying that it will not work as i'm running a 64bit system, I know the file has been out for a while but is there anyway around this now alot of people have systems with a 64bit.Really would like to get it installed, it looks good enough to be payware.
