I have FS9 but have been using FSX for so long I can't seem to get the Aircraft Reload to work in FS9. In FSX I have CTRL-F11 set to reload the aircraft. I, and a friend, set this same assignment in FS9 and it does not work. The Change Assignment works OK but the command does not work. How can we quickly reload the aircraft if an aircraft.cfg or panel.cfg is made? Thanks, Bob.

Just by chance I was going to replace some effect textures and noticed that the textures were normal bitmap textures. Not DXT. So are effect textures supposed to be normal bitmaps? Would it be better if they were DXT? Please advise and thanks!Mark

Hey, does anyone know what's the deal with SkySimulations? I bought their DC9 about 2 months ago on SimMarket and I have not been able to run the update. SkySim has no forum and they haven't responded to my emails. Everytime I run the update I get an error saying responce from server was not correct. Any ideas? And of cource SimMarket doesn't provide support...Cheers!

The ATC function of my FS9 has just thrown a couple of new problem at me.1) Endless loop. I am on an instrument approach to a field in IMC, when an ai aircraft operating VFR calls the tower. He gets the standard "airport under IFR - request denied" response....but a few seconds later he calls again. And again. And again. I'll have to say, the controller is remarkably patient, giving the same "request denied" response over and over, too. I posted earlier about the Aeroplane Heaven Grumman Panther throwing up an incompatible software message, and I thought 'd fixed it. However it returned today - having selected the aircraft and hit 'Fly Now' the full message is: "FS9 has detected potentially incompatible software: GAUGES\Cfo_Gauges.GAU"If I hit 'Yes' to load the software, FS9 crashes ( i.e. stops responding ), if I hit 'No' to disable the software, FS9 crashes.This is supposed to be the FS2004 version. Has anyone had this problem and found a solution?TIA

Hi all,I'm sure there are many of you still using the excellent ISD PROJECT Roma Fiumicino Airport scenery. However, if you also have assigned AES credits to that airport you may have noticed a mismatch between the gate numbers displayed by AES and those in the various AFCAD files for LIRF.The AES gate numbers are numeric and 3 characters whereas in all the AFCAD files I've downloaded from the AvSim Library they are alpha-numeric. The Navigraph airport files for LIRF shows that gate numbers are numeric. So why are all the available AFCADs showing different gate numbers? It looks like I'm going to have to edit an existing AFCAD to change the gate numbers.But searching thro…

I've been playing it for more than 10 months now, after playing FSX for more than an year and I've never had any problems with it... until now. A few days ago my game started slowing down a lot. Mostly in the main menu, where you chose the plane, make your flight plan etc. It takes more than 10-15 seconds after clicking a button. Made some tweaks within my FS9/Effects folder....couldn't read the files so I opened one of them on desktop (Vista 64)in notepad so I could edit...when I saved the file it changed all my .fx files within the effects folder to notepad. How do I change/reassociate the files back to their original format?ThanksRich Perry

I had to reload my FS9. I used Go-Flight TQ6 and it used to work perfectly but since I reload my Flight sim 9. It does not work properly. When I put the full throttle it goes maximun for about 20 second then goes back to zero. Same thing with teh throttle of my CH yoke and same same if I used Key board. Obviously it is not a problem with my TQ6 or CH Product because it does that even with key board.I have Window 7 Pro 64 bites.I tried everything and it is not working.Help please.ThanksAl

I have the FS 2004 version of the WILCO A380 airbus which had the 2005 version of AIRAC installed when I downloaded. Is there any way that I can update the AIRAC for this aircraft please?Thank youDonald LEATON

It is March, 2011...and I am still batting for FS2004. I have read several posts that people have written asking if they should switch to FSX or not. I have also read many of the answers to these posts. If you have not switched by now, you are probably like me. Hi!Just stumbled across this freeware helicopter available from Hovercontrol.com and have spent the last two hours having a fascinating time with it! This is certainly as good as and better than a lot of payware helicopters (the Area51 Chinook which I recently purchased for example!). It was originally built for FS2002 but an FS9 update is available and it comes in various configurations but the fire-bomber version is certainly entertaining and fully functional. The external model is very good - reasonably detailed and accurate in shape and it comes with a 2D cockpit which is fully functional and, again, as good as many payware 2D cockpits. I posted previously that I CTD when I tried to fly the Grumman Cougar (f9f.zip - Ito's model) from the AVSIM library. I have reinstalled, I can select the aircraft but when I 'Fly Now' the 'Microsoft Simulator has stopped working' message appears. Has anyone successfully installed and flown this model?I also installed the Aeroplane Heaven Panther. When I try to fly this I get a message 'FS9 has detected potentially incompatible software GAUGES\Cpo xxx' (can't remember the exact gauge file name). I presume this is because the Panther was designed for FS2002. Is there a way around this to get it to fly in FS9?TIA

Hi,OK I have FS2004 and Aerosoft Heathrow and Aerosoft Heathrow is one of the best payware scenery that is worththe money anyways I really like the jetways. The other I went to the real Heathrow Terminal 5 and I saw a British Airways loading luggages and fuel and the jetway was connected to the aircraft. This reminded me to see how to do this on FS2004. I use freeware aircrafts and even with a default aircraft the jetway or anything won't come to the aircraft.I lined up to the T on the yellow line and turened off the engines then I pressed Ctrl + J to get the jetway which didn't move. Hi everyone, So yesterday, I booted up FS9 after installing an iFDG MD-11 and I was surprised to see the GPS was acting all weird. It was working fine day before yesterday and the only add-ons I installed since day before yesterday was that MD-11. I thought it was something gone wrong with the aircraft's panel or something so I just ignored it. This afternoon though, I noticed the GPS was still suffering from the same problem. I own both the box versions of the Wilco Vol 1 (deluxe) and Vol 2 with the proper patches installed from the wilco site.My issue is upon exit of the sim (and sometimes during) I get a CTD (FS has shut down) with a A332GE_feelThere.GAU, version: 3.3.0.99 error (for example, when using the other busses I get the respective gauge error for each one).This happens on both my W7 64bit and Vista 64bit machines. It never happened on my old 32bit version of XP. Hey guys. I'm just wanna ask if it is normal with VOZ.. I'm getting detailed scenery in only few places, when other areas are default I think. At first I thought this is iFly problems since I only fly that aircraft now. But when I tried with PMDG,same results.I've look into this for 2 days and still no luck. Hi All,Currently, I am happy to fly Mooney as in the topic. Although everything seems to work fine, I cannot change frequency on NAV2. Of course, plus and minus signs appear when the mouse pointer is over this knob but the frequency does not change when I click it. There are three memory buttons and they behave normally, i.e. they react to my activity but I cannot adjust the desired frequency and it's a real pain in my neck.I assume something is blocked or set up incorrectly but I can't find what could it be.Did anyone have similar problem?
