I've always loved and been fascinated by aircraft (ex RAF and now working for Airbus in Germany) but now I've decided to get serious about learning to fly "properly" with FS 2004 (unless someone convinces me that FSX is better!).Anyway, I've read glowing reports about Project Fokker's F70/100 aircraft addons and so I thougt I'd try and make things a bit more interesting by adding these aircraft (while I'm working through the flying school modules). About a month ago, I suffered a Windows (XP) failure and required a reinstall of Windows. I have a current backup on an external drive, so I don't think I lost much data. But it is really slow as I need to reinstall all the software utilities, like Ultimate Traffic, Ultimate Terrain, all the scenery, etc. I tried to short cut copying some aircraft, but that has cause some problems. Some aircraft I copied over are dumping FS9, so I'm not getting all the files. I'm looking for a way to move the aircraft from the external drive, as some of the aircraft I had are no longer available, such as the FFS Saab 340 or the AOPA C112.So here's the question ... People,After the AirSimmer Warning thread, I believed it was all over. but, suddenly, AirSimmer released v1.3 of their addon. A/P and A/T problems have been fixed, CTDs have been fixed and some sound bugs. And, what I find to be a great addition: full panel saving ahs been enabled. Those that own the addon, please downloa,d install, and post what you think. With panel saving enabled, I might actually go for it, depending on how good the addon is now.

Hi,I've noticed this for a long time but I have loads of blurry textures when I get close to the ground for some reason. I ahve France VFR Paris but its still really blurry. I have a HP PavillionWindows 7 Home Premium 3GB RAM2.7Ghz CPUI also have some wierd lines when I move like on the taxiways and runways. Does anybody know why and how I can stop this?Thank You

Hi everyoneI'm interested in buying the Eaglesoft Piper Twin Comanche and notice that it is available from Flight 1 via their wrapper system.Does this mean that if I reformat my PC or buy a new one I will have to reactivate my purchase again with the consequent limitation of how many times I can do this without having to contact Flight 1 direct?Many thanks in advance of any replies.David

The title and description say it all,I'm a bit confused. And among these three which one is better? Are there any better add-on for mesh/terrain than these 3?There are Scenery Tech and megascenery too I guess.Another question,can these add-ons work together? Such as FSglobal with Ultimate Terrain or MegaScenery?I'm using Fs2004 with FSGlobal btw.Thanks

Hi ThereIt's been a while since I changed my SO to windows 7 I didn't get a black screen crash which happens when approaching a destination scenery. I downloaded this from the AVSIM library and installed it in line with the included instructions. I can select the different variants of the aircraft - so that's installed correctly. I can select a flight - say the default Tacoma. But when I hit 'Fly Now' I receive a message saying 'Microsoft Simulator has stopped working'. (Using Windows 78 Pro 64 bit.)Has anybody else had this issue with this aircraft?TIA

I downloaded and installed Mytraffic. Now all those planes are in the select aircraft drop down. I remember a program to be able to batch get rid of all those planes from the dropdown. Anyone know the name. It was freeware.JimCYWG

Is there a paint in the Qantas colors for the IFLY 737, especially this one? I have it with the PMDG 737, but now I own the IFLY model. I've looked in the library here and at flightsim, but no paint. Would love to have it.Jim D.

How do you uninstall the demo of KLAS by FSDreamteam? I searched, i looked on their web site FAQ. Nothing.I wouldn't be asking if they told me how.I just ran the installer twice, to see if an uninstall option came up. Nothing.Daniel

HiI just installed all 3 packages of aeropuerto mexico in fs9 but it seems not to be working. I create a flight at mmun or mnln but its just the default scenary. I noticed though, that all folder were installed at the main folder and not into scenary folder. When i tried to add it, fs just couldn't load it. Any ideas on how to make it work ?Thanks

I've just updated my video card to the above and am having problems I have never had before.When ente ring in the Fmc I have to press three times on the mouse to get the Fmc up. Tssthis also applies to any other operation within the aircraft, if I enter the departure airport in the Fmc the letters in the scratchpad stutter in fact I enter for example LEAL and what happens is that I get LL on the first entry and have to clear one L before Ican go to the second L and the this happens all the time.I don't know if somebody can recomend a driver from ATI, I've tried the latest but no change.Please help if you understand what I have written and have had the same problem.Thanks…

It's been awhile since I asked about approaches...I don't remember where they come from. The thing of it is that I've been testing water textures in and around L.A. and have been flying from KAVX (Mike Max) to KLGB (Shez) and just noticed that all of the KLGB approaches are gone. When I select approach in the GPS it simply comes up blank!If someone wouldn't mind, please refresh my old memory and let me know how to get the KLGB approaches back? Please advise and thanks!Mark

I hope no one gets mad at me for posting this here, (it really goes to hardware), but I thought it was fun enough that everyone might enjoy it. It's short and sweet...an engineer from Gigabyte overclocks an Intel processor to 7ghz!!! What I thought was so amazing, (and quite utilitarian), was the way they used liquid nitrogen to cool the processor block down.It's quite a fly on the wall type video but interesting. Mods, if you want to move this post have no regrets. Just don't judge me to harshly for wanting to have a bit of fun :)Mark

At LFPG simwings 2005 I have discovered some texture bleed (mainly on runways). I am using France VFR and that is what is bleeding through the Simwings airport. How can I fix this.I believe there is a problem with the Mega Airport LFPG 2008 as well with France VFR.Daniel

Hello allI have deleted all my assignments in FS as I use the key combinations for external controls etc, but F10, left cursor, and X on the keyboard have somehow been assigned to tasks I haven't selected.FS Keyboard commands tell me that F10 is for Kneeboard hide/display but actually is set for PAUSE, left cursor is select item 1,this scrolls across the menu bar in FS, and X is switch to standby frequency,and this switches between cockpit view and virtual cockpit. None of these are assigned anywhere I can see and was wondering if anyone had any idea how I can resolve this. They are interfering with other controls I have assigned!I would be very grateful for any advice or…

Hello allDoes anyone know the reason why the throttles would be in the advanced position when nothing has been touched? I use PMDG and have been experiencing assignment issues and uninstalled and reinstalled PMDG but now this is happening in the Default aircraft too. It's time once again to start recruiting and preparations for the annual Flight Simulator Race Around the World!Starting February 19th (time yet unknown), 4 FS-related forums will launch teams on an epic relay race around the world. These are: Avsim.com, Flightsim.com, Sim-Outhouse.com and iflyonline.com. Flights are flown in either FS9 or FSX, using piston-powered props or twin-engine turboprops or even helicopters, and each have a maximum duration of 2 hours (flown in 100% real-time), in order to advance the virtual 'baton' across all 7 continents (excluding Antarctica).
