Hi,Don't know if this is possible, but worth asking. I want to be able to adjust my own timezone discrepancies without having to download (or rely) on other people's add-ons.I'm curious where in the default FS9 folder I can find the file that controls the timezones? Can I open this with a text program like 'Word Pad', or something similar?Alaska should be all one time zone, and the simulator has it divided into several.Thanks,-- John

HiI've been out of the FS game for sometime and want to get back into it!Apologies to bring up yet another POSKY 777/PSS Merge thread, however, after trawling through forums, I haven't been able to find a recent merge for the POSKY 777 using their latest Version G (Dec 2010) FDE update, with the PSS Panel.Can anyone kindly supply me with a working merge?Many thanks in advance.

How can I change the sound volume of gear_up, gear_down, flaps, etc in the sound.cfg file? I replaced a gear_up sound with a new one and the volume is very loud. I tried to edit the max and min values in the sound.cfg but I am not achieving what I want. Is there an SDK for FS9 sounds?Thanks for any help!Airbus

Since the PSS product (unfortunately the Level D doesn't have it) has weather radar (I have the 777 and 757), this is keeping me on FS9. I will still pay for products using FS2004.

At night, the ai and my aircraft have black textures. During the day, dusk, or dawn, the textures show up. Any way to fix this?

I've always wanted to know this but have always forgotten to ask. What aircraft lights does one use and at which time? In other words, are you required to use taxi lights when taxiing? When do you turn your nav light into a strobe light? Do you have to use your landing lights when taking off...etc. Is there any clear list of rules to follow on this? Please advise and thanks!Mark

I've just created a new box for FS9. It's only an i5 Core 3.32mhz box but that works well with FS9. So I went ahead and did a re-install of the FSD Cessna 337 and cannot hear the engines from within the cockpit. What's even stranger is that when I am in view mode, (Keyboard S), I can hear the engines from both directly in front and directly behind the aircraft. When I am viewing the aircraft from the side then it's complete silence.I've never encountered an issue like this before and would appreciate any assistance that you could offer. This may be a dumb question, but in light of a recent problem I want to ask it. I am using 28 payware airports, the complete FSGenesis library, UTUSA, UTCanada/Alaska, UTEurope, The UTCity/FSGLandclass sandwich, GEPro and ActiveSky/Graphics 6.5. On top of that, all of the aircraft I fly are payware such as LDS, PMDG, JustFlight/PSS, LEONARDO MD-82, etc.. In other words, I have a lot of extra things going on in my FS9 (and a lot of $$ invested over time :( ). Recently I've had a problem with my computer locking up/freezing on a certain flight segment. Specifically, KDAL to KMDW on descent, about 45 miles SW of KMDW when approaching 10,000 feet. At first I thought it…

Has anyone else had this happen? I had the patched version of Flightsim Manager, and all was working ok without having to change the date. For the last 2 days it will not load & run. I tried removing everything, then installed ver 2.8.5, then added the patch. The same thing happens. Since this is around the time the original program quit working, Iwas wondering if the patched version was some how not working also.Rickps: when you try and run it, nothing happens....no errors, nothing...like you didn't even tell it ti start!

HELLOi have a problem after i installed PSS-B757 on my flight simulator 2004 ( 9.1 ), that when i start my game and i choose PSS-B757 from ( Create Flight ) the flight simulator quit and send me out ,i have installed this aircraft by set up .exe file and im using full advantages of I.0 G graphic card memory and my reslution is 1360X760 , please i need guideline for this issue Thanks.

Hi all, I've been running MegaScenery Northern California for quite some time and have always experienced frame rate issues with Cloud9's KLAX. If I park the default Cessna 172 at any of the E gates my frame rate drops to around 20fps when I look north towards Mt. Wilson. If I look to the south towards PV, then the frame rates jump back up to around 30fps.I cannot find any default MegaScenery SoCal objects that are specific to KLAX. So the question is this is there a BGL that holds any KLAX information that I need to remove when using MegaScenery and Cloud9? Please advise and thanks!Mark

This is..not what I had in mind....My Fs2004 currently have FSGlobal 2010+BlueSky's Las Vegas terrain texture+JTACOF package final for KLAS airport.From scenery library,JTACOF KLAS is on top,then Bluesky,and finally FSGlobal all the way to the bottom.These are what I have done so far and still no luck at all!-Disable bluesky texture in the scenery library -->didn't work-Enable Bluesky and disable JTACOF KLAS --> didn't work-Disable both bluesky+JTACOF KLAS -->didn't work,infact it stayed the same as it was, the JTACOF airport was still there!!!I've spent all evening+night and definately give up for now Just found out it also happens to others airports,at least f…

While playing FS9 in windowed mode, the AA setting I chose from Catalyst Control Center doesn't affect FS9. However, the changes appear in full screen. Is there a way to enable the AA setting from CCC in windowed mode?

So I recently installed FS9 again after using FSX for a while. I have all my addons installed and all my information setup. The problem I am coming to now that I completely don't understand is that I have the same aircraft in FSX and FS9 and I get better frame rates in FSX (I kid you not). The frame rates are good in any view other than the virtual cockpit. Once in there my frames go to about 13-20 range. I get 25-30 in fsx! I have REX, FS GLOBAL, Ultimate Terrain, Zinertek Water, Ground Environment Pro, and many sceneries for airports. I've been wanting to fly the Ifly 737 but just haven't been able to getting 10-15 and sometimes lower. Is there any setting I need to ch…

Does anybody know why fs9 would suddenly go from (about) 60% CPU in the task manager to 20% and the system idle process simultaneously go from 40% to 60% for no reason. As a result my frame rates go from between 70 - 150 down to 19 - 25. Nothing else is running. It seems like fs9 in voluntarily giving-up CPU power for no reason. The whole time its only using half my RAM (3 gigs). Then it will reverse again and I'll be back at 70 - 150 FPS. When I quit fs my system idle process of course goes right to 99. Can anybody tell me what is going on and maybe how to stop the madness???Thanks, rich

Hello all,I have a new problem with FS9 now, a CTD on Startup. Well then again, my last problem haha.When i am flying and i want to open the map @ the menu bar ( so i can see where i am actually ) it opens up the i see it but then i can't do anything. can't return to the flight, can't zoom in/out, actually NOTHING. after some 15 to 20 seconds it says. FS2004 can't run any more. wait a few seconds when windows restars fs2004.And then. Everything is gone. Full flight what i made. Please someone, help me with this problem. so i can fly again. Without ANY problems.

Is there a way to code the panel.cfg file so that one on the Windows opens on the #2 monitor? As it is, everything opens on #1 and then has to be unlocked and dragged to the other monitor.(I've found variations of this question on the forum, but no answer yet.)Many thanks!

Hello,have spent the last 5 hours learning this bird, and have run into a problem, I cant steer the thing!It has a permanent deflection of -26 degrees to the left (as seen in the FMC maint. section) which means all i do is go around in left hand circles!Besides pissing me off, the pax are getting dizzy.I have assigned "centre rudder and aileron control" in FSUIPC button assignments as well as rudder steering, and they do work but when i press them it just immediately sets itself back to the permanent left deflection.For what its worth, and this may have bearing on the problem, all other aircraft i fly within the sim, be it payware or freeware, start off the taxi with this…

I was looking around their web page "AI Optimizer support" area and the only topic was welcome.Has anybody here used this product yet?Since most WOAI freeware files used low lod, maybe this product would not help out much? Any clues anyone?
