I will likely need to do a reinstall (or repair) on the same PC but would like to keep my add-ons. I have a huge installation (91GB) so reinstalling everything (AND customizing thereafter) is a pain...trying to avoid that...I remember reading a how-to a while back but cannot find it any more..Any tips or pointers would be very welcome....Thanks

Hi all, was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem as myself and have a fix for the NAV Lights not working after awhile on the PSS/POSKY Merge 777 300. When flying a trip between YSSY and KLAX i noticed the NAV lights had ceased to work and I could not turn them on again, i simply had to reload the aircraft for them to work again but not 10 mins later the same problem arrised. Can anyone help?

Finally not the small ball or the supernova but a sun that is actually shining and looks like the real thing.It is part of the new Sandon Lyon package (Real H2O). Bloom was not used here.Alex

Hi,I bought a AMD quad core a few weeks ago and got it fitted last night upgrading from my AMD dual core. It is the 955 at 3.2 GHZ. For some reason, I am only getting 25 FPS in FS9 but as soon as Squawkbox opens, it drops down to 19. Any help on settings please or anything that could increase FPS.ThanksDale

I searched the avsim forum and found a lot of people having issues with flickering textures in the ISD sceneries. My issue is the scenery looks fine when it comes ot the airport, etc, however with LIRF and LIMC I have big white boxes, kind of like when you dont have rwy 12 objects installed or certain tree files with some scenery. The thing is I dont anywhere where added textures are needed in the readme files of ISD. Anyone else have the issue?Also, for LIML, is there anyway to delete the static acft on the ramp?Thanks.Drew

Hi guys, I'm having a little issue with with this aircraft, its probably a easy explanation and i feel kinda silly asking this but here goes.I set everything correctly in the FMC for my flight, However after departure i select a heading to turn to and the aircraft will turn.. I have the display set on MAP so it shows the route that i set in the FMC.. but the heading it shows me on doesn't match what i selected, also at the top next to the heading it says TRK... Now if i turn the selection to APP.. it will show the heading i selected on the autopilot correctly but i cannot see the route i have set.. I might be doing something wrong but i'm not sure. I've been playing with the E-jets (V1) 170/190/Legacy. Works well and is a lot of fun. But, I'm not impressed with the documentation and having been working with a tutorial. I can't find out how to make the NAV radios revert back to auto-tune once I manually tune them. How do I do so?Thanks!John Powers

Hi,OK, this is a question I always wanting to ask but now is the chance. Why does the FS backcourse heading for an airport wrong because whenever I land my aircraft with the backcourse heading it usually is like a few meters away from the runway and normally crashes into the airport or aircraft which was taxing. Does anybody know how to fix it and why is this?Thank You

I'm trying to create a unique minipanel to appear when I use the W key. From what I've read, the only way to do this is to create a new Window in the Panel.cfg with an ident=minipanel. I've done that, and it indeed overrides the FS9 default minipanel, but the gauges I've listed don't appear. (On the first W click, I only have the straight-ahead scenery.) Any suggestions?Thanks!

My friends have sadly moved away to Northern Ireland today, and now I am looking to fly to Belfast and pay them a virtual visit. I have seen Belfast Xtreme from UK2000, but would like to find a freeware scenery if possible. Can anybody recommend a decent scenery for FS2004 (or potentially FS2002) for EGAA and/or EGAC? I have seen new sceneries for both airports for FSX, but is there any chance these would work in FS2004? Thanks.

I have the kneeboard add-on Fs Online Center. NONE of the liveatc.net feeds work. I went to LiveAtc.ner and no working neither. I have windows media player 11 on windows xp sp3 using FS2004. Anyone else with this issue? If so, is there a fix? Please provide me for a fix.

Hello fellow forum members, i`ve got a question about the fs9 version of the cs 757. I already have posted in the unofficial Captain Sim support forum but there are not many visitors over there, so i thought i`ll ask the same question here. So i recently purchased this plane and it looks great. On to the question, i would like to manually take off and do the climb to cruising altitude. The only thing i want the autopilot to do is to mantain a given airspeed. Can someone please explain how to do this; which buttons and/or switches do i have to use to make this happen.Cheers, Wilco

Hello,Im trying to get facetracknoir setup, I have the faceapi demo installed, and also facetracknoir with the uodate.The problem is when i start FTN it says in the settings portion of the FACEAPI section that it is initializing, and doesnt change. Also the video screen in the bottom left corner of the program is just black and never shows my face. I know it isnt my webcam as when i try it using faceAPI demo my face is clearly visible.Any ideas what may be the problem.Does faceAPI have to be installed in the facetracknoir folder?P.S im running win7 64bit.Thanks

After all the flying, tweaking, and reading I've done over the years, you'd think I would know this...but it still makes me crazy.I'm talking about FS9 screenies or videos that look so real you have to look twice to make sure it's really the sim. Has anyone found a way to program the throttle quadrant to simulate condition levers for turbo-prop aircraft?

Just curious to know if PAD's FS2004 Dash 8 panel and sounds will work in FS2002? I've searched both AVSIM's and FlightSim.com's file libraries for a good FS2002 Dash 8 100/200/300 panel but the pickings are pretty sim! In fact, I've only found one, dhc8v09.zip, which isn't bad and is a good approximation of PAD's Dash 8 FS2004, but I get a message saying that one of the gauge files may not be compatible with FS2002 whenever I load an aircraft using it. It *appears* to work ok (at least on the ground!) but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. I'd rather use PAD's panel if it will work in FS2002. Of course, if anyone knows of a FS2002 Dash 8 panel as good as PAD's F…

Has anyone done a complete instructional video or transcript (step by step) on how to install FS9 & X on windows 7 with trouble shooting for install problems? Checking out all the various forums, to include this one, leads one to believe it's going to be a hair puller, nail biting, primal scream sort of thing.Sorry about the title, it should read "Install FS9 & X into windows 7".

Does anyone know how to format lat/long coordinates so that the FSC flightplan will accept them. For example, "3500N 02000W"I'm just used to using the NAT format of XXXXN but am unsure of how to convert these fll coordinates into the abbreviated version that FSC will recognise.

Hi everyone, I've recently noticed this problem, specifically for Flytampa KSFO (the same problem is much less noticable at other airports). The Flytampa developers seem to make alot of use of LOD to keep the framerates high, so for example gates and other objects disappear when you're not close to them. That's fine, but the problem is the whole airport disappears when you're only like 10 or 12 miles away (see screenshots). This is completely reproducable, eg. if you slew back and forth through the "threshold distance" the airport disappears then reappears.
