I have just realized that my long time favourite free weather engine - FSMetar - (which I liked a lot most of all because of the unbelievably packed cloud ceilings it created without any tweaks whatsoever) suffers from the old problem of depicting the 10SM visibility in US METARs as ... 10 SM visibility. As we know 10 SM METAR report in the US means 'at least' 10 SM and is similar in nature to the 9999 report in Europe.I have just not been flying in the US lately so have not realized this especially since FSMETAR depicts 9999 as a random vis between 30 sm and 50 sm which looks very good. Hi, I'm a total newbie to FS2004, or any FS game for that matter and only recently become addicted to it, so much so that I've actually completed several round the world flights in real time. Having said that I find the generic/default aircraft sounds totally irritating, unrealistic and boring. Most of my models are POSKY i.e. AI, CX 773ER, SV A333, MAS, VS, SIA 744, PIA, SV 743, IR A300, 732, QR A332, 772LR, PIA A310, 772ER, SIA A380 etc. I asked a friend about downloading sound packages and he told me to search for them in the file library so I found what I needed for the relevant models, downloaded and saved them onto my USB to transfer them to my laptop (where my FS20…

Hi all,I run FS9 on Windows XP-32 with S.Pack-3, I have a registerd Fsuipc copy and I almost only fly LD-767 and PMDG-737&747. I also use Gamebooster and AVG antivirus with main functions deactivated before starting FS9. The problem is that when I move backwards the joystick (Thrustmaster T-Flight Stick X) for rotation FS9 freezes for a fraction of second.Edit: To be more precise, the micro-freezing takes place when the aircraft is already in some nose up attitude, say 2 or 3 degrees. Hi allFirst off, almost all my airliners have the groundhandling gauge in them which I use for pushabck - a really great addon! However, fairly recently I remember downloading a freeware aifrcaft the had a built-in pushback which was partially operated by the rudder pedals. I took it out for some reason & then the other day I thought I'd look at that system more closely. Only one problem - I cant, for the life of me, remember which model it was, & can't find it in my backups!Anyone have any idea which aircraft it might have been - or panel or gauge?Thanks

HelloI have just accidentally wiped a very long post praising MY traffic 2006 (the now freeware download of a couple of weeks ago) bl..dy hell its irritating when you do thatTo précisIf your PC is A little grey around the USB ports ,then I would thoroughly recommend this program.I can run significantly more AI than I could with my old prog Traffic 2005 with a greater performance as well.My PC P4 2.8GHz ,GForce 6600GT ,1GB ram.So if your PC is a pensioner like mine ,but you like your AI then MY Traffic is a good bet for you, if it is still available I would get it.Andy

Hello, when i try to open and the flight 1 atr configuation manager im getting the run time error 429. Ive tried all the fixes in the flight 1 forum but none of them seem to be working. Any help appreciated on this. Thanks.

In my dual monitor setup, I often open a second window in cockpit view (with the [ key), unlock it and then move it to the other monitor. The objective is to use the second monitor as the left- (or right-) hand cockpit side window, to keep a constant eye on the runway on the downwind and base legs. But to do this, I have to first give focus to the "side window" monitor, then press and hold the Num4 (or 6) key. My question: is there a way to essentially freeze or hold the Num4 (or 6) key view, so that the side window view stays put until I release it?Thanks!

Hi Everybody,Yesterday I installed FS2004 on my computer and afterwards the PMDG 747-400 Queen of the skies expansion. I was surprised how easy it was! The only problem I am now having is that there are no SIDs/STARs loaded in the FMS database. So it is not possible to fly a SID or STAR, I can only fly along self inserted points. The FMS knows these points, so I think the FMS must also contain SIDs and STARs?I signed up today on this site. I have been looking in many parts of the forum for the past few days, but I can not find an answer to my question. I would really appreciate some help!! :-)Kind regards,Remco

Hello, i am quite familiar with fsuipc, but the one thing i cant figure out is how to properly set it up to pan in the VC with my hat switch on the ch yoke.I disable the default fs controls for my joysticks and have all controld configured through fsuipc, except for the vc.What is the proper way of setting fsuipc to be able to pan while in VC, ALso is there a way to speed up the pan rate, as editing the cfg pan rate to a high value i dont think it would affect the Fsuipc pan speed?Thanks

Greetings,I have merged the PSS Panel & Qualitywings B757 model & liveries according to the instructions I found in the Avsim library. It works pretty well. The problems are that I get no takeoff callouts, no altitude alert callout (light on altimeter comes on) but I get double callouts on approach. I am using the QW sound folders. This is a FS9 with WinXP SP3. Any thoughts? Thanks.Pat

I have yet to see anyone done a paint for this. If i had the skills and the time(aside from flying in the real thing) I would have. My question is, is there anyone willing to make a good paint of the spirit NC a320 IAE model for FS9/FSX? if so, it would be greatly appreciated. Here are some pix.

Hi, I have FS2004 installed on a Good Gaming pc, with Rex, NL2000 V3, PMDG 737, Ground Evironment, Mutch Aerosoft's addons, and SKAI TRAFFIC v2.3 installed.My problem is, when i am @ a gate with a pmdg 737-800 on London Heathrow, with Every sliders on max on fs2004 i just get frams around the 18, 16, 17, 19, Frames per second. I think that's really wird with my pc, here are some Specs: -i7 870 @ 2.93 ghz, -ATI Raedon 5870 Direct x 11 -6 GB RAM.Please, Somebody help me ?

I have FS9 installed on my system and I can not run the program in windowed mode only full screen mode.If I run in windowed mode I can not change views and no pop up panels will work.This is only in windowed mode, in full screen everything works fine but running in full screen is a drain on my system. I was hoping someone might have a clue as what could be going on?My specs are below and I will try and attach a pic of Nivida Inspector driver screen as these are the latest video drivers. Sirs: I recently Installed 747-400 into FS2004,(I have had FSX version for years) and found I like FS2004 better. Now i'm faced with a small problem. I can't seem to be able to Uninstall my Liveries in the regular manner (Control Panel / Uninstall a program.) The liveries remain in my Downloads folder. Question "How do I uninstall them". I'm in the process of rebuilding an Air Force base where I was stationed in the 60's. It was changed from SAC to ATC and the new layout in FS2004 is much different than I remember it. Two things I need to find out is; 1.) can the takeoff direction of an aircraft (or the airfield) be changed? In 2004, takeoffs are in the opposite direction of most flights in the 60's? and,2.) is there a way to accurately place buildings along the flight line?I'm still kind of new to this stuff, and any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been using AFCAD to modify the runways, etc., but don't know where to start on these two questions.Jim H

FS9 hangs when starting from KSEA Loading scenery objects 0%If FS9 is started from other airport or loading flight FS9 is running normal. I made new Default flight KFSO and FS9 is working OK but if I start flight from KSEA FS9 hangs.I look from Taskmanager and it says that FS9 is not responding.

Has anyone else got the Pulkovo (ULLI) files from here?:http://www.ulll.nm.ru/files.htmlThere are 26 airports in addition to ULLI - and all have trees and buildings covering the runways, aprons, taxiways. I don't get it. I know the files are not compatible with other ULLI sceneries, but even when I add the scenery to a default FS9 scenery.cfg file (i.e. with no other addons included, just FS9 'out of the box') I still get all the clutter at the airports. I can only get rid of it by removing all the files (total of 44) in the Pulkovo/scenery folder with "LS_" in them, but they must be there for a reason.Anyone able to help?Thanks,Martin

Some Asian scenery is placed on sites that are almost secret no one knows about them. I tried to get Phuket scenery but you have to be registered.....I want to get the Ku Ching scenery but I don't know where it is?There is a marvelous scenery for Kota Kinabalu on Avsim. Has anyone managed to get it working as there is a lamp post that runs through my runway.Hong Kong is self explanatory.Maybe any of you who have Asian scenery installed can post some scenery links and whether it is good or not? Tips anyone?
