Hi,OK, when I change views or press the ALT key to do something FS2004 always goes to a black screen for like 5 to 10 seconds. I have my framerates as unlimited on FS2004.My computer is a:HP PavillionAMD Athlon II X2 215 Processor 2.70Ghz3GB RAM64 bitI've got the addons:Aerosoft HeathrowAerosoft Paris CDGFS RecoderFS PassengersPro Flight EmulatorWorld of ai trafficIs there anything that you can help?

Can someone please clarify as to what this setting actually does?I have tried it on/off without any discernible difference in performance/visuals.Regards,Dimitri.

Hi everyone,I hope I've put this on the proper board.I've just got FS Global 2010X (FS2004)and one instruction is puzzling me:'..Do not forget to also remove the appropriate scenery layers in scenery library within FS.' I've found the Scenery.cfg file & Layer=1 thru to 39, like this> [Area.001]Title=Default TerrainTexture_ID=1Layer=1Active=TRUERequired=TRUELocal=Scenery\WorldRemote= is it these numbers I delete or the whole line..Layer=1 ...?

I was stumbling around the internet looking for an updated Magnetic Variation file for FS9 (The one from the Avsim library was from 2005) and I found this website. http://hsors.pagesperso-orange.fr/index.htmlIt has all the current active navaids in Asia, Africa, South America and Europe in .BGL format. (As you may know most of the world's navaids are missing in the default FS9) It also has a MagVar file for 2010 and a navaids editor.

I am trying to get Yannick Lavigne's FS2002 Falcon 50 to work in FS9. For the most part it works, but I am getting a YLF50_Overhead.gau error. Does anyone know to fix this?

hello all,I recently built a home sim pit which still an on going thing, but every once in awhile i get the urge to fly circuits or just mess around and was just curious as to what your favorite freewAre circuit basher is.i have a fresh fs9 install and only one add-on aircraft that my simpit is built around, i am not really interestex in having too many addon aircraft in my hangerf, just something cool to kill an hour here and there when im feelin the urge for some G/A'ing :)thanks

But the problem is, there is a rudder lock on it...so how am I supposed to turn the aircraft? Why would there be a rudder lock in the first place? This might sound like a n00bish question but I really want to fly this thing but it wont help not knowing how to turn it on the ground.

So I was updating a system with some new memory and discovered that I still had the Microsoft Indexing service running on it. I use this older system for FS9 and don't really want the indexing service tying up memory when it could be going to the sim. (By the way, if anyone knows of a valid reason to keep it enabled or if FS9 even uses it then do tell)Anyway, I disabled the indexing service via the services.msc app and went ahead and disabled it on all of the drives in the system. There is a file attribute which XP clears on each individual file when turning off indexing on a drive so it does hit each individual file. Low and behold as XP was changing the file attributes …

I'm really disappointed that on my new computer with 12 Gigabits of RAM that I still am getting OOM error mgs on a 1 1/2 hour flight? I did get these OOM error mgs on an older computer with 4 GB RAM, BUT why would I still get them with 3 TIMES more memory, 12 GB ????? Thanks jerrycwo4

My old deck top died . Lost the hard drive with no backups. I replaced my old system with a Dell XPS sx8100, windows 7 (64). FSX runs perfectly. FS9.1 will not allow me to undock a window bso that I can move it to another screen. The word "undock" is a lighter shade and will not funtion. Anyone have any ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Happy new year guys,I am watching Justplane video. I can see the pilots have added the international day line into FMC on a trans-pacific flight and it is shown on their NDS. I am wondering if I can do the same thing on PSS 777. ThanksDanny

Hi all;Before I began using FSUIPC to program flight controls etc. I always setup a button to reset my altimeter. Since moving to FSUIPC I am unable to find a way to do that now. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?. Thanks in advance...........................John

I'm making a couple of sceneries and I desperately need modern RN warships and Royal Fleet Auxiliaries. I've got Invincible class carriers, Type 23 Frigates and HMS Ocean. What I really need is a Type 42 destroyer and RFA Argus but I'll take anything I can get my hands on. I'm starting a 2nd "thread" on this because this reply might get lost at the bottom of the 1st thread I wrote a couple of days ago. I'll take the blame. On re-reading my first post I did NOT mention that my new OS system WAS Windows 7(64 bit) and not Windows XP (not on my new computer anyway). If I tell you that it is a duel boot system ( which it is) that will just cloud the issue. My new computer was custom made and it was made to run FS2004 and FSX on Windows 7 (64 bit) and not Windows XP. Hello,I hope you all had a merry christmas and I did too with my Call of Duty Black Ops.Anyways I have been planning a flights now that I can fly heavy, medium and small aircrafts. My air traffic is on 100% and I have nearly all of World-of-ai traffic. The problem is that I usually do IFR Clearence which the ATC approves but sometimes when I taxi another aircraft just comes out of no where and taxis through me like there was nothing there and I also have my crash effect on but it doesn't do nothing. However sometimes the ATC tells me to hold short so I don't know why that happens. Secondly when I've taxied and hols short of the runway after an aircraft takes off or lands,…

I'm trying to install fs9 on my new computer with windows 7 and I'm running into problems. The installation gets to about 77% (looks like scenery .cab files) and says that it is unable to locate folders and I had to abort. Any ideas on why this is happening? The computer is very capable and installs and runs fine on my old xp machine.

Hi there,I've been a lurker at the forums here on avsim for some years, and am quite pleased (in a way) that I finally have something to post :-) My problem is really vexxing me, and I hope that you can get to the bottom of it because I can't lol.For years I have run FSX no problems, but switched to fs9/2004 to get better frame rates. Up until recently my fs9 was running no problems, but the last few times I have flown, the folllowing is happening:-- when I taxi the aircraft nose is drifting (not steering I think) either left or right by itself.-- on take off and landing roll I am constantly having to apply rudder just to stay on the runway.I find this freaky, I have not …

Hi,I've been using the ultimate terrain Europe & US packages for many years now along with GE and Global mesh. I was wondering if it's possible to get the 3D street lights to show up in other areas like Asia, Middle East, Africa etc. If not are there any other packages that can do the same outside Europe and the US?Thanks

Every time I try and land my posky-pss aircraft, the spoilers seem to deploy then retract, as if the plane has touched down and but AP recognizes it is still in the air.There seems to be some conflict between the pss panel and the posky model can anyone help?
