After a period of abscence I am returning to fly FS9 but on a laptop. Just wondering what spec to get so that I fly the PMDG B744. Last time I tried this on a friends laptop it kept crashing to desktop, although the default aircraft were fine.Appreciate any help guys.Many thanks,Chris EGBB

I've seen posts relating to starting engines on the PSS 757 and 777 in cold weather - but I have an additional problem. I cannot set t/o thrust when temperatures are below 0 centigrade. As soon as I spool up, the power drops back to idle. No matter whether using EPR or TOGA. In fact, I can only maintain a full thrust by pressing F4, and as soon as I let go of that key, the power drops off. Needless to say, this is unflyable. Any fix, or do I simply abandon this aircraft until the spring and summer? BTW, also using AS6.5 for real-world weather. Thanks.

Sometimes, after clicking on the cursor button on the GPS, FS9 will crash and take Windows with it. This used to happen to me all the time with WinXP, years ago, but it just happened on a completely different setup on a different computer running Vista. Any suggestions?

I have been searching the net for a while for Lake Como scenery. Apparently this is VFR and before FSX came out. Maybe someone knows where it is or even has it somewhere? I have France VFR alps Nord and would like to get this. I may even buy the Switzerland Professional to complete the alps.Found this Cloud9 but I assume it was a freeware scenery? When I take off in the Iris t-6a with one notch of flaps (takeoff cfg) it takeoff fine but when I raise the flaps the plane sinks very drastically and I have to fly nose up to keep altitude. And when I drop the flaps to land, it balloons (more like shoots) the plane upward at a very un realistic rate. What can I do to quell the effects of the flaps. What file do I edit? Thanks! -Pete

Avsim just announced the 737-800 DVD from Flight Sim Norway and Ed Ocampo gives us a nice review. So how do we purchase this item???!!! Flight Sim Norway only sells it to Norway,Sweden,Denmark. Is there a link that sells outside Scandinavia? --Jim

I have a Thrustmaster Joystick/throttle but when I use it, it doesn't seem accurate when I slide the throttle. Or even I have to recalibrate almost each time I fly because the aircraft doesn't life off the ground or the nose goes way up. Is there a good throttle/joystick combo? One that lasts more than 12 months?

Anyone know of any edit to the aircraft files that I can do to smooth out the elevator trim in the Aeroworx B200. Just touching the trim has the plane jumping all over the place. Thanks for any help

I'm using a 64 bit win 7 os on a high end Falcon northwest system. I hooked up a second 23" montior and windows detected it right away. My question is how do you make fs9 use both monitors? My book on 7 says you can't drag a full window to the second monitor. Alt tab just shrinks it. I have 20 years worth of games and my nascar and flight sims would be nice on to screens.Help!

Hi to all. I have alot of AI traffic and their all airlines that fly to and from heathrow. Now the takoff que is always huge and that side of the airport always busy. But there seems to be alot less arrivals. It can go 10 mins or so without a landing with maybe 10 or 11 takeoffs in that time. Hope use can help. Rob

Hi,Ok, I have FS2004 and I have World-of-AI as my traffic. When I go to select my aircraft there a number of AI aircrafts in there which I don't fly and don't have no panels or anything. This is also making it hard to find an aircraft that I've installed. Is there a way to delete them from the aircraft list?Thank You

Hi,I run FS2004 as adminstrator but when I open it FS2004 starts quick and doesn't lag on the options or when it loads a flight. But when it finish loading a flight it takes 1 minute or 2 minutes maximum to be normal and when I press ALT for something it takes another 1 minute. Greetings fellow PNW simmers. I'm having trouble with some border areas between the a fore mentioned sceneries. I'm hoping someone out there is running the same combination and can shed some light on the problem. My problem is in the bordering areas between FZ02 and CRG. Specifically around Oregon City and the Clackamas river through Estacada. Here is a screenshot of Oregon City looking west.The Willamette river and all roads and whatnot disappears below Willamette falls (visible in the left side of the window). What is the Justflight PSS A340 (and A330) like? I feel I bought the wrong aircraft with CLS (Lite!) as the CLS is not really what I wanted if the PSS has a dedicated CDU linked FMS.Or if there is other Airbus versions you have bought please let me know your thoughts.

Dear Forumers,I've ran out of idea on how to fix my TCAS problem. I dont know what went wrong until one day when I start FS9, Flight1ATR/Wilco A320 and Wilco 737-400, the TCAS is no longer working.Not showing any traffic even though i fly nearby. I've tried re-install the FSUIPC and even register it. The problem still the same. I didnt make any modifications or install any add-on prior to this problem. After downloading and installing the CoPilot Pro upgrade and trying to run it, CoPilot Pro crashed while trying to build a scenery database for FS2004. When I try to run CoPilot Pro from a fresh system startup it tries to load my system files for several minutes (but I'm not sure its reading all of them) then tries to build the database. At this point it is immediately interrupted and I get the Microsoft error message "CoPilot Pro encountered a problem and had to terminate...." message. If I try to run CoPilot Pro again without restarting my system it crashes almost immediately after beginning to create a database for FS2004. It will try again to load my FS2004 scener…

Hello! I have a problem with night. All the taxiways and runways seem to always be illuminated or as if they are glow in the dark. I can clearly see runway numbers, runway markings, etc even though its in the middle of the night with no moon. I want them to be black with just runway/taxiway lights visible. I also notice all my aircraft are nice and bright at night as well. Does anyone know how to make night more like night?Thanks.
