Hi all.For a while I have not been able to fly over the pond. When I set up a flight plan from JFK to Heathrow and for that matter anywhere on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean the fligjht plan points me in the opposite direction. In other words I have to cercum navigate the planet to get to London lol. Can anyone point me in the right direction or tell me what's causing the problem please.............John

Hey all!Does anyone have any suggestions for something to house my joystick and throttle on a budget?This kind of thing:http://images.hayneedle.com/mgen/digimarc.ms?img=master:HTC017.jpg&h=400&w=400I have a little desk at home and have to juggle the joystick and throttle combo as well as the keyboard with virtually no space! Would be nice to have them either side of me, but can’t afford a couple of hundred pounds for it! Has anyone made their own? Or knows of a workaround?

I just went through the manual of the PSS 757 looking for a procedure to re-start engines (when you swap aircraft midflight you end up with engines not running). during flight in case of flame out or other incident.I suppose emergency procedures and checklists aren't included in some flight sim products.Can someone offer a simple procedure or explanation or direct me to a resource?

In the generally excellent PSS 777, I am puzzled by the lack of a "TRK-MAG" display mode on the Navigation Display. It is constantly in HDG-MAG mode and cannot be changed to TRK-MAG as in the Boeing 747-400 by PMDG, no matter which of the four nav display types you select (APP-VOR-MAP-PLN). When flying in LNAV in MAP mode in the PSS 777, the magenta track line is displayed. but because of winds aloft the track line is always angled away from the head-up or 12-noon position as a result of always showing the HDG-MAG mode. There is a HDG-TRK reference switch on the MCP in the 777 that I can click, and while that works, the Nav Display still only shows HDG-MAG mode.Am I do…

Had a MAJOR crash on my system this week and had to completly reformat and restore my Hard Drive (**@@@**) Got flight 2004 reinstalled. Problem lies with Fly Tampa San Diego. Installed it went into scenery libary and added it , it shows up in scenery libary and am told to restart fs2004. I do but when I go into the scenery Libary it not listed. Did I miss an edit to some config file that I've forgotten after all this time. Same exact thing happens with FlyTampa SFO. Thanks for any help.

How come they are not the same on both sides? 1 side has light on whole engine side casing but the other side does not...

I was wondering what airports in San Diego And los Angeles if you were to hire a charter plane (Say a King Air or small business jet like the falcon 50) would they fly into. Don't think it would be the main airports (Ksan, Klax) would it? Trying to setup some realistic flights. Thanks.

Hi everyone, I recently bought the iFly 737 and am having trouble with my auto thrust and N1 settings. When I am climbing, I set the mach airpeed to .69 as I climb through the flightlevels. However, the mach reading on the bottom of the airspeed indicator tape indicates a mach speed of only .47. I don't know why that happens. Also when I turn the auto throttles off, and set my throttle manually to the N1 limit it does not let me go to the max N1 limit. Ex.) I have an N1 limit of 95% and when I go full throttle manually the actual N1 reading is 89%. Please halp!

I've been using a plantronics headset for the past 4 yrs and am experiencing a discernable "growl" when other pilots/ATC key their mics in squawkbox. I updated the sound driver with no luck so I am looking for a headset (USB) that works well within vista 64bit environment and VATSIM with squawkbox. Any suggestions?ThanksRich Perry

I have previously done a list of 100 best freeware for FS2004. Now I wish to do a USA best freeware airports.I'll give a European example since I will leave it to others to name. FreeZ (Zurich) is one of the most amazing add-ons I have (that is not payware). I remember years ago looking for a freeware in Avsim's library of Zurich for FS2004 and couldn't find anything, so it is a blessing to have such projects shared by those willing to give of their time.

Hello,I know how to take off but A340'S are the ones I'm focusing now ater Boeing 747-400. I know you slowly pull the stick at about 140kts but on this A340 I slowly pull the stick on 140kts but it the nose doesn't go up but I kept on pulling up at about 180kts but the nose went up slowly but the aircraft over ran the runway and crashed into the building. By the way I set my flaps to 10. Does anybody know whats going wrong with my takeoff or aircraft?The other thing is that once I took off (this was some lucky day) I went to about 2000ft and engaged the autopilot to 11000ft and 280kts however the aircraft just stalls and falls to the ground. I am interested in upgrading some of my FS9 textures, particularly the stock airport building textures and my Flight Environment clouds. I have been researching a little bit, and I am thinking about getting Zinertek's Ultimate Weather FX and Airport Environment. The Flight Environment clouds are great for fps, but they are getting old. I hope that Zinertek will be frame rate friendly as well (as is advertised on their website). I was wondering if anyone could comment on the quality of these two products (I have their Ultimate Water Advanced, and I'm highly satisfied with it). Also, is there a better product (perhaps even freeware) that enhances airport buildings and cloud…

In AVSIM's library are some files (photoreal) for Columbus Ohio. I am only getting grey tiles as the 'instructions' and the download files are confusing.Really there are no 'instructions' to install it apart from 'like anoyther scenery' (spelling sic).Has anyone managed to work it out or should I just trash the whole thing?Daniel

What is the current update status of this product for fs9? I read there were many problems and disappointed customers at the release time. How is the current FPS performance compared to the older Cloud9's Amsterdam?Thanks,Dirk.

Have my fps locked at 25 and for the most part it stays there no matter what ac I fly. My problems start when I want to load weather. FPS sometimes drop into single didgits. Any tweaking other than just the normal fs weather settings I can try. Thanks

I have both the LDS 767 and QW 757 and was wondering if anyone has made a merge to use the LDS panel with the QW model? Andy S

Has any one heard of any redone Los Angeles Airport. Fly Tampa didn't make one (I have there San Diego, San Francisco), don't thing Aerosoft did. Only one of the busiest airports in the world. Any good redos anywhere - Payware or freeware. Thanks
