Hi all,After installing Radar Contact this week I get strange things happening on startup of fs9. First, no splash screen and no startup, yet fs9.exe appears in Task Manager along withrundll32.exe at 50% cpu usage. Then when starting a second time, fs9 starts up fine, and I end up with two fs9.exe in Task Manager along with the rundll32.exe task at 50%. I'm running fs9.1 on Win 7 64-bit.Anyone else experienced similar issues?thanks in advance

I can't tell you how many hours I put into trying to fly this thing, read the PDF files, look at various Youtube videos and what-not just to learn how to fly this aircraft and I still can't. Sad ain't it? I've done Google searches, nothing good.. All I get are to sites or videos that are in some other language than English, and it is real bothersome when I can't understand 'em either. Another thing from some videos is that they use the virtual cockpit a lot, which I'm fine with, but its hard to see exactly what's going on and they don't zoom in or something.This is what I'm asking. Is there a fix to the issues of really bad FPS in W7 64bit with the Wilco E-Jets and ERJv2 addons. I have seen quite a few people having this issue but don't know if there is a fix. After a few minutes I get at best 10 FPS in the E-Jets when in all other addons inc. PMDG etc I get at least 30+.Any help appreciated as I really like the E-Jets addon but I can't use it with this problem.Andy S

After a long time I restarted using FDC. Must have forgotten something though because when going through the checklist the co-pilot calls out a switch. But before I can turn it on it automaticly turns on and the captain says "On" How do I stop this to where I Turn the switch on and if I don't I get a NEG Response. Thanks for any help.

Does anyone know of a legit freeware Vienna scenery for FS9?There are 3 paywares on offer. I flew into the freeware Ben Gurion today LLGB and absolutely ador it with my LVL D 767. F2004 is still current for me!

Just got back into msfs after many years and have been getting my files togeather. I have my jets(PMDG, hat would be your suggestion either freeware or payware.Wilco Citation,ect) what I'm missing is a good Twin engine prop. What would be your suggestion. Freeware or payware, dosn't matter. Also, best addon west coast scenery. Mostly fly in S California, Nevada, Arizona. Thanks for any help.

Is there a parameter in the aircraft.cfg that defines "where" an ai aircraft is? I ask because I've applied several FDE replacements to my ai traffic, and I'm having a problem with aircraft bunching up and overlapping when stopped on the taxiways- as if the aircraft "think" that the plane in front of them is smaller than it really is and proceed to move too far forward before stopping.thanks

Hi Gang.I have just installed za_carrier, which is great with the new Alphasim E6 etc, but I was wondering if there are any aircraft carrier packages that you can place the carrier somewhere else.I am trying to place a carrier or two closer to the UK, I know this would not be realistic, but what is ?any help on this would be very much appreciated.Thanks.

I don't know if these are still viable airlines but there are repaints available for them. Hello all,I am inquiring regarding the feasability of the Airsimmer A320 online. My Wilco is gettig a little long in the tooth and I would like to venture into online flying with something a little simpler (but still an airliner).If I am correct, the A320 lacks with regards to VNAV (correct me if I am wrong). Every once in awhile, I get an odd display of my scenery while airborne. A sector of the scenery doesn't fully display - either to one side or in the center. After some period of time, the missing sector will pop in completely. I'm attaching a file showing what I'm referring to (can be seen in the center of the shot - clicking on the image will show it more clearly). Hello dear flightsimmers,all of a sudden, my FS9 won't boot any longer. :( It even does not get to show the splash screen. The moment I click the FS9.exe I see in the Windows Task-Manager application tab, for only a brief second or so a "SysFader".I have just previously installed a texture for the Level-D 767 and the DC-9-30 from HJG (including its panel) before the last time I had run FS9 successfully. Of course, I removed all files related to aforementioned add-ons, system rebooted, however, the result is the same. I am not aware of any other updates on my system. I've been trying to edit aircraft.cfg files so that on arrival my B747 full of passengers (or 757, A320 - whatever!) is not directed by ATC to a Cargo ramp or similar, but it's not working. Hello first of all!When I start running flight simulator I got a massange that flight simulator is unabel to find direct X on my computer! I have to update the newest version on http://www.microsoft.com/directx now!Well I did so and got the massage: "The newest version of directx 9 is already installed"What is the problem?Any suggestions?

I have a copy of FS2004, which was working normally until yesterday. On running the program yesterday evening an error message appeared stating that the installed version of DirectX was incompatible with FS2004, and to install the correct version either by downloading it or running the FS setup again.I downloaded and installed the latest version of DirectX, but running FS again produced the same error message. I then tried uninstalling FS completely, and setting it up again, but this had no effect either.Any solutions/suggestions ??

I'm looking for SWA 737-7H4 'Illinois One', N918WN and 737-7H4 'Florida One', N945WN. For Eric Cantu's 737-700 or POSKY's 737-700 series. Also, SWA 737-3H4 'Lone Star One', N352SW for Eric's 737-300 series. Recently I added the freeware KPHL and KJFK scenery packages. Both of them are great. I have also had the 9 Dragons package for a while. I am now interested in locating any other freeware scenery packages that are as good those listed. Any recommendations?Tom

I know this topic has been done to death here but I've read so many posts and not really had a huge improvement. I wonder if anyone has any further advice?I have a fairly high-end machine (dedicated to FS9 & FSX - specs as per my forum signature) and on the whole both FS9 and FSX run brilliantly. But when changing to spot view I often get areas of blurred scenery which take for ever to come into focus.
