Hello people,I have been wanting to have a "complete" New York scenery, so that when I arrive at NYC, I can see once again what I saw half a year ago when I landed at JFK for real. So, in order to come to this complete NYC experience, I purchases FSDT's KJFK and UT:USA, for the greta night lighting. The only thing did I miss is the beautiful island of Manhattan in all of its glory.I know, FS2004 does have Manhattan scenery, but of course it could be so much better. One problem I have with the default scenery is that when viewed froma s far as JFK, you only see the Empire State building and one or two other skyscrapers. HiCan you help me please. I have German airports 3 installed and I fly Learnardo's Maddog in FS9. When coming into land at Bremen just before I touchdown the aircraft starts to twist and turn, I was about 200 ft just before tochdown and I finish up somewere on the grass or just about on the runway, but were ever I finish up and and I bring the aircraft under contol, even while taxing the aircraft keeps twisting to one side, really weird behavier . All of the other Aerosoft airport sceneries are ok its just this paticular Airport . Hello, fellow Captains!I've just recently been able to buy Feelthere's Caravan DLX on JustFlight's website (they had some left on stock). I know, it's very old in terms of Flightsim timeline, nevertheless my first impression - it's good, surely better than default one. But it definitely needs some fine tuning, especially (I know that FDE was written by "FDE God", the late Ron Freimuth, nevertheless I don't feel that comfortable inside this plane with my Saitek X52 Pro!):- pitch is too high when working with flaps- goes mad on banks- elevator trim is way too sensitiveToo bad I don't know how to apply these changes myself. Can someone please help? I've been working on this for a few days with no luck. All the forums and the PDF that came with the patch are old and maybe dont apply anymore. How do you create the FSGLC folder with the fsglc_us.bgl in it, and where do I put it so the scenery library can find it??? Also the same for the UTCITY. If MS wont let me use " \ " then how do I name a folder SCENERY\FSGLC\SCENERY and so on? aaaaaaand the LC files in my UTUSA folder all end with XXX instead of BGL and there is upwards of 150 of them. Hi, anyone,I just installed 747-400 in my FSX2004. I couldn't get the Captain's instruments (PFD, ND) to turn on 9 out of 10 times, only the First Officer's side tunred on. So I had to fly with the F/O's side. Also, the altitude wasn't not compatible with my FSX aircraft, I had to push the joystick all the way forward and down to keep it level, ot it would raise the nose too soon during taxing. Could anyone help? thank you very much!!

Is it somehow possible to pan the view with the mouse, similar to space+mouse in FSX? Default or perhaps with an addon

Ive become quite fascinated with the islands just off California, I'm most interested in the residential area of Catalina . Does anyone know of, or have a good scenery for the residential are there? Hi EveryoneAfter dithering for ages, I finally took the plunge and ordered a new PC that will hopefully give me the blazing performance with FS9 that has been my dream since it first came out!I got the Windows 7 Professional 64 bit version which has a Windows XP mode. I wonder what opinions there might be out there as to what my best approach would be - install into Windows 7 and try to get everything working or just use the XP Mode from the beginning and install into that?I know that different people are going to have had different experiences, but I would just be interested to see if there's some kind of general consensus?Thanks :(

About a year ago I bought a Microsoft wireless mouse/keyboard setup. I mostly wanted the wireless keyboard for simming purposes, I can put it on my lap or just put it away when not needed.What I didn't realize was how much of a negative impact the wireless mouse has on FS9 performance. I noticed that when the mouse cursor vanished after a few seconds of no movement, I'd suddenly get an extra 5-10 fps. I just didn't realize that this was not the case before the new mouse arrived.The battery ran dead last night so I plugged in an old USB mouse with a cable. No more fps loss. Hi all,For those of you who like low level VFR flying, France VFR have now released their planned Alsace scenery. Having purchased every France VFR scenery addon available and always eagerly awaiting the next offering from them, I have to say that their scenery products seem to get better and better all the time and, unlike some developers, they have not forgotten FS9. In my opinion France VFR products must be the best regional scenery addons available, with what seems like a combination of almost photoreal scenery and very generous autogen. Had to reinstall vista ultimate 64-bit and am retweaking my FS9. FS9 loads fine (I have administrator rights and UAC is turned off) but when I click alt while in FS9 to bring up the menu tab--the screen goes black---even though FS9 is still running--I can't alt-tab it back so I have to go to task manager (ctrl-alt-del) to exit. When you hit "W" to get a better view, you get the important instruments. On the Learjet, you get a blocked windshield because the instrument is so high. Is there a way to use the instruments of the Cessna 172 for example, like in FS2002? All the other planes don't seem to have this problem.

G'Day everyone,I have some problems when landing without AP with the PSS 757. At about 6 or 700 radio altitude, just aligned and fully established on the ILS I disconnect AP and I must to push forward the Saitek X52 PRO controller to bring down the aircraft, if I leave the stick in the null zone, the aircraft increase its pitch and don't follow the glideslope. Sometimes I have to push forward very strong cause I cannot descend. When I begin the ILS autoland there are 2 white PAPI lights on, when I swtich to manual, for the problem described all PAPI lights are white.Is it quite strange for you or not? What is the best FS2004 add on in your opinion?

Hi. I know I have seen at least one post (perhaps not in AVSIM, I don't recall) which answers this question, but after quite some time Googling and searching the forums here I haven't located it. Apologies if I am duplicating threads....I have always set the nVidia Control Panel advanced settings (AA, AF etc. etc.) by instinct, following the desriptions of what each feature does and nVidia's recommendations. Now I have just had my new FS PC delivered, maybe someone could kindly say/repeat what might be regarded as the best settings in the nVidia CP/Advanced settings, (GPU = GTX 470: full PC specs as per my signature below). I only use this PC for FS9 and FSX (but 99% FS9…

I am going to have to call off this experiment for the lack of one tool...a duplicate texture file finder which understands FS9. Flightsim Manager used to handle this function flawlessly...when everything FS was on one drive. Seperating my addon scenery to another HDD has thrown FSM for a loop and it can no longer find texture dupes...dupes which are there, in several folders. Duplicate textures, on my system, are an almost guaranteed system lockup, at some point. I've tried 12 different duplicate file finding softwares...but they do not understand how FS9 works. They find every "lm" version of a texture as a dupe to the daylight version...sigh! I do not understand why FS…

I've decided to buy FSGenesis, GE Pro and Ultimate Terrain.(1) does it matter in which order I install these? I'll probably install in the order above.(2) how does FS2004 'know' to use these versus the default functions? Do they have installers which override FS' priorities?(3) do they have any facilities which clash with each other? (4) anything else I need to know before installation and use? ;-)TIA

I have a brand new laptop 5 core with Windows 7, right now I'm trying to load disk 4 of FS2004 and get to 77% then it hangs up on the Amster.cab file and never gets any further. This is my third attempt at trying to install the program, anyone have any suggestions? Tom

Ran O/O defrag as I do about once/month. After this last defrag, I lost the ability to boot my computer in any mode. Long story short I reinstalled the OS (Vista Ultimate 64 bit) and have rebuilt all my settings from scratch. I've got FS9 up and running fine with all the environmentals installed (UT/GE PRO/REX/FSgenesis, AS6.5 etc) and I've got just a minor issue with Squawkbox 4. When I click on the module tab withing FS9 at the top, I get FSUIPC and SB 4. When I click on SB 4 the screen goes black for a few seconds then I get an SB splash screen. Does anyone have the freeware Marsh Harbour (MYAM) scenery that Flightsim Brasil put up on AVSIM awhile ago? Its no longer available here (due to the crash?) and I cannot locate it anywhere else.I believe its filename was 'FSB-MYAM-FS2004AVSIM.zip' or something like that. FS9-'Views'-View Options-3D Preview the Cockpit zoom seems to be 001.00 as default. I think 000.50 is more realistic especially with runway length, try as I might I cannot get this setting as default. Any suggestions would be welcome. Echofox
