Anyone know where I can find the best FS9 rendition of Area 51? I saw a package awhile back with the base and a couple of UFO's by the hangers. I ask this because the iFly 737-600 will soon have a 'Janet' livery available.Thanks in advance to anyone who knows of anything.

I have dowmloaded a number of files connected with the subject: -mtrl9_1.zip; mtrl9_2.zip; mtrl9_ai; ai_ships.zip; ai_float.zip; ai_shipz.zipAfter installation, I found many of the ships, docks and float aircraft are on dry land. There files don't seem to be compatible with Ultimate Terrain. Can someone confirm this?Jim Brewer

Having installed my FS9 setup onto a new PC, I now find that none of my saved flights (*.flt files) will work when I click on them: FS9 starts but I get a message saying the file can't be found (I just clicked on it - if I can find it, why can't FS??) or corrupt.And yet the files can't be that corrupt: if I open the same files from within FS9 ("Select a flight"), the flight opens just fine. Also if I save the flight when it opens OK and then try clicking on the saved flt file - I get the corrupt message again. Anyone any ideas why I can open these 'corrupt' files just fine in FS9, but not when I click on them to open FS and start the same flight? They worked just fine on …

Hi,WBGG and WBKKI have been looking around and apart from a Malaysian simmer site (which requires you sign up) there seems to be no scenery for Kuching and Kota Kinabalu. Also a point of interest is that airliners overfly WBKK a lot. It is close to Brunei and closer to Mt Kinabalu which is the tallest mountain in SE Asia. I recently decided to fly in the Alps, using X-Plane 9 (sorry, I don't mean to be a heretic). I downloaded real weather, and it was snowing quite a bit. I took off anyway, but after a while, my poor Piper Cherokee started to slow down and get really heavy... airframe icing! I went down in altitude, where the warmer air restored my normal flying capabilities.The experience was great fun. Hi all,I have been waiting for a decent A380 for sometime now having consigned both of the original payware offerings to my hangar - Abacus because of a poor quality and fairly unrealistic flightdeck and AFS because it was essentially unflyable with ridiculous flight dynamics. Now however I see from SimMarket that AFS has released an upgraded version and I note, from a Google search, that Abacus also appear to have an upgrade (or is that just an FSX version bundled with the old fs9 version?). Guys, please dont kill me. I just wonder sometimes about these so-called Avsim reviews and just what is the individual interest (monetarily) these reviewers have to the interest marketing a product. For example, recently we have seen reviews for both REX Weather and Evolution. According to the reviewers, both get great marks.Problem is, neither works worth a hoot. Evolution, which I really thought would be awesome, based upon AS6, is a complete nightmare. Dont even get me started. After much internal debate - as someone new to MSFS - I have decided to stick with FS2004 rather than 'upgrade' to FSX. My reasoning is that I already have a pretty powerful PC and FS2004 runs well. Hi,I've been having this problem with FS9 for the past month now, ever since I installed FS9 on my new computer. I have attached picture which show the problem. As you can see, during the night in fullscreen mode, the colours are disfigured. You can clearly see the "purple haze" (lol) and the "blocks" in the clouds, runways, practically all textures. During the day ( i have not posted this picture), you can see individual bands of blue in the sky, as the gradient blue changes its shade. This only occurs in fullscreen mode. Also, my AA only works in fullscreen, is there anyway to make it work in both windowed and fullscreen. Specs and Info below. All help is appreciated. …

Hi all,I have a delicate problem and I hope someone out there knows how to fix it. I recently installed a new VGA card, a nVidia GTX 460. It replaced the old nVidia 8800GT I had installed before. Now FS looks quite ugly.Modifying the settings had no success. And using the setting in the nVidia control panel to override FS did not solve the problem either. Hi,I usually perform (for more fun) a semi-auto landing, in other words I keep the autopilot ON until reaching about 6-700 radio altitude (depending on wind direction and speed, clouds conditions, visibility...), then disconnect it and go down in manual. Well, with the PSS 757 is quite impossible because you cannot see the runway. With a 3-5° pitch up you see the sky only, not the ground, it is very bad and dangerous.One trick is to press SHIFT+ENTER to downgrade the view angle. Hi all, I have several Finnish Sceneries installed.The packages come with 'afcad' generated .txt files.How can I make an AFCAD AF2 bgl file from this txt. I cannont find 'Import' on Lee Swordy's AFCAD program.There is no 'install afcad execute program with the scenery.I have ADE9X but not sure what to do.Any help please? Hello Sorry for making so many topics ansd asking so many questions. I was flying with active sky Advance. It downloaded bed weather. at 6000feet I was in fog and I wasn't albe to see gorund. At 30000 I still was in fog and at 36000Feet fog dissapered. When I looked back there was no any cloud. Is that bug? And how to fix it? Also that day I took off in Gatwick (EGKK) and visibility was 3.5 SM at 2500 after takeoff about 50 seconds there was no fog at all and I was able to see airport. is it possible?

Help! I know all the older versions of addon manager were free, but now when I try to install one, I get a message saying it's an old version and won't let me install it. I downloaded the newer version 3.14 and it works fine but limited as it is now shareware. Does anyone have a serial or key for the 314 version or tell me how to install the older versions. Hi Everyone,I finally found a decent Denpasar Airport from http://www.bdoaviation.com/beta/scenery.htmlEverything works well, however when I follow the instructions on placing the "AP978350.BGL" file which was contained was contained in the above scenery, to place that file in the FS9 Scenery Main Folder in Asia Folder, it prevents any AI Traffic from Landing or even being at Denpasar Airport, you can basically see the aircrafts in the air and on TCAS just hovering around, but not actually landing or even being on the Apron.I think what happens is that the AP978350.BGL changes the AFCAD name from WRRR(Former ICAO Code) to the new one WADD, because when I didn't first plac…

Did they correct the wingviews for the new E-Jets?I have the E170/190, and the wingviews for the 190 are really just 170 wings with 190 textures, so they never really look right. I saw on the JustFlight site that they offer a patch for the 737 PIC that includes co-pilot callouts. I tried to install it but it wouldn't work with my Wilco version. I am using the latest version offered by Wilco. (ie. latest patch)... The only callout I get is "positive rate" after take-off - for the rest of the flight the first officer is asleep. Does anyone know a way I can get this lazy person to wake up and talk a little more?

Hi Guys,If anyone still flys the Aryus Citation Sovereign that has been off the library for about a year I think, I just had a question. What panels are you using? I am getting this problem with the A/P if I go into a steep turn with the A/P engaged, the plane starts buffeting and eventually goes inverted and starts rapidly losing altitude. I am using the Feelthere/Wilco Citation X panel with it. I'm just gonna take a guess that 3rd party add-ons don't work so well with freeware? Anyways hope you can resolve my problem.Thanks,Chris
