I have installed both UT USA and UT Europe in my FS2004(FS9) directory . When I run the FS and go to settings/scenery, the UT-Europe files are there and checked for use. However, there are no files that indicate they are UT-USA. Did I do something wrong in the install?Thanks,Maestrogn

I am having a problem loading Edit Voice Pack. Is there a fix that is freeware or minimal shareware cost that will help with this problem. I had to reload FS9 and can't seem to get Edit Voice Pack to reload, it gives me an error message saying that FS9 is not found to reload it or check registry.Help Please.

I've been at this for a while now. Trying different panel variations or setups but I still find myself at a loss. I have tried everything I can think of - which isn't much - to get this to work correctly. Is there an easy merge for these two? I looked in the file library under "merge" and saw a merge for PSS with just about every other airbus - not the project airbus though. Suggestions?Please don't reply with "you should have searched the forums here or pairbus." I've been doing it for the last three hours. A point in the right direction though would be appreciated.

You might remember that threads I had made about New York: I wanted an ultimate NYC experience, and eventually I made myself one. I wanted it for two reasons: 1) good memories from a NYC holiday in May; 2) I have FlyTampa's Boston. So basically, besides wanting to fly to NYC from Europe, I wanted to be able to fly between Boston and NYC. However, when I had NYC, I actually wanted more airports in America. If you're a virtual pilot (like me) and want to install your FS software on a new IMac, this post might help you not making the mistakes I did. After buying a new IMac (3,06 GHz, 4 Mb), I installed Vista and fs9 with some add-ons (PMDG-737, FS2Crew and NL2000 scenery) as I had done on my previous mac and 'flew' away. Then I read in a tweak post that fs9 should not be installed in the c:\ disk where Windows and the 'My Documents' folder are located as it would slow down the FS. This posed a problem for me, since I had to create a third partition next to the one bootcamp had created for Vista. I tried to shrink my 300 GB Vista partition using the Vista Disk Manager, but it…

Hi,I have just converted some Posky 777 textures from 32-bit to DXT3 format because are more crisp and smooth, so I can avoid texture flickering, expecially where thin lines are designed, and jagged textures with some spot view.Well, after conversion I had a some bad result as shown in the screenshots below:I cannot understand if it is a conversion problem or anything. Sorry if this is a dumb question but ...I bought REX and am experimenting with Theme Creation. I took one of the pre-installed themes (Pristine Tropics) and installed it in FS9 (lots of files copied over.)How does FS9 'know' when to use this theme? The only 'Choose Theme' option in FS9 I could find related to weather. How does FS9 distinguish between different themes I might install?TIA

My CLS 767 (very expensive) came with a fraction of the liveries on the list posted by CLS.Half of these texture are very VERY blurry.I went to the livery maganer to try to install more of the textures, but it only loaded on a few more, of which ALL were very blurry.I got no textures when i bought their A330/A340 package.Anyone know what to do?Overall: CLS 767 looks great.But thats all there is to it.The 767's trim needs to be set before takeoff, or it just dives.Taking off is not possible, and i find that after about 15 minutes, the trim setting has undone itself, and my 767 is harrowing uncontolably towards the ground at 750+ MPH.It doesnt really matter though, because…

Approximately 50% of the time when the mics are keyed within squawkbox 4 (FS9) I hear a noticable "chainsaw starting" burst before voice comes on--the voice is perfect but it's that annoying micro-burst of noise when mics are keyed at the very beginning that causes you to jump. The other half of the time, everything works fine. I was wondering, what would cause that noise to happen in half the cases? I try to duplicate exactly the steps I take when there is no noise and it seems completely random. I've tried reinstalling SB-X Fi extreme sound drivers etc, and squawkbox, but nothing seems to help. I'm going back to flying FS2004 after a long hiatus and read the glowing reviews of FSgenesis. It is something that I think would greatly improve the experience.However, for a newbie, it is totally confusing as to what I need to buy at the storefront.I fly the US (mostly the northeast) and Central Europe (including Austria). Hi, I have lot of problems about textures rendering, which are jagged, especially when I zoom out or increase the view angle from the bottom to the top. It is very boring and get me frustrated.I have a Mobility Radeon HD4650, which does not render well FS2004 graphics, as always ATI cards. Do you have any fix to perform?I have tried with any kind of configuration either in FS2004 and in the control panel (Catalyst Center, AA, AAA mode, AF...), but nothing is the result. I am very close to get out the window my laptop, ATI is very bad in graphics rendering... A very waste of money!!! No more ATI cards in my home!!!

I have been flying Flight Sims for 12 years and my favorite aircraft is the Level-D 767. I's about the only large airliner that I fly. I have had a MAJOR computer update and it now is using Windows 7 and like a lot of you trying to use Windows 7 and the FS 2004 LVLD-767 it does not work too good. Just about click on any window and the screen goes completely black. But you also know that. I can usually get my "picture" back by clicking around on the top of the screen and pulling the "window" down a little..... but its really frustrating as you know. Hi all.I have recently purchased this bird and so far I have done a whole lot of reading. Well the question now is how do I get it to fly??? Outside of FS9 my mouse pointer stays the default white arrow. In FS9 however, it changes to a black arrow, and a white hand if I hover over a cockpit button or similar. At night, black pointer against black background (eg PMDG) makes for a frustrating experience! In Windows (my spec as per signature) I have set the pointer to show when I press the Ctrl key, but it doesn't work in FS.. I use 2 monitors - when I use the mouse on the 2nd. monitor (usually showing FSNavigator) all is fine, but on my main monitor (with FS on it) it changes.Any ideas what is modifying the mouse like this? I haven't tested all my a/c but it certainly happens on those I've flown in the past week…

Hello all.My FS9 PC stands alone with no connection to the outside world so I've never felt the need of more than basic malware protection. Addons are downloaded and scanned at work or the local library (both anal about security) before installation. Recently, my daughter has been using the PC for a load of her own stuff (work & play) and blithely plugs music players, cameras and portable HDs into mine.So, despite having no problems yet, I'm thinking it might be wise to buy something that will give my machine a thorough cleaning. In Windows XP I used to be able to double-click on a shortcut to a saved flight (.flt file) and that would launch FS9 and open the flight at the airport.Now I have Windows 7 (the change may be coincidental to and not causing the problem) if I click on the same shortcuts I get an error message saying the file cannot be found or is corrupt. Clicking on OK closes FS9 at splash screen stage.Now the shortcuts definitely link to a valid .flt file in the My Documents/Flight Simulator Files folder (though my 'My Documents' folder is not in the default place - but then nor was it when I ran XP, so that's probably neither here nor there) - I can 'find the target' OK when I right-cl…

Is there a way i can control the pushback manually when turning. SHIFT+P+1/2 method is rubbish, for turning. Its so unpredictable, sometimes it dosent even turn. A better method would be using the SHIFT+P for pushback, then using your rudder/nosewheel to control the turns manually. Would be much more easier and more accurate on getting on to the taxi way center line from the stand. So is there a way i can do it? xml. CFG?

Does anyone know how to open an AFCAD file for an airport that isn't in the regular AF2 bgl format, but instead is listed as AFX_KJFK bgl. This is the AFCAD that came with the FRF-KJFKv7 scenery. When I try and open it with the AFCAD program to check the parking assignments, it causes the program to crash with an error message. If this isn't the right program to open this type of file, can someone point me in the right direction for opening this file. Thanks in advance for any help Bill

Hi Guys, I've recently installed Nick's light Fix in the hope of improving my AI aircraft taxi lighting and thus eliminating the horrible FS9 triangle. It seems that the light fix has improved my taxi lights but it seems to appear still with the horrible triangle. As you can see from the image! It looks to me that the light fix is there but the triangle still appears! Any suggestions?Cheers.
