HiI recently "visited" RAF Coningsby - John Young's amazing scenery originally released by UKMIL. There was an odd problem with the trees placed throughout the scenery. They were surrounded by a black rectangle. The tree texture itself is visible within the rectangle and as you get closer the rectangle literally fades away and leaves the tree displaying normally. Then when you move away the rectangle fades back in again.Now I just noticed the same problem with FlyTampa's KSFO. (see screen shot). As it's happening with two totally different sceneries, one payware and the other freeware, I assume they are both using a common tree set but I can't figure out which one it is. …

Hi all.I'm unsure which forum to post this in. I'm considering buying FS build to more accurately plan IFR flights and use Radar Contact to handle ATC. Hopefully, once I've got used to how these two programs work, I will find the time to learn the ifly 737. With regard to the navdata that these two programs (and the ifly 737 if i buy), do I have to pay/subscribe to get the latest navdata (from the AIRAC site?) so the programs will reflect what the real life charts and procedures show. If so do I have to purchase the navdata seperately for each program or will one set of data work for both?Thanks,Kev

The takeoff and landing distance for AI aircraft in FS2004 is much shorter than in real life. Is there a way to extend the amount of runway used or is the distance hard coded in the software? Any help is much appreciated.Jim H

Just about some hours ago, I was on my way from KIAD to Zurich LSZH. While decending, heading 100 I get a landing message from FS9 ATC tower like usual,but this time it told me to turn right to 295 (thats maybe 180 degrees turn) and visual runway 27 (what the...??). At the same time,some other AI aircrafts landing at Zurich have correct heading and message,ILS runway 16 and 14. Some days ago,same thing happened to me when I'm decending to San Francisco SFO. Hi Guys,Just recently I noticed for the first time that around my addon London City airport the Tower bridge and many autogen buildings were misplaced in the Thames and other areas. To cut a long story short, I pressed the "Y" button for the slew function and then the space bar which would normally set your aircraft facing due North, which in this case it still does. But, after pressing Shift + Z the heading indication at the top of my screen shows variable headings but never anything near 360 degrees. On several aircraft in my FS9 (some of the stock planes included with FS9 as well as some downloaded originals), I’ve replaced the Heading Indicator or DG with an HSI (usually the Cessna 208 or the Baron gauge), then removed the existing VOR1. As expected, of course, the Nav 1 radio now drives the HSI. But today I tried this in a newly installed aircraft and the HSI doesn’t respond to the Nav 1 radio (or Nav 2, for that matter). The radio is receiving the audio ident. Is there some kind of radio-to-HSI linkage I haven’t discovered? Probably unrelated, but another quirk in this aircraft is that in the Radio Stack (the standard Bendix/King combo), when you put the mouse …

When I use the keys on my keyboard to ATC command they are not working. When I open ATC, the first figure is 1 to open frq. this key is working, but the next one 2 for req. of clearence is not working and so on. None of the command to ATC are working, taxi, take off etc. etc. I have reinstalled FS9 without any chance still the same, I have deleted Fs9.cfg no look. Can anybody help?

The Level D 767 has some of the most realistic sounds I have heard in FS. When I use the PSS 757 or PMDG 737 I don't feel that the sounds are that great. Any recommendations anybody?CheersDaniel

Hey all, I have installed VOZ 1.8 clean install and apon arrival to YPAD the building textures are non existant. can anybody point me in the direction on how to fix this.

Would like to know what the sounds are like in the PMDG 747-400.I have the Level D 767 and love the sounds. Are the sounds in the PMDG 747 better than their 737 (not too good)?Daniel

Hello,I have FS2004 and I'm currently not impressed with the weather effects on the ground. When it rains the ground gets wet but I cannot see this on my FS2004 but on some youtube videos when it rains theres like puddles and water on the ground and grass. Same with the snow when it snows the snow doesn't settle but just looks like falling white dots. I have made my weather settings high and dense but still no good. Does anyone know how get weather like real weather?Thank You

Emil Serafino's Rolls Royce RB211-535E4 Sounds Version 4 (Boeing 757) (on flightsim.com )Its not perfect, but it sure is a major improvement on the standard PSS 757 which I own.I got into payware initially for a better quality product, but honestly really wanted a REAL FMC, Virtual Cockpit and quality all over to feel real. MSFS doesn't really have this unless you are a total newbie or whatever.This is top notch Emil, it is probably the first time I have claimed that I will use this soundset as it sounds real (a little like the outstanding Level D!).This is a benchmark for freeware sounds in FS9. Unless someone proves otherwise.

Hi there, I'm not sure if I am in the right place..but I was wondering if anyone knew how to change the aircraft.cfg file to set a maximum pitch on take off......whenever I take off, the aircraft (I'm in a 737) shoots up to about 20-30 degrees with flaps 10 set...and I have to pitch down really hard, which takes me down to about level, and then I have to pitch up again to about 10-12 to make it more realistic...I know it seems a bit silly, and being a bit fussy, but I'm just trying to make it more realistic...I just want the aircraft to pitch up nice and slowly when I use my keypad 2 button.....an answer would be for it not to go more that say, 12 degrees pitch up..which …

I can not get ATIS to function. I can see and hear the default FS9 ATC without any problems, but ATIS remains silent and will not display its famous green line of airport data. I recently install and uninstall RC4. I thought that I may have created my problem there.
