HiJust firstly wondered if the new VTBS 2010 that is available via Simmarket is good on the Frame Rates, I downloaded the Freeware one 2 yrs ago and it really was a lot of stuttering, just wanted to know people opinions on the new that is now avaialble as payware?Also does anybody know a good Jakarta Airport Scenery, I kow there is one, but its quite dated.Thanks in Advance.

Hello;I am using the PMDG 600/700/800/900 series 737 aircraft. I use 2D panels in FS9When looking through the main front window the viewpoint seems to be too low. This is especially evident on landing when I often have to alter the eye view placement to see the end of the runway.I want to alter the file so that the viewpoint of the main front window is a little higher. I can always adjust this in flight by the eye placement feature in FS9, but it would be good to have the placement set by default.Can someone tell me which lines I need to edit in the CFG file to achieve this?There was a post regarding this some years ago, but a search has failed to locate it and I…

Here I am at five minutes before midnight, New Year's Eve (when I should be out having fun!) troubleshooting FS9 problems!! I hope someone can help.All began when I tried to run ExcBuilder - it said it had problems with FSConnect.dll. OK, a new installation and I'd forgotten to copy it from backup to the modules folder. Now when I start FS9 I get a message saying that it can't load FSSound.dll (will be deactivated), even though it was fine an hour ago - I still have the correct "Old Modules" lines in my fs9.cfg file. I've recently installed the lite version of KVNY and have noticed a pretty hefty drop in frame rates when simply looking in it's direction. I have also noticed the same behavior at KCMA as well. Simply looking in the direction of the airport is enough to have a significant drop in frame rates.Well, I was taking a night flight from KSBA to KSNA the other day and my flight path took me directly over KVNY. I am trying to install the MD11 FS9 Combo pack without much success. I have tried to install it two ways. First just clicking on the exe within the Total Commander but had a disability message. See attached screen shot. Then I tried to open the file in a Temporary file, then clicked on the exe again. Unfortunately, the results were again the same. It keeps referening back to the FS9's location.Could someone throw some light on this for me please?Best regards.

ok, ive been searching for a good global express for 6 years now waiting for one to come out..finally theres an Awsome AI model for the global, BUT, its AI....Theres got to be a way to modify it to add opening doors and moving control surfaces....right? Cant i load the model into GMAX somehow and add stuff on to the model? Or maybe make a new model from scratch copying all the demensions and such to have a full working aircraft model??? Hello all.I just read the thread 'Duplicate texture finder' and it reminded me that I can't get ScanAFD to work with my setup. I have a lot of addon scenery in foders outside of my main FS9 folder (though all on the same logical drive) and while ScanAFD will search default locations' Afcads quite happily, it stalls and effectively hangs when I ask for a full airport scan.Do you have any suggestions for a repair, work-around or, preferably, an alternative?Thanks.Dave

I've been having an issue lately with the sound in the Aeroworx King Air cutting out. The aircraft will start out fine, but after adjusting power, or switching views, the sound will go out completely with no way to get it back. This is happening with the default sound with nothing changed. I've tried different sound drivers with no luck. Any ideas on what could cause this to happen?Robert

I used to use FSManager for this function, but, ever since I put my addon scenery on it's own HDD, FSM has gone mindless and couldn't find a duplicate texture if you shoved one up...well, you get the idea.I've tried many freeware "duplicate file finders", and they are mostly bunk. I need something that will allow me to search for duplicates of the various texture file types (BMP, PAT, R8, etc.) only, in the folders I select only. It would also have to be able to sort the results by folder (so that I could remove the duplicate in an addon scenery's texture folder while leaving the one which is located in my Static Objects Library folder, for example). I am currently using the free/unregistered version of FSUIPC and am wondering whether or not I should buy the registered version.There seem to be a lot of settings in the registered version to control winds, visibility and clouds. How do these settings co-exist if one already has add-ons like Active Sky Evolution and REX installed? Do they conflict or overlap/duplicate functions?There are extensive options for keys, buttons, joystick assignments in FSUIPC. Again, what are the advantages of using FSUIPC over the facilities already available in FS9 to assign facilities to keys and joysticks etc? About 11 months ago I purchased a new computer. At the time of my purchase I had the builder copy my previous data files into a file folder named old data files on my new C: drive. I did a complete reinstall of FS9 to my new computer. Over the past couple of months I finally reinstalled RC4 and made a number of successful short flights. Yesterday I needed to leave and come back to a flight that involved RC4. Later I could not get the saved RC4 flight to reload or to merge with FS9.After doing some searching I found both my FS9 and RC4 flights are being written to two different file locations. I see the saved files of both programs are being written to the documents …

It's not often that I have to post up for help with a technical issue, but this one has me really stumped!At some point yesterday I noticed that upon running the fs9.exe, the program never actually ran. Checking the processes list, it showed fs9.exe as running but using only a few megabytes of memory (far lower than it should be if actually running in memory). I eventually figured out that the only way to get fs9 to run is to run the exe a second time, whilst the first instance of the process is already running! The first process can then be killed once the program is running. Strange.I've tried to run with a new fs9.cfg as well as using a backup scenery.cfg and also the …

He's such a prolific designer that it takes a lot of time to track down and install all of his static objects. So it would be nice to have a compilation of all of them to date in one large download. One was the original white 'hockey stick' livery and the other was the final good looking polished/brushed metal effect. I cant remember the registrations but I think one might have been N329EA - but that's just a wild guess. :( There is one Eastern livery in the library at the moment but there is no comparison. After buying and spending many hours with the PMDG 747 in FSX (using my flight sim rig), I find I spend more time flying on my secondary computer (a laptop) running FS9. Given that the 747 is a separate product for each flight sim version I'm on the hunt for a good price on the FS9 version of the PMDG 747. The cheapest I've found so far is from PMDG directly, at $55. To be honest this isn't a great deal considering I can get the FSX version for $30 at my local drug store computer department. Has anyone seen a good deal on this product as of late?
