I have had both these programmes installed for years, but using them together or separately and with a whole range of 'recommended' settings (tempered by the comments in the programmes' Readme files) I can't seem to make them work. On approach to LEMG just now, an AI a/c flew right in front of me and landed about 30" ahead of my a/c. Surely one of these programmes is supposed to turn that a/c away. The a/c showed in the 'Explorer' window of AISeparation, but not in 'Conflicts'. All too often I have to pause the sim, increase the sim rate to 8x and then go back to normal flight. Why is it that the turboprops are so slow to respond? When I push the throttles forward to take off, the turboprops take around 5 or 6 seconds to respond. I can see why jets would do that, but I've seen vids of King Air takeoff rolls and when the throttle is pushed forward the engine immediately spools up. Is there anything I can modify in the cfg files to make the turboprops a little more responsive?

hi there i am trying to find out what the best programs are for the best scenery results.i currently have fsglobal 2010 and ultimate terrain but was wondering if this was helping get a realistic look or making it worse has anybody got any ideas what programs to use to get the most realism out of fs9 i also thought about installing rex but wasnt sure if it would conflict with the programs i have already my specs windows xpan-m2hd mb with amd 4800+ processor 2 gig ram onboard nvidia 7050 graphics with a geforce 8050 gtx addon graphics card any help you can give would be much appreciated i love flight but really would like to get the most from it thanks

I just put a HIS Radeon 4670 1G AGP video card in, and I just ordered 2 more Gig of ram, which will give me a total of 4Gig of ram. I'm runnig MSFS 2004 (FS9) on a windows xp pro system. Since my computer is not powerful and it takes lots of time to load Fs2004. I wonder if I can disable some of my sceneries(photoreal,airports) that I currently don't use? Such as now I only fly domestic American routes,can I disable all my asia and europe airports and photoreal? Does it affect anything to my scenery library? Can it speed up my loading time?And I wonder if there are any tricks or tips to make Fs2004 load faster. I already put all the aircraft I currently don't use into a specific folder.

HeyI recently installed Editvoicepack 3.1 on Windows 7 for FS2004.It seemed to work ok with .net 1.1 at first but when it came to updating gvp, it managed to create the file but no callsigns could be heard of AI traffic, only the corresponding flight numbers.I tried running it as admin, my FSUIPC 's TCAS id is already set as Flight etc.I even run it as Windows XP SP3 compatible, again of no help at all.Thanks in advance for any ideas

Over the years, I've been asked to place afcads in many different locations within the FS9 scenery folder structure/hierarchy. Many times an author will specify the location and that's where I'll put the afcad. Often times the location is not specified or an author has simply dropped it into the "Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery" folder. So I'd like to have this clarified if possible.What's the optimal placement of an afcad when it's location is not specified? Also, when an afcad, (or any .BGL file), is placed in the "Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery" folder where does it rank in terms of scenery priority? Was wondering, I use Gamebooster to shut down background apps and looked and saw ccc.exe (Cat. Control center) was using alot of memory. Will it affect anything if I shut it down when using FS? Thanks for any help.

Hi guys,I am planning to make the Aerosim L-1011 as realistic as possible when I port it over to FSX and was after some real world sounds to add to the sound package. I am after the actual cockpit sounds of the Auto-throttle and Autopilot disconnect, as well as over-speed and stall warnings, plus any extras. If anyone has any idea where or how I can get hold of sounds like this it would be greatly appreciated. If not I'll have to take a few samples from YouTube videos!Many thanks in advance

I've been spending more time with FS9 lately, mostly 100 mile flights at dusk, my favorite time to fly, and with a new atmosphere file it looks really good...anyway I was taking a baby Bus from Heathrow to Orly today and at 10,000 feet over France a small Cessna passed in front of my windshield about 100 yds away...scared the crap out of me.Heck, that's one reason I quit flying the real ones...too many close calls.But I always wondered if ATC would keep me separated from other birds in the air.Yowza!

Hi,Anyone any idea why I periodically get an error message (by no means every time) when I start FS9 telling me that the module FSSound.dll will cannot be loaded and will be disabled? I already have this in the fs9.cfg file:[OLDMODULES]FSSound.dll=1Are there any other reasons why FS wouldn't want to load the file? Can anyone shed any light on this problem I have with FS9 at the moment? I get good FPS in all areas but FS9 itself seems to be running very slow. When I switch views using the S key it takes ages for the next view to load up, same when coming back to FS after minimising it. When I press alt+tab to get back to FS the screen goes black for 5-10 second and when FS comes back most of the textures are blank and take another 5-10 seconds to load up again. When hitting the alt key to bring up the FS menu bar the cursor goes black and the menu bar takes ages to load ie before any of the drop down lists are clickable. I haven't bought the FlyTampa Kai Tak yet, because I want the buildings but not the airport.Is it possible to set the scenery up (I really want the buildings of Hong Kong!!! and the photoreal scenery) so Kai Tak is disabled and it represents real world aviation as it is today?I posted in FlyTampa's forums but yet only one reply that hasn't answered my query (but thanks for the reply).Thanks for any help anyone can give.I have Thomas Kwongs beautiful VHHH. Just wondering if anyone has got Ground Texture Plus for FS9 by Simview and if so is it any good? I have only seen it mentioned once on this forum but there was no review about it. There doesn't seem to be much at all on the web about this product anywhere, just on SimMarket which has a couple of good reviews but that is all. Is this a good all round package as it seems quite a reasonable price...

With apologies if this has been covered elsewhere....Like most people, I guess, I'm only interested in flying FS9 - from the outset - with the aircraft behaving as close as possible to the real thing. In the "Realism" section of "Settings" there are various options (General, P-Factor, Torque, Gyro and crash tolerance). My question is, quite simply, how should I configure the "Realism" so that flying in FS9 actually is "real", within the program's limitations of course? Also, are there any add-ons/modifications available that I can use which would further enhance the realism?
