Have a look at the red cabin height gauge. It shows 13,300 ft on the ground. We are at La Paz. The rwy is only 13,116 ft. I was just able to get off with a Super VC10 at AUW.Can you????????????????????????vololiberista

Hi folks, I bought the CS 757 as boxed last year and I liked it very much, except the thing that my system at that time was´t really capable of that plane. Then I upgraded to my actual system, which is capable of it very well and I can fly even FSX with some kind of medium settings and mostly good frames. But since I got my new system I flew the 757 only once a time, cause something isn´t working right, I get some kind of accessing error with FSUIPC and thus some gauges remain black. Now I want to start flying 757 again in FS9, cause I think the system is too weak to get FSX working with big iron, so I´ll stick with FS9 for this flights. I´ve heared really great things fr…

I couldn't find anything related to this (as it's also not easy to find the right keywords)...... so forgive me if this has been discussed before.Anyhow.... I'm currently having some issues with the smoothness of the sound during engine spool-ups. Everything else sounds fine, but the spool-up sounds like it is skipping steps as if it was lagging heavily, but the sim isn't lagging at all. I'm currently reinstalling Flightsim with all it's Add-Ons.... I never had this before and it sounds like it's just the 3rd party sounds. Perhaps I'm still missing a file.... it's just I have no idea where to start at to fix this issue. Hardware seems fine..... the only stuff I've install…

Hi guys, my dad is flying to Suvarnabhumi and when i went to check FS9 for it i could not see it there, Then i was aware it was a newer built airport after FS was released, Is there any freeware out there to add this to FS like all the other airports on there. Thank you!

I personnaly did not like the looks of the new format. I liked the old one much better.It seemed too cluttered and complicated to me. I know that it time I'd get use to it, but I was happy to have it like it was. My "2 cents" worth. jerrycwo4

There is a sound file that only goes off while I'm in flight and it masks comms with ATC and it makes no sense but I can't find it to save my life...it sounds something like this:"All set? (garbled) Angeli, three two one, go" in a British accentI've gone through every sound file I have but can't find it...anyone know what this is?

Hey guys. As you guys probably know Wilco Airbus Series huge patch just came out. They say that they fixed most of the navigation problems which was the biggest issue in their Airbuses. Airsimmer released their 1.3 patch some time ago too. I have read some reviews about both of them and I found that there is no good Airbuses but maybe these patches changed the situation? I just would like to know which of them is worth buying? Or maybe none of them? Thanks for your opinions.

After a several year hiatus I've got time to fool around with FS2004. I'm trying to modify the C72 panel to match the panel the of 172 N1106F I once owned and sold years ago (now in the junk heap after a renter attempted to land in an apartment). The panel had a King HSI with glide slope on nav 1 and a normal heading and glide slope indicator on nav 2. I can get the HSI working nav1 using the Mooney HSI gauge but I can't figure out to get a operable vor heading and glide slope on nav 2.Thanks for any help.Dave

Hi all,I just wanted to a flight which started from KSMF and ended at KSFO.However at both airports the ground seems to be flickering a LOT, I have no idea why I also need to give 50% throttle to get the thing moving.Anyone any idea?????Thanks,Jim

HelloApologies if this has been asked many times, reading through old posts has confused me! I'm going to get FS9 as I think it will work best on my computer but would like to enhance the UK scenery. I would also like som airfields to be quite detailed and AI traffic too. So. what is the best way forward for this. UK2000 scenery seems to be well regarded and looking at the screen shots probably fits my need. I don't want detail over the top, for example I currently use FU3 and am actually quite happy with its appearnance (easily pleased!) Other options appear to be from Just Flight or the Horizon Gen-X series (would have to be v2 as I wan to fly at night as well).So basic…

Today I bought Aerosoft's German Airports #1 and #3 and when I when to make them active in Aerosoft's AES they all were activated and it was free. It did not cost me any "credits".... surprise, surprise. Wow, what GREAT looking airports they are. (FS2004). jerrycwo4

Just downloaded this and found that there are no sounds included.(1) are there any recommended sounds which can be used and, if so, where can I find them?(2) assuming there are, should they be installed in the aircraft's 'sound' sub-folder or in the FS9 'sound' sub-folder?(3) are any entries required in any of the .cfg files to 'point' to the sounds?TIA

I have been unable to install one element of this panel (tubpv40.zip), "Airport Chart." One step of installation is to create a data base very much like the "runway info" of the earlier version (3.1) of this panel. I can open the panel; it reads the departure and arrival points. When I click on either of these points, nothing appears. I'm thinking that the panel is not finding the database. Got a quick question. If I put a land class for the entire U.S. in the "Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\Base\Scenery" folder, what priority will that be given compared to a land class that I have in the Scenery.cfg file at priority 1, (largest number)? I mean, land classes are layered by the priority that it's given in Scenery.cfg, right? So since the base folder is way down on the scenery list, then anything with a higher priority will override it. Head check please!Mark

Hi AllJust wondering how you did this, or even better still, got rid of them completely.Basically I have two situations I want to rectify. One is that a handful of my WOAI aircraft come up as selectable aircraft when creating a flight. To get around this, I have gone into the aircraft.cfg file for each of them and changed the "ui_manufacturer" from whatever it was to "AI" so that now at least I only have one category I don't want instead of about 6 or 7, so that's a temporary fix.Does anyone know how I can remove them altogether? I'm guessing there is something in the aircraft.cfg that determines whether or not the aircraft is "selectable"?The other thing I want to do is …

Never ceases to amaze me how many different problems FS9 comes up with to annoy me each time I fly it! Another new one today...When ATC gives me an instruction, the ATC window closes as I click on 1 or 2 or whatever to respond. I have to re-open the window before I can reply (e.g. when transferring to another ATC sector). Annoying. Is this a setting in fs9.cfg or elsewhere that has gone awry, or something else? From 2002 until yesterday, I never saw this before, so why now when I start FS9 this morning? I sometimes think my PC hates me!!! :((BTW, I will get RC5 when it comes out, possibly FPE before that, but until then would like to fix the FS9 ATC if possible!).Thanks,M…

The other day (I think) I saw a program for FSX that would automaticly "tweek" the settings for your computer, based on the hardware of your computer. I waited too long to check it out. Would someone give the the link for that program. Thanks jerrycwo4

I installed traffic files for a number of airlines today using TTool and then ran flight simulator. I do not see AI aircraft at any airports. Did i miss something to activate the traffic?
